illegal immigration:

The Trump administration is preparing a series of immigration enforcement operations targeting illegal immigrants in at least three sanctuary jurisdictions, a source familiar with the operations told Fox News  Tuesday. The Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations will be in California, Denver and Philadelphia, and could potentially include other cities and jurisdictions across the country. ICE OPERATIONS NAB MORE THAN 2,000 ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS, MANY WITH CRIMINAL CHARGES, CONVICTIONS  The Washington Post first reported about the operations, which could take place as soon as this week in California. Acting Homeland Security Secretary Chad Wolf may travel to at least one of the areas, it said. “We do not comment on any law enforcement sensitive issues that may adversely impact our officers and the public,” an ICE spokesperson said in a statement. “However, every day as part of routine operations, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) targets and arrests criminal aliens and other individuals who...
Hispanic Americans, more than white and black Americans, are the most convinced by campaign rhetoric that denounces illegal immigration to the United States and the “defund the police” movement, a new survey finds. New York Times columnist Thomas Edsall noted five issues facing Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden’s campaign — one of which is President Trump’s support among Hispanic Americans. Fifteen focus groups of Hispanic Americans and polls of white and black Americans, conducted by Ian Haney López and Tory Gavito, reveal that Hispanic Americans are the most convinced by campaign rhetoric that opposes illegal immigration and defunding local police departments. Black Americans, at the same rate as white Americans, were convinced by the rhetoric, Edsall writes: Another data point they found “even more sobering”: López and Gavito asked eligible voters how “convincing” they found a dog-whistle message lifted from Republican talking points. Among other elements, the message condemned “illegal immigration...
by Kaylee Greenlee  The Biden-Harris immigration plan could allow up to 52 million new immigrants to settle in the U.S., according to a Federation for American Immigration Reform analysis provided to the Daily Caller News Foundation. “This dramatic increase would eclipse the entire current foreign-born population of the country,” the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a nonprofit that advocates for reduced immigration, stated. The campaign’s proposals, which include eliminating detention for many illegal border crossers, halting border wall construction, and scaling back deportation, would also increase the taxpayer-funded costs of services and benefits for illegal immigrants to more than $200 billion annually — a 50% increase, according to FAIR’s analysis. “Campaigns are an opportunity for candidates to present to the voters their vision on important policy matters,” FAIR President Dan Stein said said in a statement. “To their credit, the Biden-Harris campaign has done just that...
One of two suspects accused of ambushing Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) detectives is an illegal alien, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency confirmed. Last week, Arizona DPS detectives were targeted in an ambush shooting by two individuals. The passenger of the vehicle, 17-year-old Luis German Espinoza Acuna, allegedly opened fire on the detectives using a rifle. The driver of the vehicle is still wanted, while Acuna was arrested. The Center for Immigration Studies has confirmed with ICE that Acuna is, in fact, an illegal alien from Mexico. Wealthy Americans have quietly fired and discarded many of their illegal migrant house cleaners since the coronavirus economic crash, often without warning or compensation, says the New York Times: The pandemic has had devastating consequences for a wide variety of occupations, but housekeepers have been among the hardest hit. Seventy-two percent of them reported that they had lost all of their clients by the first week of April, according to a survey by the National Domestic Workers Alliance. The fortunate had employers who continued to pay them. The unlucky called or texted their employers and heard nothing back. They weren’t laid off so much as ghosted, en masse. The article, and the quoted pro-migration activists, only hinted at the hypocrisy of elites who applaud migration and diversity but discard their illegal migrant employees without warning or compensation. But the article also sidelined the damage done to Americans’ labor market by...
The following is an exclusive excerpt from a new book by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Firebrand: Dispatches from the Front Lines of the MAGA Revolution, available Tuesday, September 22. *** America is not just a constitution, idea, or set of values. America is our home. And we must do everything to protect our home. During a trip to the U.S.-Mexico border in Yuma, Arizona, I met patriotic Americans working in the U.S. Border Patrol. If she had her way, my colleague AOC would fire them all and denigrate the role they play in safeguarding our home from uninvited intruders. Almost all were of Hispanic heritage. They spoke with disgust of cartel leaders who would sneak their baby mamas (or is it baby mamacitas?) across the border late in pregnancy so that their children—proven to be the next generation of cartel talent— would have the trappings and legal benefits of American citizenship....

Just because they're overshadowed by an unprecedented news cycle doesn't mean the border and criminal alien problems in this country have disappeared. We still have huge numbers of criminal aliens who remain in this country undeterred and who continue to be incentivized to cross the border with the confidence that they can remain here undetected. Until we begin enforcing some of the original immigration laws on the books, we will continue importing more gangs, drug traffickers, and child molesters at a time when we are struggling with domestic violence and insurrection among the citizen population. Three illegal alien brothers from Honduras are accused of raping a 10-year-old girl in Kenner, Louisiana. According to police, Raul Paz-Perez and Wilmer Paz-Perez, both 35, and 31-year-old Elder Paz-Perez all live together in the same apartment as Elder's girlfriend and four of her children. The alleged victim is one of her children....
Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden is again vowing that he will not deport any illegal aliens in his first 100 days in office until they commit a felony against an American citizen. During an interview with Noticias Telemundo, Biden reiterated his plan to end deportations for at least 100 days, saying that only illegal aliens who commit felonies will be deported. After the deportation freeze, Biden has said he will prioritize convicted illegal alien felonies, indicating that illegal aliens would have to commit felonies and be convicted before they are ever deported from the United States. “There are going to be no deportations in the first 100 days of my [administration] … freeze deportations for the first 100 days and the only people who will be deported are people who committed a felony while here,” Biden said. “I can only imagine what it’s like to see a family member deported …...
Fairfax County, Virginia refused more than 900 requests from federal immigration authorities to detain criminal illegal aliens in the area over a two-year period, according to an investigation by a conservative immigration group. The county sheriff’s office received a total of 929 detainer requests from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), but only 14 (2%) requests were fulfilled in the form of warrants, according to the Immigration Reform Law Institute. Ninety-eight percent of the detainer requests (915) were denied by Fairfax officials from May 2018 to May 2020, the advocacy group found. “There is nothing unacceptable about any detainer that seeks to remove criminals from our neighborhoods,” senior fellow at Immigration Reform Law Institute and former acting director of ICE Tom Homan said in a statement. “There is nothing unacceptable about law enforcement working hand in hand with other law enforcement to protect our communities and keep our streets safer. “What is unacceptable is when...
It was gospel among the GOP consultant class for many years: Either conservatives pander to Hispanics by supporting more immigration and amnesty for illegal aliens, or their share of the Hispanic vote would continue to shrink. Then along came Trump, the man who made his political career and presidency from statements and promises that violated every piece of advice in the GOP pandering and sensitivity training handbook. Not only did he win in 2016, but as the 2020 election kicks off in earnest, Hispanics appear to be one of his most auspicious electoral groups. Following the GOP loss in 2012, the RNC wrote a 100-page "autopsy" report attempting to reconstruct the cause of the party's loss in that year's election cycle. Among the many pearls of wisdom was an immortal warning that "we must embrace and champion comprehensive immigration reform," which is swamp-speak for amnesty, otherwise "our Party's...
The growing number of legal and illegal Indian migrants in the United States is encouraging more illegal migration from India’s vast population of 200 million underpaid and underemployed youths, according to an Indian newspaper. The article, published by the India Times’ business journal: cited the power of cell phone videos as a lure and goad for many young men who are understandably eager to escape India’s poor economy: Manpreet Brar, 22, had lost hope of a good future in India after failing to clear any government job exams even after numerous attempts. “I tried landing a job in the police and army but couldn’t secure a spot. My friends who had gone to America were making way more money than I would’ve made here doing anything, so going there seemed like my only option,” he told ET [Economic Times] Online. The vast majority of Indian migrants go to oil-rich Arab...
A SMUGGLER who tried to bring nine people from Albania into the UK hidden in a campervan has been jailed for more than four years. Meaghan Ellis August 26, 2020 0 Comments Miles Taylor, the former Chief of Staff for the Department of Homeland Security, spoke out against President Donald Trump as he recalled the moment where he decided that he needed to distance himself from the Trump administration. During an interview on “Meet the Press,” Taylor revealed Trump offered pardons to DHS officials who would ultimately be breaking laws by enforcing his illegal immigration demands. Taylor recalled the president’s visit to the United States-Mexico border in April 2019. According to the former official, Trump said, “That’s it. I don’t want you to let anyone else into the country. … The bins are full.” “It was conveyed to the president that it actually would be illegal for us to deny asylees entry into the border,” Taylor said. “In other words, under U.S. law, someone who comes and claims asylum at our border, has to...
Former Vice President Joe Biden promises more to illegal immigrants than to American citizens, said Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron during his address for the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Tuesday. Cameron said, “President Trump did build an economy that worked for everyone especially minorities and he will do it again in on immigration. Joe Biden promises more to illegal immigrants than he does to you. But President Trump believes his highest duty is to the American worker. The choice is clear.” Cameron added, “Let me close with something my mom told me. This country’s many faces comprise a family, not separate parts to be divided against each other, and like any family, we care for one another. We grieve together. We share our burdens and our struggles and we celebrate our successes, and though we fuss and fight, we are not enemies.” “We are Americans, united by a collective...
Mary Ann Mendoza, an Arizona woman who has been given the title “Angel Mom,” is scheduled to speak Tuesday night at the Republican National Convention. Mrs. Mendoza rose to prominence when her son was killed in a drunk driving incident that also claimed the life of the other driver, an undocumented immigrant. Since then, she’s become an advocate for tighter immigration policies. In the early morning hours of May 12, 2014, Mesa, Arizona Police Department Sgt. Brandon Mendoza had just finished his shift and was driving home in his own car. As The Phoenix New Times reported, his car was struck by a car driven by Raul Silva Corona, a man who was allegedly in the country illegally and reportedly had a lengthy criminal record dating back to 1994. Corona’s blood alcohol content was 0.24 percent — three times the legal limit — and he had reportedly driven 30 miles...
A recent poll indicates more Americans support reducing legal immigration and a majority back policies like mandatory E-Verify that prioritize American workers. A poll released Tuesday by Rasmussen Reports found that 47% of likely voters thought the government should reduce the number of legal immigrants coming into the country annually. Approximately 1 million foreign nationals obtained lawful permanent residency in 2019, according to data from the Department of Homeland Security. 33% of respondents said the government should accept fewer than 500,000 immigrants each year and an additional 14% said the government should be accepting no more than 750,000 immigrants. 20% of respondents favored the current level of approximately 1 million immigrants accepted each year. 17% said the number should be greater than 1 million. “If Democrats really wanted to help minorities and underserved communities … they’d limit immigration to protect American workers,” Donald Trump Jr. said in his speech on the first night of the convention. The statement is one straight out of Economics 101 and a reminder of the deep divide in the GOP between the populist voters and the core GOP establishment of business moguls and donors. The establishment favors the large-scale inflow of immigrant workers, consumers, and renters, while the voters want immigration minimized until the economy recovers. Elsewhere in the speech, Trump declared [Joe] Biden also wants to bring in more illegal immigrants to take jobs from American citizens. His open border policies would drive wages down for Americans at a time when low-income workers were getting real wage increases for the first time in modern history. Since 2016, Trump’s administration has seen a back-and-forth struggle between populist voters and...
CLAIM: During the Republican National Convention (RNC) on Monday evening, Donald Trump Jr. said Democrat presidential candidate Joe Biden “wants to bring in more illegal immigrants to take jobs from American citizens.” VERDICT: True. Biden’s immigration plan would flood the United States labor market with newly legalized illegal aliens to compete against Americans. “Biden also wants to bring in more illegal immigrants to take jobs from American citizens,” Trump Jr. said. “His open border policies would drive wages down for Americans at a time when low-income workers were getting real wage increases for the first time in modern history.” Indeed, Biden is offering an immigration agenda that gives amnesty to all 11 to 22 million illegal aliens who currently live in the U.S. Such a plan would flood the labor market with newly legalized illegal aliens who would immediately start competing for jobs against working- and middle-class Americans. Biden’s plan...
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department has refused to honor more than 25,000 requests from federal immigration officials to turn over undocumented immigrants being housed in its jails, according to data obtained by Fox News. The figure represents the requests lodged by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for the 2020 fiscal year, ICE spokesperson Alexx Pons told Fox News. Sheriff Alex Villanueva said last week the department would halt the transfer of undocumented men and women to the immigration agency, citing conditions at various ICE detention facilities and that the fear of deportation could hinder criminal investigations. "There is no greater threat to public safety than a million undocumented immigrants who are afraid to report crime, out of fear of deportation and having their families torn apart," Villanueva said in his Aug. 18 announcement. "As the Sheriff of Los Angeles County, I am responsible for everyone’s public safety, regardless of immigration status. I will not...
by John Fonte  The Democrats’ 2020 choice for vice-president of the United States is Kamala Harris, a U.S. senator from California who has compared our courageous, underpaid, overworked, and often Latino, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to the Ku Klux Klan. How did we get here exactly? Let us look back and examine how immigration enforcement has been undermined for decades and then discuss what it means for the 2020 presidential election. The Sunlight Foundation reports that between 2007 and 2012, 678 lobbying groups – including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, American Nursery and Landscape Association, the dairy industry, agribusiness, high-tech companies, major universities, the ACLU, the Service Employees International Union, the National Council of La Raza (now UnidosUS), and many other lobbyists – spent $1.5 billion to influence immigration policy. Likewise, from 2001 to 2020, leading philanthropic foundations – including Carnegie, Ford, Tides, Atlantic...
The Angel family of 23-year-old Matthew Denice is mourning his death on Thursday, marking nine years since he was killed by an illegal alien from Ecuador. On August 20, 2011, illegal alien Nicolas Dutan Guaman of Ecuador was driving without a license when he ran a stop sign and struck Denice, who was riding his motorcycle in Milford, Massachusetts. Rather than stopping, Guaman dragged Denice for a quarter of a mile. Eyewitnesses tried to get Guaman to stop his vehicle. At the time, Denice was wedged in the wheel well and ultimately dragged to his death. Guaman’s six-year-old son was in the car with him at the time of the killing. Guaman had been working illegally. In May 2014, Guaman was convicted of motor vehicle homicide, manslaughter by motor vehicle, reckless endangerment of a child, failing to stop for police, driving without a license, and leaving the scene of an accident...
YUMA, Ariz. (AP) — Border Patrol agents in southern Arizona have arrested a U.S. citizen after allegedly attempting to smuggle 10 Mexican immigrants. U.S. Customs and Border Protection authorities conducted immigration checks on a group of people waiting for an Amtrak train in downtown Yuma on Wednesday around 2 a.m., The Yuma Sun reported. Agents apprehended eight Mexican citizens, who were illegally present in the country and a 19-year-old U.S. citizen who drove the group to the station. Authorities located and apprehended two more Mexican citizens who were found trying to conceal themselves in the woman's truck. The vehicle was seized and all 10 immigrants were removed from the country for immigration violations, authorities said. Trains, buses, airplanes and highway traffic are all methods used in illegal immigration efforts. The Immigration and Naturalization Act grants authority to immigration officers to board and search railways they believe are being used for...
The Democratic National Convention was criticized for featuring a video that included misinformation about President Trump's stances on illegal immigration. The convention featured a video of an 11-year-old girl, Estela Juarez, whose mother was deported by the Trump administration. The clip featured Juarez's remarks about the pain her family felt after her mother was deported alongside clips of Trump discussing his policies. "Every day that passes, you deport more moms and dads and take them away from kids like me," Juarez said. "You separated thousands of children from their parents and you put them in cages." Members of Trump's campaign noted that the Obama administration was in power when photographs were taken of children in cages inside a detention facility. President Trump on Tuesday declared victory in his fight to build a wall on the southern border, as he visited newly-built structure in Yuma, Ariz. and ripped into what he described as a "deadly" immigration plan from his Democratic rival Joe Biden. "You don't hear about the wall anymore because we won,” Trump said in remarks at the wall. BORDER WALL CONSTRUCTION HAS SPED UP AMID CORONAVIRUS CRISIS, CBP CHIEF SAYS  There are now approximately 280 miles of wall built since 2017, and officials told Trump at the site that they expect to have completed 300 miles as early as the end of next week. The wall was a highly controversial, but central, proposal of Trump’s 2016 campaign, and has faced a number of significant hurdles in Congress and the courts -- the administration has gotten around funding issues by reappropriating Pentagon funding. Critics have countered that most of the wall...
An illegal alien wanted for allegedly murdering his wife was found living in the Richmond, Virginia, area by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents. Demetrio Ignacio-Flores, a 38-year-old illegal alien from Mexico, has been wanted in his native Oaxaca, Mexico, for allegedly murdering his wife in 2010. A decade later, ICE agents found Ignacio-Flores living in the Richmond area under a false identity. Ignacio-Flores was first encountered by U.S. Border Patrol in April 2011 near Laredo, Texas, and was voluntarily returned to Mexico. Some time thereafter, ICE officials say Ignacio-Flores returned illegally to the U.S. by crossing the border. Despite being wanted by Mexican officials on murder charges, Ignacio-Flores was able to live in Richmond under a false identity for at least six years. In 2014, Ignacio-Flores was convicted of drunk driving and twice driving without a license but was never turned over to ICE agents. “This is the perfect...
Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) has agreed to provide $40 million in COVID-19 relief for illegal immigrants. The fund will be available to illegal immigrants who can't access federal coronavirus relief programs, such as the CARES Act, because of their immigration status. Individual illegal immigrants who submit an application can receive up to $1,000 if approved, and families are eligible to receive up to $3,000. The Washington State Department of Social and Health Services will select a nonprofit to administer the Immigrant Relief Fund. "We have to ensure that no one in our state is left behind as we fight this pandemic," Gov. Jay Inslee said in a statement. "COVID-19 doesn't care what your immigration status is. We must support every family affected by the virus, especially those who lack the necessary means to quarantine or isolate and prevent further spread. This is the right thing for the well-being...
Prime Minister Boris Johnson has “lost control” of the growing illegal migration crisis, despite promises from Johnson to send back boat migrants, a report from Migration Watch UK claimed. The report from the mass-migration sceptic think tank said that one year after the prime minister warned illegal migrants that the government “will send you back”, increasing waves of illegal migration have beset the United Kingdom. According to the latest BBC estimate, approximately 4,200 illegal migrants have arrived in the UK since the start of the year by crossing the English Channel in small rubber boats from France. Since the beginning of last year, only 155 boat migrants have successfully been deported. Upon arriving in the UK, most illegal migrants put in claims for asylum status to remain in the country, the report found. The main issue Migration Watch UK highlighted in the report seen by Breitbart London is the so-called...
A new ad by President Trump’s re-election campaign goes after Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden for wanting to flood the United States labor market with millions of illegal aliens. The ad notes Biden’s support for providing amnesty to the roughly 11 to 22 million illegal aliens currently residing in the U.S. — a plan that Democrats have said is first on their list if they sweep the November elections — while acknowledging that immigration is a labor issue, a populist principle that Biden has long denied. “Citizenship … for 11 million undocumented folks,” Biden says in the ad. “That means 11 million illegal immigrants competing for American jobs, eligible for free healthcare, Social Security, and Medicare,” a narrator states. “America can’t afford Joe Biden.” Indeed, Biden’s immigration plan includes an amnesty for illegal aliens currently living in the U.S., freeing all future border crossers into the country while they await...
Mark Morgan, Acting Commissioner of Customs and Border Protection (CBP), told reporters on Thursday that construction of the border wall between the United States and Mexico continues on a daily basis, with hundreds of miles projected to be completed by year’s end. “The United States Army Corps of Engineers and CBP are actually moving faster than ever,” Morgan said. “The last few months … we’re putting more wall system in place every single day than we have before.” He went on to say: We’re now up to 265 miles — I’ve probably got to check right now, we probably added a mile or two since I put this down in my talking points. And we remain confident by the end of this year, we’ve been saying for a very long time, even though we’ve had a lot of naysayers out there, by end of this year, we’re going to have...
The number of people arrested at the southern border for illegally entering the United States from Mexico has soared since April despite the Trump administration‘s attempt to curtail illegal migration amid the coronavirus pandemic. In July, Border Patrol agents working in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California arrested 38,347 people for unlawfully crossing the border, according to Customs and Border Protection data released Thursday afternoon. Arrests have increased 237% since April, the first full month that agents began immediately expelling people into Mexico after taking them into custody. In April, fewer than 16,200 people were taken into custody at the border compared to more than double that number last month. A March recommendation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention urged border officials not to detain immigrants. CBP responded to the March recommendation with plans to "expel" anyone who was encountered illegally entering the country, including those who claim...
Contingency plans for handling a surge of migrants at the U.S.-Mexico border have yet to be seen despite President Trump’s warning last month that his administration was “focusing aggressively on the Texas border” due to what he described as “undercounted” hundreds of thousands of coronavirus outbreaks in Mexico and Latin America. While top Department of Homeland Security officials have warned in recent months that the United States could see another border crisis if hundreds of thousands or millions of people flee poverty stricken and virus-ridden home countries for the U.S., government officials will not share how they are preparing and how they plan to avoid another 2019 crisis when media documented abhorrent conditions at immigration detention facilities nationwide. “It could be a public health disaster at the border, not just a public health crisis,” said Andrew Arthur, a research fellow for the immigration restrictionist think tank the Center...
EXCLUSIVE: Two Republican senators on Wednesday introduced a bill that would allow immigration judges to hold illegal immigrants in contempt of court and issue arrest warrants if they miss their court proceedings -- a move the lawmakers say will also deal with the massive backlog of cases. The Immigration Court Efficiency (ICE) Act, introduced by Sens. Kelly Leoffler, R-Ga., and Tom Cotton, R-Ark,, would also allow judges to declare those who miss their proceedings inadmissible. ICE REMOVES HONDURAN MAN WANTED IN HOME COUNTRY FOR MURDER The lawmakers say that courts are currently flooded with more than a million cases before them, and this bill would make them better equipped to move through the backlog. “For years, Congressional Democrats have ignored the glaring problems with our immigration system and failed to come to the table on a tangible solution,” Loeffler said in a statement. “This has inflamed illegal immigration and left immigration courts...
President Trump’s one-year extension of former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program is about buying time ahead of the 2020 election, immigration reformers tell Breitbart News. On Tuesday, Trump’s administration announced a one-year extension of DACA to undertake a “comprehensive review of the program.” The move means that nearly 800,000 DACA recipients will be able to apply for a one-year renewal of work permits. NumbersUSA’s Rosemary Jenks said the group is “disappointed” with Trump’s one-year DACA extension and called the U.S. Supreme Court’s recent decision, where Trump was told he would have to refile paperwork to end the program, “outrageous.” Jenks said: We understand that the courts are requiring the administration to jump through ridiculous hurdles to end a program created in a memo, but we are disappointed that the administration is granting a one-year extension to DACA beneficiaries. It remains outrageous that a court would actually...
The nation’s huge population of illegal migrants is “enriching our country,” Democratic candidate Joe Biden said in a July 28 statement. “As President, I will protect Dreamers and their families and offer a roadmap to citizenship for Dreamers and all 11 million undocumented immigrants enriching our country,” Biden said, using the “dreamer’ term to describe roughly 800,000 young illegals who were brought into the United States by their illegal immigrant parents. The population of illegal immigrants is likely larger than 11 million, and they do enrich investors and employers as they expand the economy by buying consumer goods, lowering wages and salaries, and driving up housing costs. However, the new arrivals also impoverish wage-earning Americans by cutting wages, by raising home prices, and by allowing employers to hire replacements for the Americans whom they do not want to hire. The fact that the labor supply effects wages is Economics 101....
The Union Pacific Police Department — patrolling 32,000 miles of railroad track in 23 states — is no longer cooperating with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency following pressure from the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU). On Monday, the ACLU announced that the nearly 200 special agents who patrol for Union Pacific Railroad have stopped all cooperation with ICE, shielding illegal aliens from arrest and detainment, since March. The move means that Union Pacific officers will not be allowed to detain a person on the suspicion that they are illegally in the U.S. Likewise, the officers are banned from asking about a person’s immigration status, asking for immigration records, and turning illegal aliens over to ICE agents. Union Pacific’s helping to shield illegal aliens from detection in the U.S. comes after the ACLU, Palestinian Youth Movement, Black Butte Center for Railroad Culture, Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles,...
A survey, conducted by a left-leaning pro-migration group, finds that the most impressionable swing state voters hugely support deportations of criminal illegal aliens. Immigration Hub, run by a group of former Democrat congressional staffers, released a survey to Axios showing that moderate swing state voters who are the most impressionable in terms of supporting a mass migration agenda still overwhelmingly back deportations. The survey polled more than 9,000 voters in Colorado, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin — 41 percent of whom consider themselves “moderates,” while 40 percent “lean Democrat,” and 19 percent “lean Republican.” From those surveyed, researchers say they have identified “nearly 6 million voters across these four states who are most likely to be persuaded by the Immigration Hub’s immigration content and moved towards Democrats.” The results, though, show huge support for deportations of criminal illegal aliens. About 75 percent of the voters surveyed said they support deportations for criminal...
ROME — The Vatican wants Spain to undertake a “mass regularisation” of its illegal immigrants, according to the Holy See’s undersecretary for migrants and refugees. “In Spain, mass regularisation can be a solution that benefits everyone,” said Father Fabio Baggio during an online forum last week with representatives from Spanish Catholic dioceses in charge of immigrants. Representatives of the far-left Spanish political alliance Unidas Podemos (“United We Can”), comprising Podemos, United Left, and other left-wing parties, immediately embraced the Vatican solution, noting that it coincides exactly what the Spanish Left has been calling for. Podemos, whose general secretary Pablo Iglesias was listed by George Soros’ Open Societies NGO as a “reliable ally,” has already launched its own proposal for universal amnesty and citizenship “for all those migrants who have lived through the epidemic with us.” The party calls for “regulatory provisions that allow ending the irregularity of all people, whatever...
President Trump’s border controls have kept at least 88,100 illegal aliens from entering the United States through the U.S.-Mexico border since late March, newly released figures reveal. On March 21, Trump implemented the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Title 42 order, which gives federal immigration officials broad authority to immediately return illegal aliens over public health concerns. Newly released figures provided by the Trump administration show that from March 21 to June 15, at least 88,100 illegal aliens were prevented from entering the U.S. at the southern border. A senior administration official told Fox News: If not for this effort, tens of thousands of aliens acting as potential carriers for the coronavirus would have continued to enter law enforcement facilities near the border in congregate settings, making our Southwest border a major vein for coronavirus outbreak. Gavin Newsom (D) on Tuesday decried President Donald Trump’s executive order which will exclude Illegal aliens from being counted for purposes of congressional apportioning. “Counting every person in our country through the Census is a principle so foundational that it is written into our Constitution,” Newsom said in a statement. “This latest action by the administration to exclude undocumented immigrants when determining representation in Congress, rooted in racism and xenophobia, is a blatant attack on our institutions and our neighbors.” Earlier Tuesday, President Trump signed the order, saying the memorandum is designed to bar “illegal aliens from the apportionment base following the 2020 Census.” The memorandum has sparked legal challenges as it follows the Department of Commerce losing a Supreme Court case last year where it attempted to include a question about citizenship status on the 2020 census. Still, the memorandum said that the constitution does not require undocumented immigrants to be counted for the...
Nearly 10,000 criminal illegal aliens turned over to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency have been arrested and deported from a single county in Virginia since 2007, new data reveals. Last month, Prince William County, Virginia, officials voted to end their longterm cooperation with ICE — effectively making it increasingly difficult for federal immigration agents to arrest and deport criminally accused illegal aliens from the region. “When county residents are victimized by these aliens, the Jail Board will have a lot to answer for,” Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) Executive Director Dale Wilcox said of the decision. Data obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute (IRLI) shows the extent to which illegal immigration has gripped Prince William County. For instance, since 2007, about 9,537 illegal aliens have been handed over to ICE agents after being arrested for crimes. This indicates that more than two percent of Prince William County’s...
There’s no doubt that former Vice President Joe Biden’s election as president would spark a dangerous and massive new wave of illegal immigration and drug smuggling into the U.S. This would be particularly harmful as our country struggles with high unemployment, tough economic times and crowded hospitals due to the coronavirus pandemic. At the same time, many communities are now experiencing sharp increases in crime, as liberal Democrats demonize and defund the police.; In a move to win the support of advocates of open borders on the Democratic Party’s far-left wing for his presidential campaign, Biden has made it clear that he would throw a giant welcome mat across our southern border for illegal immigrants. TOM HOMAN: BIDEN IMMIGRATION FLIP-FLOPS – LET'S SEPARATE FACTS FROM HIS CAMPAIGN'S FICTIONS The former vice president and Democratic partisans want to see millions more illegal immigrants enter the U.S. and — along with millions...
While President Trump’s border controls have massively reduced illegal immigration’s strain on American hospitals, there has been a surge in recent months as many southern border communities experience an uptick in Chinese coronavirus cases. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) data obtained by Breitbart News reveals a more than 91 percent drop in the number of border crossers taken to American hospitals by federal immigration officials compared to daily averages from last year. The massive drop of illegal immigration’s strain on American hospitals is a direct result of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Title 42 order that allows federal immigration officials to deport border crossers within hours after their arrival. Last year, for instance, more than 71 border crossers were taken to American hospitals every day. Since March 21, when the CDC’s Title 42 order was implemented, less than six border crossers are taken to American hospitals on a...
The flow of illegal immigration is highly responsive to political talk of amnesty and related issues, noted Kris Kobach, Republican candidate for the U.S. Senate to represent Kansas, offering his comments on Friday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow. Recent monthly reductions in illegal crossings into the U.S. across the southern border are largely a function of the Trump administration’s “Remain in Mexico … and … immediate turnaround policies,” Kobach stated. He added, “You take those two [policies] together, and the word gets back very quickly among the coyotes [and] among the would-be immigrant communities that, ‘Hey, you can’t just walk into the United States anymore.'” Political discussion on Capitol Hill and advanced by news media acts as a magnet for aspiring illegal immigrants and Mexican crime cartels selling human smuggling services across the U.S.-Mexico border, said Kobach. “Whenever there’s talk of an amnesty in Congress, all...
Here's a look at Trump's assertions and how they compare with the facts: WELFARE TRUMP: "Sign new immigrants up for welfare immediately. This is Joe Biden. So they walk off, and they come in, and they put a foot into our land, and we sign up new immigrants up for welfare. We sign them up immediately. They get welfare benefits. United States citizens don't get what they're looking to give illegal immigrants." THE FACT: Biden has proposed no such thing. Nor has the task force on immigration that Biden advisers created with advisers from Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders' former presidential campaign. Biden instead has proposed something far more limited. He would reverse a Trump administration rule that allows immigration officials to consider whether someone seeking a U.S. visa or green card is likely to use Medicaid or certain other public benefits. If so, that person's bid to live legally in...
By WILL WEISSERT and CALVIN WOODWARD, Associated Press WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump is assailing Joe Biden for immigration proposals that Biden actually isn't proposing. Trump's account of what his Democratic presidential rival says he'd do with people in the country illegally is false in almost every detail. Trump issued his heated indictment of Biden's immigration policies and other plans in a sprawling performance from the Rose Garden on Tuesday and carried on with the theme Wednesday. In addition to misrepresenting Biden's still-evolving agenda, Trump ignored the fact that the Obama-Biden administration aggressively deported people, drawing fierce criticism from some advocates for immigrants. Laredo Sector Border Patrol agents disrupted a human smuggling attempt at an interior immigration checkpoint in South Texas on July 13. The interdiction led to the arrest of 35 migrants who were locked in a dangerously hot trailer. Agents assigned to the U.S. Highway 83 immigration checkpoint on the evening of July 13 observed a white tractor-trailer approaching for inspection. During the initial interview, the driver and passenger admitted there were people locked inside the trailer, according to information obtained from Laredo Sector Border Patrol officials. The agents opened the trailer and found 35 people locked inside the trailer with no means of escape in the event of a crash or abandonment by the human smugglers. Officials report the temperature inside the trailer reached a temperature in excess of 126 degrees Fahrenheit. Agents interviewed and screened the 35 migrants and determined all were illegally present in the United States. Officials...
The value of Greyhound Lines Inc., the intercity bus service company, has seen a drop in its value as a result of reductions to illegal immigration at the United States-Mexico border. Executives with Greyhound’s parent company, FirstGroup, told MarketWatch their value has dropped by about $156 million because of less migration across the southern border. As Breitbart News has reported, President Trump’s administration released tens of thousands of border crossers and illegal aliens into the U.S. every month. Those foreign nationals would board Greyhound buses to travel to the interior of the country. Today, though, thanks to the Remain in Mexico policy, other agreements with Central America, and the Center for Disease Control’s Title 42 order, the mass catch and release of border crossers and illegal aliens has been drastically reduced. FirstGroup’s Ryan Mangold said that reduction in mass migration into the U.S. has cut Greyhound’s value: “At the back...
President Trump’s comment in an interview Friday that he will sign an executive order including a “road to citizenship” for immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally as children and protected under the DACA program is mistake. He shouldn’t make a major concession like this on illegal immigration without getting something important from Democrats in return. The president told Telemundo anchor Jose Diaz-Balart that in the next few weeks “I’m going to do a big executive order, I have the power to do it as president and I’m going to make DACA a big part of it.” DACA stands for Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. The program was created by President Barack Obama under an executive order in 2012. According to the Department of Homeland Security there are now about 643,000 DACA recipients in the U.S.  TRUMP SAYS HE WILL SIGN ORDER TO PROVIDE ROAD TO CITIZENSHIP FOR 'DREAMERS'  Many DACA...
President Trump says he will be signing “a very major immigration bill” within the next month that provides a “road to citizenship” to the roughly 800,000 illegal aliens who are enrolled in former President Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. During an interview with Telemundo on Friday, Trump said he is working on a comprehensive immigration plan that will allow hundreds of thousands of DACA illegal aliens to remain permanently in the U.S. and eventually obtain American citizenship. Trump said the plan would be unveiled “over the next four weeks.” He went on to say: I’m going to do a big executive order. I have the power to do it as president. And I’m going to make DACA a part of it. But we put it in and we’re probably then going to be taking it out. We’re working out the legal complexities right now, but I’m going to...
Reuters July 10, 2020 0 Comments President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Thursday that Donald Trump had drastically changed the way he talks about Mexico’s people, in the leftist leader’s latest warm words about the U.S. president who has a history of upsetting Mexicans. Lopez Obrador’s comments came a day after the two men met for the first time at the White House, where the Mexican president praised Trump for showing “kindness and respect” toward his country. That drew angry responses from critics in Mexico. Lopez Obrador told television network Telemundo that in the past, Trump, a Republican, had a certain “vision” of Mexicans. But that was different now, he said. “He has completely changed his rhetoric,” Lopez Obrador said. “The relationship with President Trump is very good and, as I said yesterday, he has treated us like friends, not as distant neighbors.” Trump described Mexican immigrants as...
Mexico’s cooperation with the U.S. on border security is at an all-time high, declared Deputy Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Ken Cuccinelli on Thursday’s edition of SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Daily with host Alex Marlow. President Donald Trump’s initially “heavy-handed” approach towards Mexico on issues related to border security and illegal immigration yielded unprecedented cooperation with the bordering states, Cuccinelli stated. “We have never had better cooperation from our Mexican partners to the south on blocking illegal immigration than we’re getting right now,” he added. “We’re in a completely different place [with Mexico],” Cuccinelli remarked. “Right now, under the public health order, the vast proportion of Mexican nationals coming across illegally [are being returned] in under two hours to Mexico, and that can only be done with their cooperation.” LISTEN: Cuccinelli continued, “We’re also returning some folks from Central America that quickly and [are] still running what’s called the MPP —...

A proposed policy platform for the Democrat Party, drafted by supporters of presumed Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT), would give asylum to the world’s migrants — inviting them all to the United States to live and work. The document, known as the Biden-Sanders Unity Task Force Recommendations, would provide amnesty and a pathway to U.S. citizenship to the 11 to 22 million illegal aliens living in the nation and welcome hundreds of millions of the world’s migrants. The proposed Democrat platform would expand asylum for migrants arriving at the U.S.-Mexico border, freeing them into the interior of the nation while they await their hearings. Gallup research from 2018 finds that nearly 160 million migrants around the world would move to the U.S. if given the opportunity — five million of which are located in Central America. Likewise, the plan ends construction of the border wall,...
President Trump and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador will discuss in Washington this week a long-term strategy to target illegal migration in the region, according to two senior administration officials. “The historic work that both of these administrations — led by the two presidents — have done stemming from one, the USMCA, which is something that we are going to obviously highlight … but also our historic cooperation on migration, which has decreased,” a senior official told reporters in a call Tuesday evening. The meeting was expected to focus on trade between the two North American nations, but the White House also plans to bring up a hot topic for Trump ahead of the election: immigration. “Illegal migration is now down 85% of mostly from Central American countries that would not be possible without the help of President Lopez Obrador with the Migrant Protection plan that...
Officials in Montgomery County, Maryland, released an illegal immigrant charged with raping a child despite an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detainer request. Rene Ramos-Hernandez, a Salvadoran national, was booked last month on one count of sexual abuse of a minor and two counts of second-degree rape following an allegation of "forced unwanted sexual intercourse" with a 7-year-old girl “at least ten times” in the early 2000s, according to WJLA. The day after his arrest, ICE’s Baltimore field office filed a civil immigration detainer against Ramos-Hernandez, but a judge granted him a $30,000 unsecured personal bond, and he was ultimately released. ICE says they were not given enough time to come and collect him at the jail. ICE officials told WJLA that they were only given an hour's notice that Ramos-Hernandez was being released. Ramos-Hernandez faces up to 70 years in prison if convicted. The move to release...
The U.S. Supreme Court says Congress can bar the nation’s federal courts from interfering in the agencies’ deportation of illegal aliens. “An alien … has only those rights regarding admission that Congress has provided by statute,” said the 7-2 decision by Justice Samuel Alito. “An alien who tries to enter the country illegally is treated an an ‘applicant for admission,’ an alien who is detained shortly after unlawful entry cannot be said to have ‘effected an [legal] entry.” The decision in Department of Homeland Security vs. Thuraissigiam is a victory for President Donald Trump’s effort to enforce U.S. migration law. The new decision comes one day after a D.C. appeal court allowed the immigration agencies to begin the fast-track “expedited removal” of illegal migrants caught deep inside the United States. Dale Wilcox, executive director of the Immigration Reform Law Institute, said: The Court made absolutely the right call in this case. All aliens in...
The Supreme Court decision blocking the Trump administration’s attempts to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program puts immigration policies back in national focus. It highlights the incongruous, if not schizophrenic, attitudes we collectively hold about immigration and immigrants. In 2016, President Donald Trump’s promises to crack down on illegal immigration were keystone of his campaign. This obviously struck a positive chord with millions of voters. Yet at the same time, virtually every U.S. meat-poultry packing plant employs illegal workers. Virtually every one of the large milking operations that are wiping out traditional dairying across the country depends on such immigrants. It is common to find them landscaping, pouring concrete, stuccoing, cleaning houses and/or cooking, washing dishes and cleaning at myriad restaurants and hotels. Talk too strongly of deporting all not here legally, and the American Farm Bureau Federation and other industry associations will argue that heaven and Earth...
