Early Voting Begins Monday For Miami Beach Elections

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Early voting for Miami Beach’s General Election and Special Election will begin Monday, October 17th.

Early voting sites are located at:
- Miami Beach City Hall (First Floor Conference Room) – 1700 Convention Center Drive
- North Shore Branch Library – 7501 Collins Avenue
The following week, early voting will take place Monday (Oct. 25) through Friday (Oct. 29th) from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday (Oct. 30 – 31st), voting will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Suspect At Large After Device Detonated On Long Island Beach, Police Say
Suffolk County Police Arson Section detectives released photos as they attempt to locate whoever detonated the device on Fox Island in the Town of Babylon on Sunday, Nov. 28.
According to police, the department received multiple emergency calls at approximately 11 a.m. on Sunday morning, with Marine Bureau officers locating a crater - roughly four-foot wide and two-feet deep on Fox Island off the coast of Babylon less than an hour later.
Investigators said that the crater appears to have been created when the device was detonated.
No injuries were reported.
Police said that Arson Section detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the operator of a vessel seen leaving the area at the time of the detonation. The boat is described as having stripes.
