Belarussian dictator Alexander Lukashenko is an illegitimate leader who is attempting to cling on to power through using migrants as “siege” weapons against Europe to “save his skin”, a Lithuanian MP has told Breitbart News. Lukashenko, a former Soviet farm boss, who has been in control of Belarus since 1994, has seen his leadership thrown into doubt after mass protests were held throughout the country following last year’s election, which was widely believed to have been rigged in favour of the iron-fisted authoritarian. The struggles for communist-style dictator have only mounted, with his regime suffering under painful sanctions from the European Union imposed after a flight carrying a dissident journalist was forced to land in Belarus by a MiG-29 fighter jet earlier this year. More sanctions from the EU are expected to be implemented against Belarussian companies next month in response to the migrant crisis, which is believed to have been manufactured by the Lukashenko regime to “blackmail” the political bloc. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart London, Lithuanian MP Dovilė Šakalienė said that while the crisis at the Polish border has...
Following the Democrat Party’s huge loss in the Virginia governor’s race, strategists went to the state to find out what happened and get an idea of how bad its outlook could be in the coming year. What they found out, thanks to focus groups and polling, was “even worse than expected,” Politico reported Tuesday. The issues were much more than simply the failings of gubernatorial nominee, Terry McAuliffe, or even President Joe Biden’s declining approval ratings. Instead, the Democrat Party’s brand “was a wreck,” Politico added. The looming Democrat Party disaster continues. https://t.co/v2nQgaYeoW — Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) November 21, 2021 “Voters couldn’t name anything that Democrats had done, except a few who said we passed the infrastructure bill,” the center-left organization Third Way and pollsters noted in a report, which was first obtained by Politico, regarding focus groups in Virginia. The outlet continued: Less than a year ahead of midterm elections, in which even Democrats widely expect they will lose the House and, possibly, the Senate, the party is confronting an identity crisis. It isn’t just Biden’s cratering public approval...
A Lithuanian MP has told Breitbart News that “communism is a plague” and that China represents one of the “most imminent threats” to the free world after the latest round of threats from Beijing over the opening of a de-facto Taiwanese embassy. On Sunday, the Chinese Communist Party officially downgraded diplomatic ties with Lithuania after the NATO ally and EU member state opened the ‘Taiwanese Representative Office in Lithuania’ in the capital city of Vilnius on Thursday. The use of the word ‘Taiwan’ — instead of the CCP’s preferred ‘Chinese Taipei’ — for the name of the office enraged Beijing, who claimed that the move violated the so-called One-China policy, which demands countries do not recognise Taiwan as an independent nation, despite the country having its own distinct government, military, currency, and culture. Announcing the decision to downgrade diplomatic ties, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian warned that the communist government will “take all necessary measures to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity.” The state-run propaganda outlet the Global Times threatened that if “Lithuania offends China and Russia, its security environment will...
Mark and Patricia McCloskey made an appearance outside the Kenosha Courthouse Monday as the jury inside deliberated a verdict on Kyle Rittenhouse. Breitbart News reported that Mark and Patricia stood outside their home with an AR-15 and a pistol as protesters moved through their neighborhood on June 28, 2020. He said, “A mob of at least 100 smashed through the historic wrought iron gates of Portland Place, destroying them, rushed towards my home where my family was having dinner outside and put us in fear for our lives.” The McCloskeys were prosecuted, and on June 17, 2021, Breitbart News observed that Mark McCloskey pleaded guilty to misdemeanor fourth-degree assault, and Patricia pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment. As part of their plea, they forfeited the guns they were holding when standing outside their home on June 28, 2020. On August 3, 2021, Breitbart News reported that Missouri Gov. Mike...
Loud bangs have been heard and plumes of smoke seen rising outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital, with reports of a car ablaze and a bomb squad at the scene. A large police and emergency services presence including a helicopter have been reported by local media in Liverpool, along with a military vehicle said to belong to the Royal Logistics Corps. On-the-ground reporter Alan Weston has said that “Anyone trying to enter the car park of the Women’s Hospital is being turned away” at this time, and the Liverpool Echo has published video footage which shows loud bangs, sirens blaring, and smoke filling the air outside the facility. “We can confirm that an incident occurred at around 11 a.m. today (Sunday 14 November) outside Liverpool Women’s Hospital,” Merseyside Police have confirmed in a terse and detail-light statement. “A cordon around the affected area has been established and a number of surrounding roads have been closed,” they continued, adding that “Emergency services are currently at the scene assessing the situation.” British and Commonwealth war dead were commemorated across the country at 11 a.m. for...
Wendy Rittenhouse, the mother of teenager Kyle Rittenhouse, told Fox News on Hannity on Thursday night that President Joe Biden “defamed” her son last year by calling him a “white supremacist” — a remark for which Biden never apologized. “President Biden don’t know my son whatsoever, and he’s not a white supremacist,” Mrs. Rittenhouse told host Sean Hannity. “He’s not a racist. And [Biden] did that for the votes.” Watch the latest video at foxnews.com As Breitbart News reported last year, Rittenhouse was smeared by Democrats and the media as a “white supremacist” after the Aug. 25, 2020 shootings, in which he killed two men and wounded another during Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He is currently on trial for murder; he claims he acted in self-defense, a claim that has been all but admitted by the prosecution’s own witnesses in the case. Regardless of the outcome of the trial, no evidence has been presented to indicate any kind of racial bias by Rittenhouse. Nevertheless, then-candidate Biden seized on the false narrative to smear Rittenhouse, as Breitbart News reported...
Facebook decided last September to ban statements defending Kyle Rittenhouse as if they were support for “mass murder” — a decision that looks increasingly questionable as Rittenhouse’s lawyers make a strong self-defense case in a Kenosha court. Rittenhouse is facing several counts of murder and other charges. But video evidence of the melee at a Black Lives Matter riot in Kenosha last Aug. 25 suggested that he had fired on people who attacked him — including one armed with a firearm. As Breitbart News has reported, a key prosecution witness admitted Monday that Rittenhouse only shot at him once he had pointed his own pistol at the teenager, and the detective in the case admitted that Rittenhouse only shot people chasing him. Some legal observers opined that Rittenhouse should qualify for a directed verdict — a legal finding by the judge that the prosecution has failed to establish the basic elements of the crime. But the establishment media continued portraying the teenager in the worst possible light: If you want to understand why no one trust the press, today’s headlines about...
Breitbart News has named Emma-Jo Morris, a veteran reporter and editor best known for the Hunter Biden “laptop from hell” scoops, as political editor effective November 8. She joins Breitbart News from the New York Post where she served as deputy politics editor. Morris is responsible for some of the most explosive stories of the past two years, most notably those focused on the corruption of the now-first family. Breitbart News also has named Matthew Boyle Washington Bureau Chief. “I look forward to bringing Emma aboard as a critical part of our great and growing team,” says Boyle. “With crushing crises threatening the current administration, dysfunction ruling the day in D.C., and exciting elections around the corner, there could not be a better time to bring a key player like Emma into the fold.” Breitbart News CEO Larry Solov says Morris will coordinate with Boyle on strategic direction-setting for the organization’s already robust political reporting, as well as head up soon-to-be-announced special projects designed to expand Breitbart’s reach and influence. “We’re excited to welcome Emma-Jo to our team. She has the experience,...
President Joe Biden flies off Thursday to attend global summits in two European cities. After he climbs the steps of Air Force One he will stop, turn and wave goodbye to a Democratic party scrambling to deliver a roughly $2 trillion spending package and a nation troubled by a host of domestic issues. First stop is Rome for a G-20 summit and then its on to Glasgow, Scotland, for the COP26 U.N. Climate Change Conference, personal commitments by a president for whom a visit to the U.S.-Mexico border is just one journey too many. The diplomatic foray comes as Biden faces an increasingly pessimistic nation at home and souring views of his handling of the nation’s economy even as his time physically in Washington remains low. "The Biden administration is the most incompetent group of people in my lifetime in terms of running our government. The same people in charge of the border are also in charge of Afghanistan." https://t.co/Mw7BMmRQEM — Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) October 28, 2021 As Breitbart News reported, Biden has spent 107 of his first 275 days in the...
EAGLE PASS, Texas — Texas Army National Guard troops and equipment deployed by Governor Greg Abbott moved in to block a portion of the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass, Texas. The troops began arriving on Friday and positioned themselves along a one-mile stretch of the river near the downtown area of the city. The troops are stationed in Humvee vehicles carefully placed along the riverbank to serve as a deterrent to illegal crossings near the city. Nearly 30 vehicles are parked less than 150 feet from each other facing Mexico. Border Patrol agents in the area tell Breitbart Texas that more troops were scheduled to arrive later in the day. Britain’s security services have expressed fear that the end of lockdown will see a surge in attacks by lone wolf terrorists radicalised online during the Wuhan virus pandemic in the wake of Sir David Amess’s killing. “Counter-terror police and MI5 have been concerned for some time that once we emerged out of lockdown there would be more people out on the streets and more targets for the terrorists,” a security source told The Telegraph, which is close to Britain’s governing Conservative Party, following the killing of Sir David Amess MP in a stabbing attack believed to have “a potential motivation linked to Islamist extremism” by police. “Combined with the fact that lots of young people have been spending so much time online, it makes for a very worrying mix and there is a real concern about the possible rise of the bedroom radicals,” the source added. After two consecutive winters of drought, Californians are hoping that a new forecast for heavy rain will be fulfilled. The San Francisco Chronicle reported Wednesday that a storm could bring two inches of rain to the state October 20 through 24. The Chronicle noted: There’s a chance the Bay Area could see above-normal rainfall this month that would slightly improve drought conditions and potentially put an end to the region’s wildfire season, according to meteorologists. A storm system over the northeastern Pacific Ocean could bring as much as 2 inches of rain from the Bay Area up to Redding from Oct. 20-24. The heavy rainfall would be “possible near-record-breaking precipitation for late October,” according to the National Weather Service’s Climate Prediction Center. On Thursday, meanwhile, residents of Southern California are bracing for Santa Ana winds that bring warm air and strong gusts to the region, potentially fanning the flames of wildfires, including the ongoing Alisal Fire near Santa Barbara. As Breitbart News reported Wednesday, that blaze threatens the historic Reagan Ranch, where the 40th president and his wife used to vacation, and...
LONDON (AP) – Ireland’s foreign minister has warned that British demands risk a “further breakdown in relations” with the European Union ahead of talks this week aimed at resolving the impasse over the Brexit agreement. Simon Coveney posted the remarks on Twitter after the UK’s Brexit minister reiterated his insistence that the European Court of Justice must not be allowed to oversee implementation of the deal. Coveney described this as a new “red line” that will impede progress in the negotiations. “Does [the British government] actually want an agreed way forward or a further breakdown in relations?” he wrote. National organizations of parents are expressing outrage over the Biden Department of Justice’s (DOJ) intention to direct the FBI to mobilize against parents who oppose CRT and mask mandates in K-12 schools and speak out about their concerns. Parents Defending Education is urging Americans to email the U.S. Justice Department and express opposition to the creation of a “’task force’ to silence parents who are non-violently speaking out for their children at school board meetings.” If you havent already, message @TheJusticeDept and let them know you oppose creating a "task force" to silence parents who are non-violently speaking out for their children at school board meetings: https://t.co/Me84S5FimD https://t.co/Ub9Rh6Rl6o — Parents Defending Education (@DefendingEd) October 6, 2021 The national organization noted the DOJ’s memorandum announcing its new initiative to address “harassment, intimidation and threats of violence” against school officials and school board members was released just days after a letter to President Joe Biden from the National School Board Association (NSBA) sought federal law enforcement help to cope with frustrated and concerned parents the group likened to “domestic terrorists.” Old and...
BERLIN (AP) – German voters are choosing a new parliament in an election that will determine who succeeds Chancellor Angela Merkel after her 16 years at the helm of Europe’s biggest economy. Polls point to a very close race Sunday between Merkel’s centre-right Union bloc, with state governor Armin Laschet running for chancellor, and the centre-left Social Democrats, for whom outgoing finance minister and Vice-Chancellor Olaf Scholz is seeking the top job. Recent surveys show the Social Democrats marginally ahead. The environmentalist Greens, with candidate Annalena Baerbock, are making their first run for the chancellery, and polls put them several points behind in third place. The Social Democrats have been boosted by Scholz’s relative popularity after a long poll slump, and by his rivals’ troubled campaigns. Baerbock suffered from early gaffes and Laschet, the governor of North Rhine-Westphalia state, has struggled to motivate his party’s traditional base. About 60.4 million people in the nation of 83 million are eligible to elect the new Bundestag, or lower house of parliament, which will elect the next head of government. No party is...
Jimmy Kimmel once praised Dr. Anthony Fauci as a “godsend” when the physician appeared on the ABC late-night show in May. Now Kimmel and his producers are remaining silent about a recent bombshell report that calls into question Fauci’s sworn testimony before members of Congress. ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live! is declining to comment on The Intercept’s report that found the U.S. government contributed funding to controversial gain-of-function research on bat coronaviruses at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in China. Documents uncovered by The Intercept contradict Dr. Fauci’s sworn testimony claiming the National Institutes of Health didn’t fund gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab. Ongoing “summary executions,” torture, rape and repression of Taliban opposition was cited by the U.N. on Tuesday as evidence of what lies ahead for Afghanistan as President Joe Biden presses ahead with plans to withdraw U.S. forces. U.N. human rights chief Michelle Bachelet urged the Human Rights Council to monitor the rights situation in Afghanistan in the wake of the Taliban’s takeover and the corresponding U.S. departure. She spoke as more reports emerged of just what lies ahead and those with American connections are targeted. An aide to Sen. Sky News Australia will face a Senate inquiry after serving a week-long suspension by YouTube over allegations of coronavirus misinformation, the senator in charge of the hearing said Friday. The news channel is due to come before an upper house panel hearing in Canberra set down for next Friday, AFP reports. Left-wing Australian Greens Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, chair of the Senate’s media diversity committee, said her panel had called Sky News Australia executives, YouTube, and the Australian media regulator to appear. BERLIN (AP) – Germany’s Green party has come under fire on social media for tweeting a photograph of its election candidates cropped in such a way as to remove all the men. The party’s local branch in Berlin’s Mitte district posted the all-women picture Wednesday on Twitter with a caption that poked fun at photos of the rival centre-right Union bloc which it said showed only “old men.” It later emerged that three of the Greens’ male candidates had been cropped from the image to show only the six women. All of the men are members of ethnic minority groups. Taylan Kurt, one of the male candidates cropped from the picture, dismissed the criticism of his party. “I’m a man and precisely because of that I want Germany to continue to be governed by a woman in future. Because (Baerbock) is better than the two other guys and because it should be natural that half the power belongs to women.” Ario Mirzaie, a Mitte district party spokesperson, said he was surprised by the controversy the picture had generated. He said...
Authorities in the Chinese city of Wuhan on Tuesday ordered all residents to submit to compulsory coronavirus testing after a string of new cases emerged across the population of 11 million. China is currently seeing one of its biggest outbreaks in months, with 300 cases detected in 10 days across the country, the BBC reports. Wuhan, where the coronavirus first emerged in late 2019 before spreading to the world, had previously boasted of having defeated the virus. Britain’s Home Office has been block-booking hotels along England’s south coast to host migrant youths as the country’s long-running Channel crisis continues to worsen, despite promises to end the practice. The government department, broadly responsible for policing, national security, and border control and led by Priti Patel MP as Home Secretary, said in March that it did not “want to be housing [migrants] in hotels anymore”, with the policy acting as a pull factor for illegal immigration as well as angering British taxpayers. The government vowed to send them to reception centres instead. Nevertheless, with the Boris Johnson administration continuing to fail to prevent a crisis first declared a “major incident” back in 2018 from getting worse, never mind alleviate it, The Times now reports that it is continuing to block-book hotels to accommodate new arrivals, some indefinitely. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) reaffirmed its full support of transgender athletes Friday when medical director Richard Budgett declared “transwomen are women” and should be included in women’s sport “when we possibly can.” “After 100 years of promoting women’s sport, it’s up to each of the international federations to ensure that they try and protect women’s sport,” he told a briefing in Tokyo. “Science will help, experience will help, and time will help.” Budgett spoke as New Zealand weightlifter Laurel Hubbard prepared to become the first openly transgender woman at the Olympics when she competes in the +87kg category on Monday, as AFP reports. Several leading Republicans railed against President Joe Biden’s surrender after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced it recommends the return of mask mandates, charging that this serves as the latest instance of Biden’s “utterly and completely failed policies” in exclusive interviews and statements to Breitbart News. The Republicans spoke to Breitbart News after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) announced that they will recommend Americans, even fully vaccinated people, should wear masks indoors again in places with high coronavirus infection rates. Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), a leading critic of Dr. Anthony Fauci’s approach towards the coronavirus lockdowns and mask mandates, told Breitbart News that the Biden administration continues to ignore the science. The Kentucky conservative, also an ophthalmologist, also said that Biden’s ruling would only heighten vaccine hesitancy. “Once again, the Biden administration is ignoring the science,” Paul said, citing a recent British study. “A recent public health England study showed the delta variant to be less lethal than the original wild variant among both vaccinated and unvaccinated individuals. Mandating masks goes against the science...
ABC News is running a crime special this week focused on guns, and they are relying on an outlet that counts self-defense shootings as gun violence. Breitbart News reported that the week-long special is framed as a focus on gun violence across the country. However, in the midst of coverage, ABC News admitted they “dug” down and discovered “violence occurs disproportionately in poorer, urban areas — from Los Angeles to Chicago to New York City.” In other words, Democrat-run cities. Nevertheless, ABC News presents gun violence as a national problem by relying on numbers from the Gun Violence Archive, an outlet that lists defensive gun uses and officer gun uses against criminals as “gun violence.” The Gun Violence Archive also rejects the long-accepted FBI criteria of four fatalities in one incident for a mass shooting. Instead, the Gun Violence Archive will list four injuries in one incident as a mass shooting. As a result, they listed 611 mass shootings in the year 2020. The Gun Violence Archive listed 335 mass shootings for 2015, and this deserves a closer look as...
Brexit leader Nigel Farage has said that since ‘Freedom Day’ on Monday, England appears to be locking down rather than opening up, as hundreds of thousands of Britons are told to quarantine after being pinged by the NHS coronavirus app. The National Health Service app alerts users if they have been in proximity to anyone, also with the phone app, who has tested positive for the Chinese coronavirus and instructs them to self-isolate. Recent weeks have seen an increasing number of people told to quarantine, giving rise to the term ‘pingdemic’. In the first week of July, the NHS app pinged more than 500,000 people; the following week, 600,000. The pingdemic has resulted in staff shortages, including at petrol stations and supermarkets, with reports across the country of empty shelves, prompting Tobias Ellwood MP, the chairman of the defence select committee, to state that the army could be used to help if staff shortages continue. “The urgency of staff shortages now impacting on supermarkets and, by extension, national food distribution, warrants a Cobra meeting today for which the deployment of...
Senate Democrats are hoping to slip as big an amnesty for illegal aliens as possible in a filibuster-proof budget that would only need majority support in the United States Senate. For months, Senate Democrats have eyed using the little-known reconciliation process to jam an amnesty for millions of illegal aliens through Congress with no threat of the filibuster stopping it and only 51 votes in the Senate to approve it. This week, Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) told reporters that while he hopes the amnesty plan includes giving green cards, and thus eventual naturalized American citizenship, to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens enrolled in the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, he wants the amnesty to be as big as possible. “I hope it goes bigger,” Durbin said. As Breitbart News reported, Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) threw his support behind an amnesty plan via reconciliation last week and suggested this week that he wants the amnesty to resemble that of the failed “Gang of Eight” amnesty from 2013. “I’m a 2013 immigration supporter. You can look at the 2013...
Police have released surveillance video showing a 21-year-old man on a bicycle being shot and killed outside a bodega Wednesday at 2:20 p.m. in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. The Daily Mail reports that the deceased man is Pierrot Simeon. He was shot three times by a gunman in a gray t-shirt who was standing outside the bodega when Simeon came into view. The New York Daily News noted that Simeon had just “stepped out of his home to buy a drink at the neighborhood bodega” when he was shot. Police believe the shooting was gang-related. Breitbart News reported that three teens were killed last week in NYC in what are believed to be gang-related hits as well. A 19-year-old was shot and killed, then a 13-year-old was allegedly killed in retaliation to the attack on the 19-year-old. Britain’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) has announced it will no longer bother to attempt prosecuting most illegal migrants even under existing laws, as Home Secretary Priti Patel is once again claiming the Tories are poised to get tough on mass migration. A new deal between prosecutors, police, border agents, the FBI-style National Crime Agency (NCA), and the Home Office will see prosecutions for illegal entry largely abandoned, according to The Times, except possibly in cases involving people who have previously been deported. “Asylum seekers often have no choice in how they travel and face exploitation by organised crime groups,” the CPS claimed in a statement. “The guidance therefore advises that passengers of boats and other vehicles should not be prosecuted unless they are repeat offenders or have previously been deported — and should instead be dealt with by administrative removal channels,” it added. The move completely undercuts Priti Patel, the Secretary of State responsible, broadly speaking, for policing, national security, and border control in the Boris Johnson administration, in her latest efforts to convince the public that the Tories are...
(AFP) — The U.S. and French defence chiefs signed a new “roadmap” for cooperation between their special operations forces Friday as both seek to build international efforts to counter non-state threats like Al-Qaeda and the Islamic State group. French Defence Minister Florence Parly signed the pact at the Pentagon with her counterpart Lloyd Austin, on a visit that came as the U.S. pulls out of Afghanistan and France cuts its counter-terror operations in Africa’s Sahel region. “In the face of terrorism, our special forces have developed a true brotherhood of arms. This convention will deepen the exceptional ties that they have forged,” Parly said in a tweet after the two met. Pentagon spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Anton Semelroth called the roadmap “a statement of intent to broaden cooperation in all areas of special operations.” He said there was no specific regional focus of the agreement. But both countries are said to be looking for ways for allies to continue working together to battle Islamic jihadist groups even as they reduce the presence of their troops in Africa, Iraq, and Afghanistan. During his Tuesday gun control speech, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) announced the re-instatement of a law designed to allow gun companies to be sued under the pretext of “public nuisance.” This puts New York on a collision course with the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act (PLCAA). Breitbart News noted Cuomo criticized the PLCAA, making clear he was going full steam ahead with efforts to counter it via the re-institution of New York’s Public Nuisance Liability for Gun Manufacturers. Cuomo described his goal as removing “immunity” for gun makers. Bloomberg Law notes Assemblywoman Patricia Fahy (D) believes “the use of public nuisance law is thought to be a sort of legal loophole to work around [PLCAA] protections.” That National Shooting Sports Foundation’s Mark Olivia spoke to Breitbart News after Cuomo signed the Public Nuisance Liability legislation, saying: The law signed by Governor Cuomo would decimate the firearm industry while doing absolutely nothing to reduce crime. This law isn’t just for New Yorkers to go after gun companies in New York, but would extend that reach to haul in gun...
Yet another massive ransomware attack has taken place as hackers continue to hold valuable systems hostage — receiving millions of dollars in the process. AP News reports that cybersecurity teams worked quickly on Sunday to limit the impact of the single biggest global ransomware attack on record. The attack was reportedly perpetrated by an affiliate of the notorious REvil hacking group which is best known for extorting $11 million from the meat-processor JBS. The REvil affiliate reportedly infected thousands of victims in at least 17 countries on Friday, primarily through firms that remotely manage IT infrastructure for multiple customers, cybersecurity researchers said. REvil was demanding ransoms of up to $5 million according to researchers. But late on Sunday, the group posted to its dark website a universal decryptor software key that would unscramble all affected machines in exchange for $70 million in cryptocurrency. The FBI said in a statement that while it was investigating the attack its scale “may make it so that we are unable to respond to each victim individually.” Deputy National Security Advisor Anne Neuberger issued a statement saying...
Pop superstar Britney Spears’ request to replace her father’s conservatorship with a financial institution was denied by a Los Angeles, California, judge on Wednesday. UPI reports filed court documents deny “without prejudice” the 39-year-old singer’s request to replace her father with private wealth management firm Bessemer Trust Company of California, as the sole conservator of her estate. The rejection comes less than a week after Spears testified she faced abuse at the hands of her family and her conservatorship has forced her to use birth control, which has prevented her from having a third child, as Breitbart News reported. Britney Spears told a Los Angeles, California, judge on Wednesday that her conservatorship has forced her to use birth control, which has prevented her from having a third child. https://t.co/UTD9yn4dUk — Breitbart News (@BreitbartNews) June 25, 2021 She was placed under the complex legal arrangement – usually reserved for the very old and infirm – after suffering a series of mental breakdowns. During the hearing, Spears directly addressed the court, asking it to end the conservatorship that has controlled her life and finances since...
Ohio Senate candidate Jane Timken had a photograph on her website’s “endorsements” page of her with former President Donald Trump, something an aide for the former president told Breitbart News displeases his team. The photograph, which first received public attention from Timken’s website on Friday, made it appear as though she was claiming Trump’s endorsement — which she does not have. After a number of the other GOP campaigns for U.S. Senate in Ohio flagged it to Trump and his inner circle on Friday morning, Timken removed the photograph from her website. Screen Shot 2021-06-18 at 11.22.25 AM “People close to the president are not happy,” a Trump aide told Breitbart News. It is unclear if the former president will issue a public statement about this at all. But Timken’s decision to remove the photograph as Trump and his team are upset about the matter may help her avoid Trump’s public wrath. Timken’s campaign confirmed to Breitbart News that the website has been changed, and claimed that she was never trying to give off the impression Trump had endorsed her....
President Joe Biden formally announced Tuesday that Washington bureaucrat-turned-Wall Street executive Thomas Nides will be the next U.S. Ambassador to Israel — an appointment that comes more than three weeks after the Israel-Hamas war. As Breitbart News reported last month, when news of the likely appointment broke, Nides has shared anti-Trump conspiracy theories on Twitter, including the claim that President Donald Trump wanted war with Iran. Moreover: Nides has a history of supporting left-wing policies on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, including attempting to stop Congress from defunding the anti-Israel United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), according to the Times of Israel, and trying to stop Congress from limiting funding to the UN Relief and Works Agency, viewed by critics as a pro-Palestinian institution, whose funding Trump eventually cut (and which the Biden administration is busy restoring). … Nides also retweeted a message by the Lincoln Project — later to be embroiled in scandal — speculating that Trump was hiding something in his medical records… Nides also retweeted a false claim that Trump “wouldn’t honor” American World War I dead because...
Radical socialist Jeremy Corbyn called for the G7 nations — specifically singling out the United States — to recognise Palestine as a state and to impose an arms embargo on Israel. Speaking before thousands of anti-Israeli activists outside Number 10 Downing Street on Saturday, former Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn hailed the international protest movements against the Jewish state, saying that he hopes the mobs in America will force the Biden administration and the U.S. Congress to recognise Palestine as a state. An anti-Isreal protester holds a placard reading “Lesbians and Gays Support the Palestinians” at a Downing Street protest. June 12th, 2021. Kurt Zindulka, Breitbart News “Our demands are very clear,” Corbyn told the crowd, saying: “The end of the occupation of the West Bank, the withdrawal of all the settlements and an end of the settlement policy, an end to the siege of Gaza.” “Occupation is wrong. Siege is wrong. So when the G7 conclude their discussions in Cornwall, I hope Boris Johnson does two things: ditch the private plane and show some compassion to the environment and...
Israel’s parliament, the Knesset, confirmed Naftali Bennett as the country’s new prime minister on Sunday evening, at the head of a narrow majority coalition of small parties that has replaced Benjamin Netanyahu for the first time in 12 years. The vote was as close as it could possibly be, with the Knesset voting 60-59 to confirm the government by one vote. Earlier, the Knesset heard speeches from Bennett and Netanyahu, as well as from smaller parties. Bennett thanked his rival for his service, and promised to work with U.S. President Joe Biden, though vowed to oppose the Iran nuclear deal. Netanyahu retorted that Bennett could not be trusted to keep his word, and vowed to topple the new government from the opposition benches, assuming that his last-minute efforts to encourage coalition members to defect from Bennett failed. Other speeches included an oration from Mansour Abbas, whose Islamist Ra’am party is the first Arab party to play a major role in an Israeli government. Abbas delivered his address in Arabic, which is one of Israel’s official languages. Joel B. Pollak is...
Los Angeles residents are signing petitions for the recall of city council member Mike Bonin, as public outrage against his efforts to house the city’s homeless at the beach continues to grow. The Los Angeles Times reported this weekend on the deteriorating conditions near Venice Beach, which has always attracted eccentric people but has become so unlivable that residents are afraid to walk there or even to look at what is happening in tent cities on their doorstep: A little over a decade ago, things began to change. The neighborhood took on some harder edges, more people began camping along the boardwalk, and the Krauses no longer felt as safe as they once had. “I’d say it really exploded about three years ago,” said Arthur. Tents multiplied, and the beach became an open-air clinic for the poor, the addicted and those in physical or mental distress. “I see people wake up, lower their pants and go to the bathroom,” Rini said. “The beach is supposed to be for everybody.” The couple profiled in the Times article told the newspaper that they intend...
The U.S. State Department approved a possible $3.5 billion sale of AH-64E Apache helicopters to Australia on Thursday, as Canberra continues to invest in its century-plus defense alliance with Washington. The acquisition is just the latest in a string of Australian defense purchases from U.S. manufacturers including 160 M1A1 tank structures and an additional four Boeing CH-47F cargo helicopters with related equipment, as Breitbart news reported. According to the the Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA), Australia’s government sought 29 Apaches and associated equipment — including spare parts, Hellfire Captive Air Training Missiles, M230E1 + M139 AWS automatic gun — as well as training and logistical support. The prime contractors in the latest program will be Boeing and Lockheed Martin, the DSCA said. “The proposed sale will improve Australia’s capability to meet current and future threats, and will enhance interoperability with U.S. forces and other allied forces,” the DSCA’s announcement said, according to UPI. “Australia will use the enhanced capability to strengthen its homeland defense and provide greater security for its critical infrastructure.” Australia’s defense ministry announced the request in January, saying the AH-64E Apache...
L.A. City Council member Mike Bonin pushed for his plan to build temporary homeless shelters at a beach parking lot on Tuesday evening — even as firefighters continued to battle a wildfire nearby that was allegedly set by a homeless arsonist. As Breitbart News reported, a homeless man, Ramon Santos Rodriguez, 48, was charged with arson on Tuesday in connection with fires that threatened residents in Bonin’s 11th district. Yet Bonin continued to push for a plan to build “temporary” homeless shelters on local beach parking lots — even though firefighters had used one of those lots as a staging area to battle the blaze. (Breitbart News) In an interview with local Fox affiliate KTTV-11, Bonin criticized those whom he said had “stood in the way” of solutions such as his plan. He also tried to deflect criticism from homeless people themselves. “I think that a lot of folks that you talk to on the street who say they don’t want something, haven’t seen what there can be to be offered,” Bonin told KTTV’s Elex Michaelson. Asked by reported Phil...
Arab rioters set fire to another synagogue in the mixed Arab-Jewish city of Lod (Lydda), Israel, on Thursday night as violence between Jewish and Arab citizens continued. Earlier this week, as Breitbart News reported, Arab rioters launched a “pogrom” against Jewish residents, setting fire to synagogues and attacking local Jewish-owned stores. Crowds of Jewish hooligans also attacked Arab businesses, and an Arab driver was attacked in the city of Bat Yam. Israeli leaders across the political spectrum, from left to right, condemned the violence, as authorities struggled to maintain control. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu berated his fellow Israelis, telling them it was unacceptable for Arabs to “lynch” Jews, and vice versa. But the violence has continued, as the Times of Israel reported Thursday: A synagogue has reportedly been torched in Lod, as police again fail to contain raging riots in the central Israel city. More people — Jews, Arabs and police officers — have been injured in widespread clashes in the city and other Jewish-Arab cities. מצב בלתי נתפס ששורפים בית כנסת בלוד. French anger around the British reclaiming their territorial waters post-Brexit and the British response to it took a bizarre turn as a tricorn-wearing re-enactor was seen firing a flintlock musket as French fishermen prepared to blockade a British port. Upwards of 60 French fishing boats and other craft had sailed to the Crown Dependency of Jersey, a largely self-governing island owned by the British crown but just 15 miles off the French coast. It is believed the ships were preparing to blockade the island’s main harbour, and London has dispatched two small Royal Navy warships to keep the peace. A blockadewould not have been unusual behaviour for French fishermen, who by modern Western European standards are extremely militant and jealously guard their own interests, not infrequently with violence. Blockades of ports and ramming attacks on rivals are not unheard of — with clashes frequently seeing maritime signalling flares used as improvised guns — so that the French fishermen should react poorly to the Channel Islanders introducing new post-Brexit fishing rules was not unexpected. More unusual, perhaps, was the scene caputred by...
A group of gunmen suspected of being part of Los Zetas shot at a Mexican state police helicopter injuring the pilot. The wounded pilot quickly landed the aircraft while bleeding profusely. The attack took place on Friday afternoon when a helicopter belonging to Nuevo Leon’s State Police forces carried out air reconnaissance over an area northwest of the Monterrey Metropolitan area. The region has seen a heavy presence of cartel activity in recent weeks. Just one day before the attack, Mexico’s National Guardsmen raided a narco-camp where members of the Cartel Del Noreste faction of Los Zetas held up. This comes as the criminal organization seeks to gain new territories. As the flight crew flew over the area where the seizures took place,  a group of gunmen on the ground began shooting at the aircraft. Some of the bullets struck the pilot, injuring him. The gunfire forced the pilot and co-pilot to take evasive maneuvers and return to the headquarters while they radioed for help. By the time the helicopter landed, emergency medical personnel were waiting to treat...
Brexit leader Nigel Farage has told disheartened American conservatives, “don’t get mad, get even” as he prepares to hit the grassroots campaign trail to re-energise the right next week. Mr Farage announced earlier this week his America’s Comeback Tour with the FreedomWorks conservative activist organisation, where the Brexit leader will tour around a dozen states to speak to and inspire activists. Speaking to Fox Business’s Varney & Co on Thursday, Mr Farage described that while “getting the vote out” and knocking on doors may be “the least glamorous side of politics”, it can return real results. “You can increase a candidate’s vote share by about 20 per cent if you get it right,” Mr Farage told host Stuart Varney, “And the reason I’m doing it is because conservatives in America are feeling depressed, deflated, disillusioned by everything that’s going on” in regards to the Biden presidency and Donald Trump’s loss in the November elections. Don’t get mad. Get even. pic.twitter.com/mgkqZ8u7nP — Nigel Farage (@Nigel_Farage) April 29, 2021 Mr Farage reflected on the similar low spirits Brexiteers felt when after three years...
Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer (D) falsely smeared Breitbart News as a “white nationalist website” recently, a lazy liberal trope employed to dismiss its reporting. During the April 12 edition of the MIRS Monday podcast, Whitmer was asked, “Have you had any days off?” She was also asked where she would have gone for spring break. “It seems like you’ve been on for an entire year,” host Kyle Melinn said. Whitmer claimed, “My daughter had spring break. We didn’t do much of anything. You saw me. I was in town the whole time.” This week, it was reported Whitmer herself took a “personal trip” to Florida “about a month ago.” Whitmer’s communications director, Tiffany Brown, said the governor wasn’t on “spring break” but was assisting “her elderly father, who is battling a chronic illness.” “It is maddening,” Whitmer said. “It is a two-day trip. I wasn’t partying in Miami.” Whitmer was asked about Breitbart News’s exclusive reporting that her chief operating officer, Tricia Foster, had traveled to Florida for spring break with a group of teenagers, despite the governor’s orders for...
MISSION, Texas — A month has elapsed since the expiration of the Biden Administration’s 60-day pause in border wall construction. A senior Department of Homeland Security official disclosed to Breitbart Texas that although Customs and Border Protection has provided recommendations to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas on which sections to compete, action does not appear to be forthcoming. Shortly after taking office, President Joe Biden signed an executive order temporarily halting any further progress on border walls so individual contracts could be evaluated. With the exception of “make-safe” activities at worksites, construction projects immediately came to a halt, Breitbart Texas reported. The continuation of the pause keeps the contractors on site pending a final decision—one that does not appear to be imminent, according to the source. The pause in construction costs taxpayers about $6 million per day, Breitbart Texas learned from the source. The expenditures are based on materials ordered before but delivered after the work stoppage plus compensation for equipment rentals or ownership costs. Equipment sits idle in Mission, Texas, known as the Southwest Valley Constructors (SWC) site. SWC was awarded...
North Las Vegas Mayor John Lee, a lifelong Democrat who this week announced his departure from the Democrat Party to join the Republican Party, told Breitbart News Saturday there is a “certain migration taking place” as people question “where they belong and who they want to align with” ideologically. Lee on Tuesday announced his formal switch from the Democrat Party to the Republican Party because of what he said is the left’s continued move toward socialism. “It’s not the party that I grew up with 25 years ago in this environment, and it’s not the party that I can stand with anymore,” he said. Lee detailed his departure during an appearance Saturday on Breitbart News Saturday, attributing his formal move, in part, to recent state Democrat Party elections, which saw “four of the five people” as members of the “socialists of America organization.” Lee said they essentially took over the whole convention and got elected. “From that point on, all of the sudden I realized what I hear going on, I think, in Washington, has actually just happened in Nevada, and I have...
The gun control fact sheet distributed by the White House claims AR-pistols with stabilizer braces are “concealable,” and cited that alleged concealability as a reason the firearms should face a higher level of regulation. The White House fact sheet says: “The alleged shooter in the Boulder tragedy last month appears to have used a pistol with an arm brace, which can make a firearm more stable and accurate while still being concealable.” The word “concealable” is relative, at best, in this context, and perhaps misleading. While it is certain that some AR-pistols with stabilizer braces can be concealed in tall backpacks or other bags, they cannot be concealed on a person’s body the same way a traditional pistol or revolver can. During his speech, Biden also claimed that AR-pistols are “more lethal” if they have a stabilizer brace. He did not provide an explanation for his claim of greater lethality. Biden’s end goal is to have AR-pistols with stabilizer braces placed under the purview of the National Firearms Act. This could mean that owners of such firearms would be required...
