    A Minnesota dad battered his two month-old baby daughter to death - then tried to claim she'd been fatally injured by his cat laying on top of her, police say. Kristopher Dale Arlando Henderson, 39, was charged with the first-degree murder of his unidentified daughter at Blue Earth County District Court on Friday. She was fatally-injured at his home in Mankato on September 23, and died at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester on November 3 after lengthy attempts to try and save the infant proved unsuccessful.  The girl's mom, who has not been identified, told cops her daughter was fine when she left her home for work on the day the fatal injuries - broken legs, broken ribs and a brain bleed - were inflicted. Authorities are looking for a second teenager, 18-year-old Hasein Strand, who is also charged with murder in Bility’s death. In addition, both teens each face five counts of attempted murder and five counts of assault and endangerment, and other gun-related charges. (WLS) -- Zion police are searching for a 16-year-old charged in the stray bullet death of Melanie Yates.Lake County, Ill., officials said Zechariah Miles of Zion has been charged as an adult with first degree murder for the death of the young mother. A Lake County judge has set Myles' bond as $3 million.Police said they were called to a home in the 2800-block of Enoch Avenue around 9 p.m. Saturday, October 16, where they found Yates inside her home, struck in the head by a bullet.                         Hardin County Deputy Matthew Locke was shot and killed last weekend in the line of duty while responding to a domestic violence call. The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation said Todd Alan Stricklin, 48 from Clifton, has been charged with first-degree murder after shooting the deputy just after 8:30 p.m. last Saturday. Now, according to FOX 17 Nashville, District Attorney Matt Stowe is trying to get justice for the fallen deputy.     Amber McDaniel, 31, turned herself in to police on July 8 on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and tampering with evidence The mother of a two-year-old boy has been charged in connection with his death after she allowed her son to stay with her boyfriend, despite him telling her he wanted to 'cull' the boy, and had beaten the child in the past. Little Jason Wilder McDaniel, 2, was found dead on October 11 of 2018 laying on the floor beside his crib at the Texas home of boyfriend James Staley III with blood smeared around his mouth, on the floor and on an adult-sized pillow inside the crib.     A Baltimore cop has been charged with murder and child abuse one week after officers found his step-son's body in an upstairs access panel. Eric Banks Jr., 34, has been in custody since July 6, after authorities said he tried to disarm a police officer following the discovery of Dasan Jones, 15, in a wall in his Curtis Bay loft.     A Delaware County mother and her boyfriend were arrested on homicide charges after the woman's one-year-old child was found dead in her Chester City home, authorities said. Kandie A. Meinhart and Maurice E. Davis were apprehended on June 29 in connection with the Jan. 20 death of her one-year-old child, according to the City of Chester Police Department. Officers responding to 939 Pine Lane on a report of a child in cardiac arrest around 11 a.m. found the child and performed CPR until paramedics arrived on the scene, police said.     A Las Vegas babysitter has been accused of kicking and beating a five-year-old boy to death because she was angry that the child had urinated in his pants - and then getting a McDonald's meal with her boyfriend.  Ryan Peralto died in the hospital on March 12, a day after suffering a slew of injuries, including a skull fracture, brain hemorrhage, and damage to his liver, spleen, pancreas and intestines, while in the care of his 22-year-old babysitter, Laurren Courtney.  The woman was initially arrested on counts of child abuse or neglect with substantial bodily harm, but after the Clark County coroner’s office ruled Ryan's death a homicide, prosecutors this week charged Courtney with first-degree murder.     Miami : US authorities announced criminal charges against a Texas man Thursday for the deaths of eight undocumented immigrants in his truck who were killed when the vehicle crashed while trying to flee from police. Sebastian Tovar, 24, of Austin, Texas, was charged with conspiracy to transport undocumented immigrants resulting in death, the Justice Department said. The accident occurred amid a new wave of migrants trying to enter the country from Mexico and Central America. Authorities said Tovar refused to stop when state police officers tried to stop him for speeding near the border city of Del Rio on Monday. Officers chased the truck for about 80 kilometers. In its flight, the vehicle reached speeds of 100 miles per hour, the US Customs and Immigration Office said in a statement. Eventually, it crashed head-on into another truck, killing eight of its passengers and wounding two people in the other vehicle.     (CNN)Five Oklahoma City police officers were charged with first-degree manslaughter in relation to the shooting death of a 15-year-old in November, according to court records filed Wednesday in Oklahoma County. In an email sent to CNN, Dan Stewart of the Oklahoma City Police Department said that the department was informed on Tuesday that the officers would be charged. Officers Bethany Sears, Jared Barton, Corey Adams, John Skuta and Brad Pemberton are all currently on paid administrative leave, Stewart told CNN. According to the Oklahoma City Police Department incident report, officers were responding to an armed robbery call at a gas station on November 23. The report says that the store clerk fled the store during the robbery and locked the suspect inside. Once officers arrived, they surrounded the gas station and ordered the suspect, Stavian Rodriguez, to come out. He climbed out of the drive-thru window, the report says.     Authorities have lambasted pet owners in Texas for leaving their animals out to fend for themselves in the freezing temperatures, even charging one man with animal cruelty for the horrific misdeed. Six dogs were left outside of unnamed auto body shop in Southwest Houston on Monday, including one that was found dead and partially covered in snow, the Houston  Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) shared in a press release.     A subway stabber who has been charged with killing two homeless people during a violent 14-hour spree is being held without bail as the grieving father of one victim speaks out about the loss of his daughter.  Rigoberto Lopez, 21, was taken into custody Saturday night at W. 186th St and Audubon Avenue in Washington Heights.     A 12-year-old Philadelphia boy has been arrested in the shooting death of his nne-year-old sister for allegedly providing a loaded gun to their five-year-old cousin, who then fired it at the girl. The boy, who has not been named, on Wednesday was arrested and charged as a juvenile with involuntary manslaughter and recklessly endangering another person for his suspected role in the death of his sister, Nyssa Davis.     An Arkansas man caught on video beating a Washington, D.C., cop with an American flagpole during the Capitol riots was charged on Thursday. Peter Francis Stager has been charged with obstructing a law enforcement officer for allegedly beating a Metropolitan Police officer who was guarding an entrance of the U.S. Capitol. Prosecutors allege in a criminal complaint that members of the MAGA mob who stormed the building last Wednesday grabbed the officer, dragged him down a flight of stairs, and forced him into a “prone position,” before “forcibly and repeatedly” hitting him in the head and body with “various objects.” Video footage of the violent attack shows Stager with a large group on the stairs of the Capitol building and holding a flagpole.     The Justice Department has authorized for federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty against a 24-year-old MS-13 gang leader charged in connection to a series of murders - including the brutal baseball bat beatdown of two teen girls.
