JOE Biden has been accused of "lampooning America" and showing "breathtaking arrogance" as he meets with foreign leaders at the G7 summit in Cornwall.

The president has received a barrage of criticism from commentators and GOP politicians, with gun activist Rep. Lauren Boebert warning that Biden "shouldn't return home".

Biden came under fire as reports suggested US diplomats had directly warned Brexit negotiator Lord Frost about "inflaming" tensions in Northern Ireland if he didn't compromise on Brexit border checks.

The warning left commentators outraged as columnist Dominic Green claimed Biden is "lampooning" America.

He wrote in the New York Post: "The president reviving the National Lampoon series on his trip to England. Too bad it’s his own nation he’s lampooning."

Nile Gardiner, director of the Margaret Thatcher Center for the Freedom and Heritage in DC, wrote in the Telegraph that the warning was Biden's "back of the queue" moment.

It was a reference to Obama's remarks in 2016 when he warned the UK would be at "the back of the queue" when it came to a future US-UK trade agreement if the UK voted to leave the EU.

Mr. Gardiner said: "The arrogance of the Biden administration ahead of the G7 meeting in Cornwall has been nothing short of breathtaking. This is no way to treat America's closest friend and ally."

Congresswoman Lauren Boebert suggested that the president "shouldn't return home".

She said: “ Joe for once you and I are in total agreement. Don’t come home. Enjoy the UK! I really mean it. Have all the fish and chips you want. Follow your heart.”

Biden met with British prime minister Boris Johnson on Thursday and will meet with G7 leaders over the coming days.

The pair renewed the Atlantic Charter of 1941 between Churchill and Roosevelt as Boris branded the document a "massive, massive strategic importance" for both London and Washington.

GOP Senator Lindsey Graham told Fox News that the bilateral meeting produced "nothing but fluff and happy talk".

This was the first time they have met since Biden took office while this is the US leader's first overseas trip.

Mr Johnson said the pair discussed several issues ranging from security to climate change.

He was asked if Biden had "made his alarm clear" about the Northern Ireland protocol but he replied: "No, he didn't".

But, he said that the US, UK, and EU all wanted to uphold the Good Friday Agreement and "keep the balance of peace process going".

Boris said: "We affirmed the special relationship - that is not said lightly - the special relationship between our people and renewed our commitment to defending the enduring democratic values that both our nations share."

The couples also gave each other gifts, with Boris presenting the US President with a photo of Frederick Douglass.

Douglass was a former slave who campaigned against the practice in the 1800s.

The PM also gave Jill Biden a collection of short stories by Daphne du Maurier.

In return, America's First Family gave Boris an American-made bike and helmet, while Carrie received a tote bag and a scarf.

In a funny moment between thew two leaders, Biden appeared to dodge greeting Boris and told him to "wait a minute" so he could elbow the PM's wife Carrie.

Biden and Dr Jill arrived in the UK on Wednesday, with the president making a speech at RAF Mildenhall in Suffolk moments later.

The Democrat joked with army personnel that he kept "forgetting" he was president.

After running on stage, Biden began his speech by proclaiming "When I was 14..." before he became distracted by the standing crowd.

Biden then mistakenly referred to the RAF as the RFA in another gaffe.

He said: "These partnerships have hardened and have been hardened in the fire of war and generations of Americans and service members who fought them. Like those RFA pilots."

Source Tells ESPNs Stephen A. Smith Ben Simmons Doesnt Work, Doesnt Listen And Is Constantly Babied

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — It was a heartbreaking end to the 2021 NBA season in South Philadelphia. The 76ers lost Game 7 to the Atlanta Hawks in the Second Round of the NBA Playoffs Sunday night.

Ben Simmons’ future in Philadelphia immediately became a hot topic, as his offensive skills were almost nonexistent throughout the Hawks series. ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith reports that a source “very, very close” to the situation in Philadelphia says Simmons “doesn’t work, he doesn’t listen, and everybody around him is family, and he’s constantly babied.”

“I still believe in him, but we have work to do,” Rivers said. “We’re going to have to get in the gym, put a lot of work in and go forward.”

“We have a very strong group we can believe in,” Morey said in a press conference Tuesday. “None of us can predict the future. We love what Ben brings.”

His teammates are also sticking by Ben. Dwight Howard posted a video on his Instagram account saying people should, “spread more love not hate.”

In the 21-minute-long video, Howard mentions that Simmons is only 24 years old and is still learning who he is as a person.

“I don’t think it’s right that everybody has been sending this man bad messages and all this negativity. And I think it sucks. We’re supposed to be the City of Brotherly Love and the best thing we can do is just send him some positivity,” Howard said.

Danny Green also had his teammates back, saying he wasn’t the only reason the 76ers lost the series.

“It’s not just Ben. We all together win or lose,” Green said. “He’s a mentally tough kid, usually. We don’t know what was going on. It happens with players. Ben has gone through quite a bit this year and it’s not his fault that we lost. Everybody is going to say if Ben had made this, if I had made some shots in Game 1 or so-and so made some shots … we can’t harp on one player.”
