A North Korean man who defected to the South by reportedly leaping over the border fence has claimed to be a former gymnast. On November 3, the man in his 20s entered the Demilitarised Zone (DMZ) between North and South Korea shortly after 7pm local time. He was captured by South Korean border guards 14 hours later and his motivations for crossing have been under investigation ever since.  The military is making efforts to ascertain how the man could have crossed the three-metre fence without triggering an alarm.  Citing a 'Seoul official familiar with the matter', the Korea Herald reported that the man told authorities he had been able to jump the fence because of gymnastics training. Officials then reportedly made the man - who was small in stature and light in weight - jump twice to prove his claim.  South Korean soldiers patrol along barbed wired fences in the DMZ in April. This month, a North Korean man has been arrested for crossing one such fence without triggering an alarm. The man claims to be a former gymnast and...

Byron Sterling, a 30-year-old medical transportation driver, exclusively told DailyMail.com he's the daredevil seen last week jumping from one platform to another at the Broadway Junction subway stop in Brooklyn.   It's a stunt other foolish mortals have failed at miserably, slamming into the opposite wall or falling short into the tracks. 'I landed it perfectly,' Sterling boasted to DailyMail.com. 'When I jump, I just feel this adrenaline rush. It just gives me such a happy feeling. (CNN)The leaking ship that is the Trump presidency has a hole in its hull the size of the 38% job-approval rating reported by CNN. Add a gash as big as the 16.4% (including misclassified workers) unemployment rate and it's easy to see why some prominent Republicans are stepping away from a leader who has suddenly been transformed from a fearsome Twitter monster into the man mocked as "Bunker Boy." Former President George W. Bush and Sens. Mitt Romney, Republican stalwarts, won't support his re-election. Other GOPers, like former House Speakers Paul Ryan and John Boehner, have not indicated where they stand while Sen. Lisa Murkowski is "struggling" with the decision. With a schism forming, the time is ripe for a high-level official to make the dramatic break that would signal that someone is ready to stand as the leader of the post-Trump Republican Party. I would nominate for this job, Vice President Mike Pence. Unprecedented? Pretty much. But the Trump era is unprecedented too, and Pence signaled, when he agreed that he would be Trump's running mate, that he's willing...
