    A 12-year-old boy was shot multiple times in Chicago while picking up school supplies with his father, relatives and police said. Lamar Davis sat in a parked car with his dad Wednesday in the city’s Lawndale section, when someone in a maroon SUV rolled down a rear window and opened fire with a .45-caliber handgun, hitting the youngster in the back, hip, leg and buttocks, the Chicago Tribune reported. The boy was rushed to Stroger Hospital in fair condition; his father was not wounded, the Tribune reported. “He was just sitting there in the car and someone shot him,” Lamar’s mother, Melissa Robinson told the newspaper. “Kids can’t go outside, they can’t do anything,” added the worried mom, who learned of the shooting from the family friend who had the school supplies for her son. (CBS4) – Ryan McPhearson, the lead singer in the Colorado band Nightwolf, was critically hurt when a fatal fight broke out over the weekend between two motorcycle gangs at an Arvada restaurant. The violence broke out Saturday night outside Jake’s Roadhouse on Lamar Street. Soon afterwards dozens of shots flew across a stretch of four blocks of Lamar. William Henderson (credit: Denver DA) William Henderson, 43, died in the shooting and McPhearson was critically hurt.
