All rights reserved. Speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, Schweinsteiger said: "When I first came to Manchester United De Gea said, 'Tell me, am I better than Neuer?' "I was like 'No, you're not. It is a different level.' He was angry, but I explained why. "Whenever he had a great game he would ask me again, I would still say he wasn't on that level." Four-time Man Utd player of the year De Gea, 31, has been in excellent form for the Red Devils so far this season, despite their disappointing run of results. But he has often been in Neuer's shadow throughout his career, with the German winning the IFFHS World's Best...
LIVERPOOL manager Jurgen Klopp clashed with a reporter in his post-match interview over the referee's decisions during Sunday's loss at West Ham. The Hammers ended the Reds' club record 25-match unbeaten run across all competitions with a 3-2 victory that saw them overtaking the Merseysiders in third place. 1Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wasn't happy with the referee's decisions after the defeat at West Ham However, Klopp appeared to be unhappy with certain decisions made by referee Craig Pawson at the London Stadium. The German head coach appeared unhappy that a foul wasn't awarded before Alisson's own goal and hinted that Aaron Cresswell should have been sent off after a rough challenge on Jordan Henderson. Klopp told BBC Radio 5 Live: "[The unbeaten run coming to an end] is the least of my problems. However long a run is, it will come to an end. "There are couple of things that happened during the game that are difficult to take. If you don't take your chances you're leaving things up to ref decisions." Klopp was then quizzed on which decisions...
Check out our must-buy plant-based cookbooks! Learn more Lincolnshire Wildlife Park was contacted after a man found a very angry snapping turtle in a waterway. The angry snapping turtle was named Hagar the Horrible, and people say that he very much lives up to the name.  It is believed that the turtle was a pet that had either been abandoned or escaped.  Park boss Steve Nichols said, “When you have children around in a family environment, they are just not suitable pets. They are very cute when they are young, [but] this chap could probably take a good chunk out of your finger without stopping.” Turtles became a big problem in the 1990s when the Teenage Ninja Turtles series came out. Leading many families to purchase invasive turtle species for their children. This proved to be a danger to the environment, which is why the wildlife park is also a sanctuary for rehoming turtles. Following Jon Gruden’s resignation as head coach for the Oakland Raiders, Fox Sports 1 commentator Shannon Sharpe expressed outrage that the final straw for people was Gruden’s homophobic language rather than his racist language. Speaking on Undisputed Tuesday, Sharpe expressed full support for Gruden’s resignation, saying he had a repeated pattern of using an “insensitive and racist tongue.” Despite that, Sharpe believed that Gruden would have survived the controversy if revelations about his calling NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a “fa***t” and a “clueless anti-football p***y” did not surface. “When he said this about the blacks, it’s about forgive and forget. When he made those ‘gay slurs,’ when he said what he said about women, that was a bridge too far,” Sharpe exclaimed. Sharpe noted that even though Gruden received criticism for saying black NFLPA leader DeMaurice Smith had “lips the size of Michelin tires,” the “groundswell” did not occur until his misogynistic and homophobic comments came to light. “When it came to these misogynistic, when it came to these homophobic comments, now all the sudden the groundswell,” he said. Ultimately, Sharpe...

A parent in Austin, Texas has been accused of physically assaulting a teacher during a back-to-school event – over mask wearing. It's not the only incident of its kind. Several incidents at schools and local school board meetings have gained national attention as debates over mask requirements turn heated, some of them resulting in physical violence. Superintendent Tom Leonard of Austin's Eanes Independent School District confirmed in a letter to parents and staff this week that a parent "physically assaulted a teacher by ripping a mask off her face," at a "Meet the Teacher" event. Leonard said other parents yelled "at a teacher to take off her mask because they could not understand what the teacher was saying while her face was covered." The school district is following an order that mandates masks in all schools in Travis County, and will do so unless the Texas Supreme Court eventually rules this order is superseded by an executive order from Governor Greg Abbott, Leonard said. The superintendent said while the order requires masks be warn by students, the way it is...
IOC president Thomas Bach made his first public appearance on Tuesday since arriving in Tokyo last week and insisted the Olympic Games cannot be called off, despite resistance in Japan to the event going ahead. Last week, Tokyo went into a state of emergency and banned fans from attending nearly all events amid a rise in coronavirus cases. That state of emergency will be in place across the duration of the Games, which runs from July 23 until August 8 and people have protested against it going ahead outside of the hotel Bach is staying in. Despite looking to appease concerns from the Japanese public, Bach embarrassingly slipped up on his words and called the Japanese people 'Chinese people'. Thomas Bach, the IOC president, made his first public appearance in Tokyo on Tuesday 'Our common target is safe and secure games for everybody; for the athletes, for all the delegations, and most importantly also for the Chinese people - Japanese people,' Bach said, catching his mistake quickly.  'You have managed to make Tokyo the best-ever prepared city for the...
Law enforcement in Colorado Springs say that the suspect who killed six people and took his own life in front of a group of children at a birthday party over the weekend was upset because he had not been invited. The suspect, 28-year-old Teodoro Macias, had been dating one of the victims, Sandra Ibarra-Perez, for a year and he had not been invited to the family gathering, police said in a statement on Tuesday. “The suspect had a history of controlling and jealous behavior toward the victim. This behavior in particular was most obvious with trying to isolate her from her family, and making efforts to prevent her from attending family events,” authorities said. While the investigation is still ongoing, Lt. Joe Frabbiele said at the press conference that the alleged motive had been determined based on interviews with family members and phone communications between the suspect and Ibarra-Perez, 28. There were no previous reported domestic violence incidents between the couple. Macias reportedly showed up to the party alone and entered the mobile home where the gathering took place early Sunday...

All family members, except Bill, were reportedly invited to the 80-acre Caribbean hideaway. Insiders claim Bill was not invited as "there was a considerable amount of acrimony associated with the split". "So here’s the takeaway," TMZ claimed. THOMAS TUCHEL has revealed exiled striker Tammy Abraham is 'worried, sad and angry' about his Chelsea situation. The England striker hasn't featured since a 1-1 draw with Southampton on February 20. 3Tammy Abraham's future at Chelsea looks bleak under Thomas TuchelCredit: EPA Abraham, 23, was recently left out of the squad for the FA Cup semi-final win over Manchester City while missing Tuesday's 0-0 draw with Brighton. He was a regular under ex-boss Frank Lampard and remains the club's top scorer this season with 12 goals. His future at Stamford Bridge is looking increasingly bleak with speculation the forward is already looking to move on. Tuchel has handed Abraham a glimmer of hope by advising him 'not to be too concerned' but admitted his emotions are running high. The German boss said: "Everybody is concerned when they're not in the squad but it's never an easy decision for me to take. "I have a lot of sympathy for him and I can understand that he is worried and sad and maybe angry with me when I make...
The leaders of the EU see each other this Thursday by videoconference and they do so in a turbulent context. In fact, it has been that way for months, but now it seems that the 27 – and the European Commission – have problems multiplying. The European Council that is being held has a tight agenda, even without the debate on Russia, which has been postponed until the summit can be face-to-face. In any case, the vaccination passport (or certificate, as Brussels prefers to call it) is the main issue, but not the only one, which will have to be addressed by the Heads of State and Government. On the table is the European Commission’s proposal for a vaccination certificate that has two versions, one in paper and the other in digital format, and that includes proof of being vaccinated, a negative test or an antibody test. It will, in theory, be bilingual and will not discriminate. You do not need to be vaccinated to travel, as confirmed by the president of the Community Executive, Ursula von der Leyen....

Former Clueless star and Fox News conservative firebrand Stacey Dash has denounced Donald Trump and slammed her old news channel for casting her as an 'angry Black woman.' In an exclusive interview with DailyMailTV, Dash turned on the former president and called out the Capitol riots on January 6 as 'appalling and stupid.' The comments mark a stunning u-turn from her previous ardent support for Trump. Dash, 52, drew intense criticism for backing Trump's statement after the 2017 Charlottesville neo-Nazi rally in Virginia that there were 'very fine people on both sides,' for defending Trump's claim that Mexican immigrants were drug traffickers, rapists and criminals and calling for an end to celebrating Black History Month. The controversial former commentator's views proved too far-out even for Fox news, who fired her in 2016 after she claimed Barack Obama 'didn't give a s**t' about terrorism. But in her DailyMailTV interview, Dash apologized for any hurt she had caused, blaming her 'arrogant pride and anger', vowed to withdraw from politics and claimed she was typecast by the channel. RODRI will NOT continue as Manchester City's penalty taker despite his strike against Tottenham, according to Pep Guardiola. Former Vice President Mike Pence feels "residual bitterness" toward former President Donald Trump over his lack of concern for Pence's safety during the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, "Fox News Sunday" host Chris Wallace told "The Story" on Wednesday. "That weekend [after the riot], some members of the Pence team called me up ... to make it clear — this is how angry the Pence team was — that Donald Trump never called Mike Pence when he was in the bunker inside the Capitol, to ask him if he was safe, to inquire about his safety, nor did he ever urge the people who were storming the Capitol to stand down and not to go after Mike Pence," Wallace recalled. Pence, in his role as vice president, was presiding over a joint session of Congress when the Capitol was breached by a mob attempting to stop the certification of Biden’s Electoral College victory. Five people, including a Capitol Hill Police officer, died during the attack, which forced Pence and other lawmakers to flee the House and Senate chambers. Pence's team said Trump's failure to call off the mob and ensure the safety of his loyal second-in-command represented the "ultimate betrayal," Wallace...
Tyler “Ninja” Blevins is arguably the biggest content creator to ever play Fortnite. Even though he quit the game in early 2020, fans around the world still remember him as a Fortnite veteran. The Republican Party has a problem: It has too much anger and not enough votes. To illustrate, we might consider the storming of the Capitol on January 6.  If every one of the protestors who showed up in Washington, D.C., that day — either at the peaceful rally near the White House, and/or at the violent invasion of the Capitol — instead had spent his or her time recruiting 10 new voters, then the GOP, including Donald Trump, would have had a much better year. After all, just 44,000 more votes, distributed across three states and a single congressional district, would have given Trump a victory. Indeed, just the day before the riotous events, Republicans lost two Senate seats in Georgia. So wouldn’t it have been better for the GOP if the protestors, a few days earlier, had gathered in the Peach State to help with getting out the vote?   If so, the GOP might still have its Senate majority. Some will say, of course, that the protesters, angry as they were, would have been ill-suited for the slower-paced process of politicking;...

MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — A 64-year-old Maplewood man is accused of pulling a gun on a gym manager during an argument over members not wearing face masks. According to the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office, Michael Florhaug faces one felony charge of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon in connection to the Dec. 31, 2020 incident. Florhaug allegedly went to an LA Fitness location in Maplewood that afternoon to personally monitor if members of the gym were complying with the state’s face mask requirements for gyms. He’s not an active member of the gym, authorities said. COMPLAINT DETAILS The incident began when Florhaug was speaking to an employee at the front desk in an aggressive and angry manner, due to some gym members not wearing masks, according to the complaint. Tens of thousands of Indian farmers are protesting new laws created in September that overhaul how they can sell their harvests. Farmers from the nearby Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh states have flocked to New Dehli where a police presence is trying to prevent more protesters from entering the city. The protests are as a result of laws passed in September by Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. Previously, Indian farmers would sell their products via an auction through the country’s Agricultural Produce Market Committee. Farmers had long-term security due to capped minimum prices that prevented sellers from undercutting their competition. The new laws brought in this September dismantle that system, however, and allow for anyone to sell their products to anyone else with no guaranteed minimum price.   BBC/YouTube Protesters believe these new laws will allow big companies to drive prices down to levels where individual farmers are unable to compete. Mukut Singh is the president of a farmers union in Uttar Pradesh and spoke to CNN about why he is protesting. “There is a lot of anger...
Hospitals overrun as 1M cases reported in a week Rubio refers to Biden as president-elect as Trump refuses to concede The biggest problem with Mel Gibsons Santa Claus movie Fatman is its not bad enough If we're being honest, before I sat down to watch Fatman, I already had in mind what this story was going to look like. Hell, I even had a potential headline jotted down: "As if 2020 isn't bad enough, Mel Gibson is trying to ruin Santa for you." But if you're reading this, you've probably noticed that isn't what I went with, and that is, sadly, because the most offensive thing about Fatman is that it isn't more offensive. © Provided by Entertainment Weekly Saban Films Released in theaters last Friday and coming soon to VOD and digital, this mix of dark comedy and action from directors Eshom and Ian Nelms stars Gibson as the titular Fatman, usually referred to as Chris (as in Cringle) by those who know him. Santa's business is struggling and in debt, pushing him into a reluctant relationship with...
Actor Robert De Niro said Monday on MSNBC’s “The Beat” that it confounded him that people voted for President Donald Trump in 2016, and he was “so angry and so enraged” that people bought into the way he behaved in office. After playing a montage of De Niro’s most infamous mobsters characters, Melber said, “What do we take from all the tough guys you have played and thinking about this is a country that celebrates toughness but sometimes gets carried away with mafia movies.” De Niro said, “Of course I’m an actor. I do the parts. I enjoy them. But I’d like to even think in all of those parts there’s a certain dignity. Somewhere buried in there. That I don’t think a person like Trump I know doesn’t have. There’s no center. You have to have a center no matter who you are. It is just it’s like somebody defying gravity. They’ll never do. That’s why we have rules and laws. We have judges. We have structure. If we don’t have that, we have nothing. We have chaos. We have...
A Thursday report from The Daily Beast claims that Donald Trump is angry with Attorney General William Barr for not sufficiently using the Department of Justice to help him as Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden continues to draw closer to victory. According to the report, Trump and his team believe that Barr’s DOJ is “insufficiently subservient.” “Why isn’t [DOJ] on this?” the president allegedly asked. John Dowd, an informal legal adviser for Trump who represented him during the Mueller probe, allegedly said that he hopes Barr’s Justice Department intervenes in the election. The Daily Beast report comes amid the Trump campaign’s legal battle to stop vote counting in Georgia, Michigan, and Pennsylvania amid close races in each region. Although Barr has yet to swoop in, the publication suggested that tit’s still a possibility. “Some Justice Department officials, particularly those who consider Attorney General Bill Barr little more than a Trumpist enforcer, have long predicted that senior Justice Department leadership would not sit on the sidelines while the Trump campaign contests election counts in court.” A current federal prosecutor who spoke...
ANGRY teens have accused villagers of racism after they were't allowed to put a Black Lives Matter poster in their local red phone box. The youngsters demanded a BLM message should be posted in a disused phone box in the village of Urchfont, Wiltshire - but their parish council voted down the idea. 4The teens in Urchfont, Wiltshire, have accused the village elders of racismCredit: jake McPherson 4Emily Kinnaird, 16, is one of the teens fighting for a Black Lives Matter display to be put in the disconnected phone boxCredit: jake McPherson Sparked by the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis, US, the teens wanted to turn the defunct red kiosk into a historical information point with a Black Lives Matter display. But the village elders in Urchfont, which has just over 1,000 residents, voted the concept down by five votes to three. The parish council bought the decades-old red phone box in 2018 - but it was already decommissioned like most other phone boxes across the UK. So the local youngsters thought it was an ideal spot to spread...

BOSTON (CBS) – An angry Massachusetts Gov. Charlie Baker slammed Congress, including fellow members of the Republican party, for putting more of their focus on confirming a replacement for Ruth Bader Ginsburg to the Supreme Court than the coronavirus pandemic. The Republican governor said states have received “uneven, inconsistent response” from the federal government. “And they’re now going to wrap themselves up in a conversation about the Supreme Court – which is important – but nobody looks good with respect to how they’ve chosen to position themselves over the course of the last four years on this issue – at a point in time what I would really like to see them focus on is the pandemic – which has killed 200,000 people in the United States of America so far, and continues to wreak havoc on our economy and our communities across, not just the Commonwealth, but across the country. So, yeah, I’d like to see them focus on the pandemic,” said Baker. Baker called the response from Democrats and Republicans “classic Washington behavior,” pointing out previous stances by...

By Jocelyn Noveck | Associated Press “We hope you are as excited as we are,” goes the promotional email from the studio, “about bringing the beloved pastime of going to the movies back into America’s lives.” Well, yes, of course we are. But then we watch the film. And we wonder …. Really? THIS movie? It’s more than a little disturbing that “Unhinged,” essentially an angry-white-male revenge flick, will be the first wide release to invite patrons back to theaters since the coronavirus pandemic shut them down. Because, well, besides an energetically committed (no pun intended) performance from Russell Crowe, “Unhinged” comes off as a frankly mediocre effort, with no apparent point other than titillating (but somehow tedious) gore, misogynistic rage, and endless (though impressive) car crashes. It also lacks any discernible trace of deeper social meaning, or even — which might have saved it — a whiff of self-aware wit. So, again, THIS is the movie that’s going to proudly welcome us back to the multiplex? The real question is whether it’s even worth watching from your couch —...
A bride was slammed online after ranting about guests who said they would not attend her wedding because of COVID-19.  The unnamed US-based bride had shared a screenshot of a friend's answer to an RSVP, where they told her they didn't want to attend gatherings.  Annoyed at the friend's decision, she said she didn't care about any of her guests except her fiance and said she had the right to be annoyed, as her wedding was 'her day.' Her rant was shared on the That's It, I'm Wedding Shaming group on Facebook, where she was called an 'a******' for reaction this way.  Another bride spotted the message in a wedding preparation group and shared it to the shaming group, saying she found it entitled.  A bride-to-be was slammed after ranting at people who decided not to attend her wedding due to covid-19 (stock image) The bride doubled-down and said she had the right to be angry at people because her wedding was 'her day' 'I recently joined a wedding group specific to the month and year I'm getting...
President Donald Trump went on the attack against powerful women Thursday morning, labeling vice presidential nominee Kamala Harris a 'mad woman,' blasting Speaker Nancy Pelosi as 'stone-cold crazy,' calling MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski a 'ditzy airhead,' and saying Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is 'not even a smart person.' Harris is a new addition to the president's list of insults - becoming a target after presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden named her his running mate - but Pelosi, Brzezinski and Ocasio-Cortez have frequently felt Trump's wrath. President Trump often engages in gender-based attacks on women, particularly his female critics, as a way to attack their intelligence. He also engages in sexist and racist stereotypes such as the 'angry' woman. The NFL Top 100 list has become an annual source of gripes among players. The latest grievance comes from Chargers receiver Keenan Allen, who ranked No. 77 on the list. The ranking, which is voted upon by the players, was a steep drop-off from his No. 38 ranking entering the 2019 season even though he increased his receptions and receiving yards last year while his touchdowns remained the same. “Starting to think I did something to somebody,” Allen tweeted. Specifically, Allen believes it has to do with his speed. “Ok I’m tired of biten my tongue (sic)…” he wrote. “[Tyreek Hill], [Mike Evans], [Chris Godwin]… (and the list goes on) ARE NOT a better receiver than me! Faster than me… every day of the week but separation… CHILD PLEASE (sic).” Allen ranked fourth in receptions and sixth in receiving yards, both of which surpassed Mike Evans and Tyreek Hill, albeit neither played a full season like Allen did. Chris Godwin had fewer receptions but finished ahead of Allen in receiving yards. see also Tom Brady channels ex-president in...

In the video, the woman tried to cover her mouth with her hand as a "face covering", however, the employee insisted she must wear a face mask. As employees continued to tell her the office's policy, she claimed she talked to her attorney before arriving and stated she had the right to sue for harassment. 2 The woman tried to cover...
For a brief moment, California returned to bars, beaches and Botox. But after a few days, much of the state is reversing course as hospitals see an alarming spike in people sick with COVID-19, raising the specter of an overwhelmed medical system. “It’s scary,” said Peter Chin-Hong, an infectious disease expert at UC San Francisco. “We still haven’t recovered from the first phase, and now we have to get ready for the next one.” While Chin-Hong and other medical experts said California currently has the capacity it needs to treat patients, the future is uncertain. Coronavirus cases jumped to more than 220,000 Monday, creeping steadily upward in some places, skyrocketing in others and prompting health officials in multiple counties to demand the closure of bars, hair salons and other businesses opened only days ago. Gov. Gavin Newsom said hospitalizations have increased 43% in the last two weeks while admissions to ICU units have increased 37%. He hinted at stricter statewide action if counties were unable to contain outbreaks. “We don’t like the trend line,” Newsom said. “Let me...
History has demonstrated it only takes a few wayward sparks to burn down an entire city – something that happened in the Great Chicago Fire of 1871 when Catherine O’Leary’s cow was said to have kicked over a lantern in a barn on DeKoven Street. I’ve been thinking about that story as violent protests and lawless destruction continue to rage across America. Conventional wisdom suggests that anger is at the heart of the mayhem – anger sparked from racial injustice – but such an assessment would only be partly correct. DEROY MURDOCK: SUPPORT FOR BUBBA WALLACE SHOWS WIDESPREAD OPPOSITION TO RACISM – DESPITE LEFT'S CLAIMS Anger is not the problem – it’s the misapplication of it. Lyman Abbott was a 19th-century theologian who encouraged parents to teach their children how to channel anger – not get rid of it. “The child should be taught to restrain his anger; but he cannot restrain it if he has not got it.
