CALLUM HUDSON-ODOI told Gareth Southgate he is not playing games over his international allegiance.

Questions have been raised about the Chelsea winger’s ambitions after he twice rejected call-ups to the England Under-21s.

Hudson-Odoi is also being courted by Ghana chiefs who hope he will switch flags and abandon England to feature more.

Players can now change national teams if they have played no more than three competitive games for one country before the age of 21.

Hudson-Odoi, 20, has three caps for the Three Lions - winning the last of them back in 2019.

But he held clear-the-air talks with the FA and assured bosses he is not holding them to ransom.

Hudson-Odoi said his sole focus is to become a key man for the Blues - in the hope it will earn him a senior recall.

He has started two league games for Chelsea this season and came off the bench in a Champions League game at Juventus.

He also played in Chelsea’s EFL Cup penalty shootout win over Aston Villa last month.

Blues boss Thomas Tuchel says Hudson-Odoi faces tough competition for a first-team place.

And Tuchel has warned the jet-heeled winger that he needs to take his pumped-up attitude from training into matches.

Chelsea resume their Premier League campaign after the international break with a tricky trip to West London neighbours Brentford on Saturday.

BRIT'S VICTORY

Britney called out her family one month after she won a huge legal victory as Jamie, 69, was removed as her conservator after 13 years.

While speaking in court, Judge Brenda Penny said: "Based on what I read in the filings, and I read everything. I do believe the suspension of Jamie Spears is in the best interest of Britney Spears.

"The current situation is unattainable. The court finds the toxic environment Jamie Spears has created needs to be removed today."

The change means that the Mississippi native will have more freedom over her personal life.

She can now make big life decisions, including taking big steps with her fiancé Sam Asghari, 27.

Before the judge made her decision, Britney's lawyer Mathew S. Rosengart slammed Jamie as a "toxic, abusive alcoholic" in court.
