A mother who gave birth to identical quadruplets amid the coronavirus pandemic has opened up about what life is like with her 20-month-old sons, saying she and her husband change 24 diapers a day and spend $300 a week on groceries. Jenny Marr, 36, from Texas, and her husband Chris welcomed their four boys — Hudson, Harrison, Henry, and Hardy — on March 15, 2020, when much of the country was going into lockdown and hospitals were implementing severe visitation restrictions.  Nearly two years later, the parents are inundated with never-ending diaper changes and trips to the grocery store, but they wake up every day grateful for their '15 million to one miracles.'   'Life has completely changed for Chris and I now that we suddenly have four babies to look after,' Jenny told The Sun. 'We go through 1.5 gallons of milk every couple of days, and I do try and cook homemade food, but sometimes I’m so exhausted that I just heat up something that’s frozen for Chris and I to eat.' A one-year-old female Sumatran elephant was recently caught in a poacher’s trap, and as a result, had to get her trunk amputated. Rescuers found the baby elephant with her trunk nearly severed in half by the trap. She was very weak and seemed to have been abandoned by her herd. Wildlife officials had to perform a life-saving surgery to remove the calf’s trunk so that she could heal safely.  Wildlife officials do not doubt that this was a poacher trap as the trouble with poachers targeting Sumatran elephants has increased. In July, an adult elephant was found without their head, and poachers were caught selling the ivory. This one-year-old elephant is one of the 700 Sumatran elephants left on Sumatra Island.  In the past 9 years, 25 Sumatran elephants have died either by poachers, poachers traps, or poisoning in just one district. This puts the already delicate population on the brink of dwindling away before our eyes. This is the dark and ugly truth behind the illegal wildlife trade, as no animal is safe from poachers who are...
New York (CNN Business)Bugatti, the French manufacturer of $3 million supercars, is over a century old. But now it faces what may be the most difficult maneuver it has ever had to carry out: transitioning to an electric future. The man now taking the wheel at Bugatti is Mate Rimac, a 33-year-old Bosnian-born engineering prodigy — and one who harbors no illusions about the challenges facing his industry. Famous today for some of the world's biggest and powerful gasoline engines ever put into a road car, Bugatti had been reborn in 2003 as the jewel in the crown of the Volkswagen Group. Besides VW, the global automaker's other brands include Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini and Bentley. Ever since, Bugatti has been a technological showcase for the company, pushing the limits of what engineers and customers thought possible. A car that could top 250 miles per hour? No problem. One that can do 300? Sure, as long as you've got the nearly $4 million it costs. And all that performance comes wrapped in an elegantly designed, carefully handcrafted body custom-made from expensive materials.But...

Alex Ovechkin keeps inching closer to NHL records originally appeared on NBC Sports Washington As Capitals defenseman Dennis Cholowski greeted Alex Ovechkin after the captain’s third goal of the night, it seemed surreal to Cholowski that he’d even get to bask in such a moment. In a 4-3 win over the Florida Panthers on Friday night at Capital One Arena, the Capitals were led by a 36-year-old who is showing no signs of slowing down and has no intentions to. With three goals, one on the power play, Ovechkin rallied Washington past the league-leading Panthers for another standout performance in a year that’s becoming one of his best as a professional. Cholowski was just six-years-old when Ovechkin was drafted by the Capitals as the high-flying Russian phenom who scored goals in bunches. And like everyone else at Capital One Arena he could only watch as the veteran goal-scorer he, and most every young hockey player in the NHL grew up idolizing, was once again better than them all years later. “Yeah, it’s crazy,” said Cholowski, picked up on waivers...
Much of what happened to Anna-Louise Bates on the terrible night a careless driver wiped out half of her family remains fragmented. She remembers pushing her daughter, Elizabeth, three, in the stroller as they walked home from a Christmas party.  Her husband, Stuart, and seven-year-old son, Fraser, were ahead. They were in high spirits, crossing the road while singing: 'I will walk 500 miles' from The Proclaimers' hit I'm Gonna Be. There was a bang. Screams. Sirens. Stuart, 43, died at the scene. Fraser, who suffered 'catastrophic injuries', was taken to intensive care at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Cardiff. Anna-Louise fell to her knees when doctors told her he was brain dead. 'You've just taken away my husband. You can't take away my son,' she wept. She recalls the conversation about organ donation. Paperwork. Kissing her son time and again. At 4:30 pm on Wednesday, a 55-year-old woman in South Philadelphia was talking to a man near a red pick-up when she suddenly became alarmed. “No!” she can be heard crying in a video that appeared on Twitter. The woman dashed across the street as the man reached into the back of the truck and ran after her. He had a gun in his upraised right hand, “Call 911! Call 911! Call 911! Call 911!” she screamed. Her death became the city’s 500th homicide this year, matching the all-time record set in 1990. DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – Gratitude is timely during the run up to Thanksgiving. And yet at Oak Cliff’s Momentous School, lessons in appreciation are taught right alongside academics all year long. “It really has a magical power,” explains Principal Daniel Knoll. “When students are working together, and a student might show them how to do a problem a certain kind of way that maybe they didn’t know how to do before. And the child says ‘thank you’, ‘thank you for teaching me something’, it just deepens that relationship with one another and that level of respect and care.” Simply put: emotions matter. “When my friends say, ‘thank you’ to me, it makes me feel happy,” shares Amy, a 6-year-old first grade student. “When students notice and care for one another, they’re able to go deeper into their learning in ways they wouldn’t if they didn’t know how to appreciate one another.” So, while “circle time” is common to set the tone for the day at many schools, at Momentous School, staffers go deeper to show that emotions matter. “We say ‘hi’...
The country music singe Jimmie Allen is setting his sights on a group of 'lazy doctors' that he alleges did not provide his daughter Zara with the medical care she needed. The 36-year-old singer–songwriter claimed Tuesday on social media that his one-month-old child was discharged by doctors after she was 'having a hard time breathing,' and she subsequently 'stopped breathing' during a medical emergency. This horrific photo shows the bruises suffered by a six-year-old boy two months before he died after being 'abused and beaten to death' by his father and stepmother. The image was taken by Arthur Labinjo-Hughes' concerned grandmother in a desperate attempt to convince the authorities he was in danger.  Joanne Hughes told jurors how she called social services and offered to send the picture but they 'didn't want to see' it. When social workers visited the next day, they put the marks down to  'child play' and recorded 'no concerns'.  One of the social workers later told the trial that she noticed a 'yellowing bruise' on the middle of Arthur's back during the visit. When she was later shown Ms Hughes photo - which shows a heavy bruise on his left shoulder - she was 'shocked' both at the extent of his injuries and that she had failed to realise how serious they were.  Arthur was allegedly killed after suffering systematic abuse which matched the 'medical definition of child torture', including being deprived of food, made to stand for 14 hours a...
