He showed plenty of promise in the preseason, leading the Ravens with 163 yards on 42 carries, but couldn’t win a roster spot ahead of fan favorite Ty’Son Williams, despite a season-ending injury to J.K. Dobbins. As a result, McCrary was waived by the Ravens during final roster cuts on August 31 and was quickly claimed by the Denver Broncos. But he never saw the field in Denver and eventually returned to Baltimore on September 25 shortly after being cut by the Broncos. His...
Getty Alim McNeill on the field for the Lions in 2021. The start of any player’s rookie year can be difficult, so maintaining the right mindset off the field can be almost as important as play on the field. Detroit Lions defensive tackle Alim McNeill seems to believe that. McNeill has been durable and reliable this season for the Lions, and has been able to maintain this through the season. As things push to a close, is McNeill beginning to hit any kind of rookie wall? The good news for the team is the answer seems to be no. The latest Lions news straight to your inbox! Speaking to the media on Thursday, December 2 in an interview posted to DetroitLions.com, McNeill was asked about his mindset as he pushes through his rookie year. Has there been a wall? Not according to McNeill, who admits to trying to do the right things to avoid such a fate. “A couple of days ago my dad asked...
Getty Quinn Nordin The New England Patriots seem to really love rookie kicker Quinn Nordin. On Friday, December 1, just two days after releasing him, the Patriots added him back to the practice squad. The Michigan alum with the powerful leg was given every opportunity to outkick veteran Nick Folk in training camp and the preseason. However, some inconsistencies outshined the power of his leg and Folk returned as the team’s placekicker. ALL the latest Patriots news straight to your inbox! However, Bill Belichick’s insistence on keeping Nordin within reach–after he cleared waivers–suggests there is at least some belief in the rookie’s chances of perhaps making an impact on the roster. Getty Head coach Matt Nagy of the Chicago Bears announced the team is set to activated rookie OL Teven Jenkins for the first time this season. Chicago Bears rookie offensive lineman Teven Jenkins could finally see action in his first NFL game. Bears head coach Matt Nagy announced on December 3 that Jenkins was set to be activated for the first time this season heading into the team’s Week 13 game against the Arizona Cardinals. The rookie tackle underwent back surgery in August, and has spent the last 3+ months recovering. The team moved up to No. 39 to snag the the 6-foot-6, 321-pounder in the second round of the draft this year with the hopes he would be the future at left tackle, but Nagy noted we wouldn’t be seeing Jenkins in the starting lineup just yet, suggesting he would be backing up 39-year-old vet Jason Peters. “He provides a lot of depth to us, and we have a position there at left tackle where Jason Peters is playing pretty well,” Nagy said about Jenkins on December...
Getty Former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Adrian Ealy looks on during training camp in July. Former Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Adrian Ealy has signed with the Denver Broncos, according to the NFL’s official transaction report on November 30, giving the undrafted rookie a new home a week after he was released by the Ravens. Ealy spent four years at the University of Oklahoma, starting at right tackle for the Sooners for his junior and senior seasons, earning Second-Team All-Big 12 honors in both years. At Oklahoma, Ealy was a solid pass protector who struggled to block on the move, whether it be pulling on a run play or combating a speedy edge rusher. He was widely expected to be a Day 3 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but was not selected before the draft concluded, giving the Ravens the opportunity to sign him as a free agent. The move was seen as one of the best undrafted free agents signings in the NFL, as the Ravens had a few established offensive tackles on their roster but no clear...

The NASCAR Truck Series organization has announced that Chandler Smith will return to the No. 18 Toyota Tundra after a two-win season. KBM announced the news with a video on Tuesday, November 30. The Rookie of the Year pulled up to a Safelite Auto Glass location so he could “sign some paperwork.” The camera revealed that Smith was signing his contract for the 2022 season. For all the grief the Miami Dolphins have received for their 2020 first round of draft picks, they appear to really have hit on their early 2021 selections. There was no greater example than Sunday’s 33-10 win over the Carolina Panthers where receiver Jaylen Waddle and outside linebacker Jaelan Phillips had career-best performances and safety Jevon Holland came up with an interception. For as much criticism — rightfully so, in many cases — as has been dished to general manager Chris Grier, coach Brian Flores and the Dolphins’ brass for draft picks and roster decisions, their two first-round picks and early second-round choice in this year’s draft are all paying dividends. “They work hard,” said Flores in a Monday web conference. “Football’s important to them. They’re team-first. Those guys are tough. They’re competitive. They enjoy playing with one another, support each other. “I’m confident that they’ll continue to get better because they’ll continue to put the work in, and they’re all sponges. They want to get better. They want to learn. They want to improve. They...
There must be something in the air whenever the Ravens play on prime-time that turns rookie outside linebacker Odafe Oweh into a menace. Throughout the season, Oweh has proven to be one of the biggest steals of the 2021 NFL draft. During the Ravens’ messy and chaotic 16-10 victory over the visiting Cleveland Browns on Sunday night, Oweh continued to build his case for Defensive Rookie of the Year. Oweh brought constant pressure on quarterback Baker Mayfield asthe Browns’ offensive line had no answer for the 6-foot-5, 251-pound linebacker from Penn State. With 3:17 remaining in the second quarter, Browns wide receiver Jarvis Landry took a direct snap and tried to scramble away from pressure, but Oweh came from behind and drilled Landry, forcing a fumble that was recovered by Ravens second-year linebacker Patrick Queen. “Once I saw that they were doing that weird Wildcat formation, I knew I had to get off on the ball,” Oweh said. “So, I quickly tried to beat my man. Jarvis kind of flowed my way, but once he saw...

Getty Baltimore Ravens cornerback Kevon Seymour makes a tackle as a member of the Buffalo Bills in 2016. The Baltimore Ravens’ injury luck continues to worsen this season, with head coach John Harbaugh confirming yesterday that rookie safety Ar’Darius Washington suffered a season-ending broken foot in practice on Wednesday, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. Zrebiec first reported on Thanksgiving that Washington “sustained a potentially significant foot injury,” leaving the Ravens even more shorthanded in their secondary. Baltimore moved Washington to the injured reserve list today, per the NFL’s official transaction report, confirming that he will not play again this season. Washington did not play much this season, but he was expected to take on a larger role in the coming weeks with injuries to multiple defensive backs, including nickel corner Tavon Young, who Washington replaced last Sunday against the Chicago Bears. Now, Washington joins a whopping 15 other Ravens on season-ending injured reserve, which also includes cornerbacks Marcus Peters, Khalil Dorsey and Iman Marshall. Though Washington went undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Ravens still opted...
CLEVELAND (AP) — Cavaliers fast-starting rookie forward Evan Mobley could return to the lineup sooner than expected after missing less than two weeks with a sprained right elbow. Mobley got hurt on Nov. 15 against Boston. At the time, the Cavs estimated he could out for as long as one month. However, the No. 3 overall pick has made quick progress and is listed as probable for Saturday’s game against the Orlando Magic. The Cavs lost to the Celtics on the night Mobley was injured while batting Boston big man Enes Kanter under the basket. Cleveland, which has been hit hard by injuries, has dropped its last four games without Mobley. He’s been among the NBA’s top rookies through the season’s first six weeks, and Mobley’s return could help the young Cavs get untracked. Cleveland lost leading scorer Collin Sexton for the season with a knee injury. The 20-year-old Mobley averaged 14.6 points and 8.0 rebounds in his first 15 games. He’s been equally effective on defense, averaging 1.6 blocks and being amongst the league’s leaders in contested shots. ___...
Getty Elijah Mitchell receives a handoff during the Week 2 win at Philadelphia. It took more than half the season, but the San Francisco 49ers have figured out who they are. The only question that remains is will the Niners’ injury luck allow them to consistently be that football team? The post-Thanksgiving Day injury report lists starting running back Elijah Mitchell as officially questionable for Sunday’s pivotal matchup against the Minnesota Vikings. Elijah Mitchell is officially questionable for 49ers-Vikings — David Lombardi (@LombardiHimself) November 26, 2021 Mitchell’s designation does not just bring into question the star rookie’s status for a game with potentially major playoff implications — both teams are 5-5 and in the thick of a crowded race for three NFC Wildcard berths come January — but also threatens the specific style of play the Niners have employed to pull themselves back into the postseason race.Niners Deploy ‘Top 40’ Strategy to Climb NFL Charts GETTYRunning back Jeff Wilson Jr., of the San Francisco 49ers, celebrates with wide receiver Kendrick Bourne after scoring on a 25-yard touchdown...
SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Nick Bosa was pretty dominant as a rookie in 2019 when his pass rush skills helped the San Francisco 49ers make it to the Super Bowl. Here’s some bad news for the rest of the NFL: Bosa feels he’s even better this season, a year removed from reconstructive knee surgery. He some numbers to back it up. After earning his third multi-sack game of the season last week at Jacksonville, Bosa has already set a career high with 10 sacks, surpassing the nine he had in 2019 when he won Defensive Rookie of the Year. “I think I’ve definitely improved a lot,” Bosa said. “I think I’m starting to get the hang of just how to really get sacks, get numbers. My rookie year I was just out there rushing, trying to win every time, and it worked well. But now I’m really getting the hang of how the sack leaders in the league do it. They go out there with a plan and know when their opportunities are going to come, and they’re...
Titans rookie cornerback Elijah Molden frequently talks to his father, Alex, a first-round pick by New Orleans in the 1996 draft, about football for advice. When it comes to making a trip to a new stadium on the road like Gillette Stadium in Foxborough on Sunday, that’s not the type of scouting information the rookie wants from his father. “I mean, there’s really only a handful of teams where he didn’t play,” Molden said. His father played 98 games over seven seasons, the first five in New Orleans, two in San Diego and two games his final season with Detroit. His son did notice his father playing against the Patriots on TV recently. “I think we were watching, you know, Tom Brady’s new documentary, and I saw 25 for the Chargers on that,” the rookie cornerback said. “They were getting torched. But yeah, I think that he’s played almost everywhere.” Elijah Molden, the 100th pick overall in April out of Washington, has started four of his 11 games this season. He also has a pick-6 in...
Justin Fields is the Chicago Bears franchise quarterback — or at least the hope is he will be once he is named the starter. We’re tracking the first-round pick’s performance in every game of his rookie season. Preseason game No. 1: Bears 20, Dolphins 13 The first big boost to Justin Fields mania didn’t arrive until the third quarter Saturday afternoon at Soldier Field. The Bears rookie quarterback evaded Dolphins linebacker Tyshun Render near the 15-yard line, sprinted to his left and then lowered his shoulder to plow into the end zone for an 8-yard touchdown run. Bears fans who likely had been taking deep, calming breaths and reminding themselves it was only the preseason opener for most of the first half let loose with excitement. Fields’ NFL preseason debut didn’t get off to a pretty start, but the first-round draft pick did enough by the time he left the game to keep the hype train rolling. In about two quarters of work, Fields completed 14 of 20 passes for 142 yards and a...
Todd Olszewski/Getty Images Quarterbacks Ben Roethlisberger #7 and Mason Rudolph #2of the Pittsburgh Steelers before a game against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium on November 1, 2020. The Pittsburgh Steelers are 4-1-1 in their last six games amidst something of a resurgence on the part of longtime quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. After four games this year, the Steelers were 1-3 and Roethlisberger had completed 109 of 170 passes for 1,033 yards (4 TDs, 4 INTs) and a passer rating of 78.9. “It’s not gonna get better,” said Chris Simms of Pro Football Talk, before wondering aloud whether it was “fair” to the rest of the team to continue playing Big Ben. But eight weeks later, things have gotten better. In his last five starts, Roethlisberger is 115 of 173 for 1,226 yards (9 TDs, 0 INTs), good enough to raise his passer rating to 91.7, not far from his career average of 93.9. Now some NFL observers are wondering whether Roethlisberger, 39, might get another contract and play beyond this season. The latest Steelers news straight to...
DENVER (AP) — The short-handed Denver Nuggets confirmed Wednesday that guard PJ Dozier’s season is over after he tore his left anterior cruciate ligament in a 119-100 loss at Portland on Tuesday night. Dozier got hurt when he landed awkwardly after cutting across the lane for a layup late in the first quarter while being guarded by Cody Zeller. He crumpled to the floor grabbing his left knee. The Nuggets have been hit hard by injuries and have lost five in a row after starting out 9-4 despite the absence of star guard Jamal Murray, who isn’t expected back from a torn ACL until the spring. Reigning MVP Nikola Jokic has been out three games with a sprained right wrist, rookie Bones Hyland is out with a sprained right ankle and rising star Michael Porter Jr. has missed several games with a back injury. The Denver Post reported that Porter has a nerve issue that could require season-ending surgery just months after he signed a five-year, rookie-scale max extension with the Nuggets that is guaranteed for $145.3 million and...

Getty New York Jets running back Michael Carter carries the football on November 21, 2021. The major focus of this New York Jets’ 2021 season has been on developing the youth. Head coach Robert Saleh stated this during training camp and he’s remained pretty consistent on it outside of the decision to start Joe Flacco in Week 11. Getty Miles McBride getting some rare NBA minutes against the Detroit Pistons. Miles McBride was selected 36th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the New York Knicks but has failed to register a single bucket since entering the league. In fairness to McBride, he hasn’t been given much of an opportunity in New York’s opening 14 games, making just four appearances logging a total of four minutes of playing time, per Basketball-Reference. Knicks assign Miles McBride to Westchester. He will be available for tonight’s game against Long Island. — NY_KnicksPR (@NY_KnicksPR) November 17, 2021 McBride, a 6-foot-2 point guard out of Cincinnati, Ohio, came into the league with a reputation as a scorer after shooting 41.4% from three during his sophomore year at college. Tanktahon tracked McBride’s stats at West Virginia last season and has him listed as scoring 15.9 points, dropping 4.8 assists, garnering 1.9 steals, and pulling down 3.9 boards per game in a very productive season. Furthermore, with an 81.3% conversion rate from the three-throw line, there’s every reason to believe that McBride’s shooting...
BOSTON (CBS) — The Patriots don’t have to wait long to try to win their fifth straight game. Coming off their best game of the season, the Patriots now get to visit the Atlanta Falcons on a short week. It will be Patriots-Falcons on Thursday Night Football this week, a tilt between a team that is red hot, and one that is just sorta playing things out. The Falcons are somewhat decent at 4-5 and they’ve won three of their last five. But they’re also coming off a 43-3 pounding by the Cowboys in Dallas. The Patriots haven’t lost a road game this season. The Falcons haven’t won a home game, with their lone “home” win coming in London. And even that carries a big asterisk, considering it came against the Jets. The Patriots will look to make it seven straight wins over the Falcons on Thursday night, a streak that includes New England’s epic comeback in Super Bowl LI. This will be the first time that the two teams face off at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, though the Patriots have won...

Getty What does the return of Teven Jenkins mean for Jason Peters? The Chicago Bears got a big boost when rookie offensive lineman Teven Jenkins returned to the practice field on November 15. It was the first time the second-round tackle has set foot on the field after undergoing back surgery in August, and the Bears will begin evaluating him this week. “We’ll have to really get him in here and see where he’s at. It’s been a while since Teven’s put the pads on, so we’ll start there,” Bears head coach Matt Nagy told the media. “For him to be able to do what he has to do now to get back to this point, now we get to work through and see where he’s at conditioning-wise, physically where he’s at. … But it’s definitely a good thing to have, and we’re excited to get him out there.” ALL the latest Bears news straight to your inbox! You’d think Steve Young would have about the best grasp of anyone outside the 49ers’ facility on the team’s quarterback situation. But even the last quarterback to win a Super Bowl for San Francisco isn’t sure what to make of the Niners’ approach with veteran Jimmy Garoppolo and rookie Trey Lance. Speaking pregame on ESPN, Young laid out the scenario as many Niners fans have over the last several weeks, wondering if there was sense to be made. “Jimmy is beloved in the locker room and he’s not the guy. But he’s on the field and he’s playing but then we got the other guy waiting but he’s not ready — but when he’s ready it’s his,” Young said of Kyle Shanahan’s dilemma. Shanahan has a tough situation on his hands, but it’s one of his own making after spending three first-round picks to move up from No. 12 to No. 3 and draft Lance. With the 49ers at 3-5 midway through the season, one might assume it’s time to hand the offense over to...
The BBWAA announced the National League and American League Rookie of the Year award winners on Monday night. Cincinnati Reds infielder Jonathan India won NL Rookie of the Year, capturing the award over the likes of Dylan Carlson of the St. Louis Cardinals, and Trevor Rogers of the Miami Marlins. India was the Reds leadoff hitter for the majority of the season, making an immediate impact when manager David Bell opted to go with the rookie in that spot in early June. India hit a home run, and registered a base hit in his first game leading off on June 5. “I can’t imagine someone being more deserving than Jonathan,” Bell said. “He’s done everything in his power to make our team better and he has done that. He’s personally had a great season, great accomplishments, but he simply made us a much better team by being in our lineup every day and I think that’s what it is all about.” Who is Jonathan India?India will turn 25 years old this offseason, and finished the season with a .269 batting...
Jonathan India of the Cincinnati Reds won NL Rookie of the Year honors on Monday night, eight months after earning the team’s second base job during spring training and never letting it go during a stellar first season. The 24-year-old India received 29 of 30 first-place votes in balloting by members of the Baseball Writers’ Association of America, beating out Miami left-handed pitcher Trevor Rogers and St. Louis outfielder Dylan Carlson. Rogers got one first-place vote. India was the No. 5 overall pick in the 2018 draft and played third base in college at Florida, but he’s found a home at second base in the big leagues and become a cornerstone for the Reds’ future. His quick impact in the big leagues was somewhat surprising considring he had just 111 at-bats above Single-A before 2021. He’s the Reds’ first rookie of the year winner since pitcher Scott Williamson in 1999. The 6-foot, 200-pound India was an all-around threat — particularly during the second half of the season — often batting leadoff and finishing with a .269 average, 34 doubles, 21...
Chase Young will not play the rest of this season after injuring his right leg. Washington coach Ron Rivera confirmed the prognosis for Young on Monday in the wake of the reigning Defensive Rookie of the Year going down during the first half of an upset of defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay. Rivera did not reveal whether Young tore the ACL in his right knee. Washington said Sunday that Young left the game with a knee injury. The 2020 No. 2 pick finishes his second NFL season with 1 1/2 sacks. Rookie Shaka Toney is among the pass rushers who will fill in for Young at Carolina and the rest of the year. Before he reaches free agency next season, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge clarifies his desire to stay in New York for the rest of his career.  Ever since he debuted for the team in 2016, Aaron Judge has had an illustrious career with the Yankees. He began his career with an auspicious home run on his first at-bat, finishing his rookie season with an All-Star award and a Home Run Derby win. His 52 home runs as a rookie not only bested Mark McGwire’s MLB rookie home run record, but it obliterated Joe DiMaggio’s Yankees record of 29. Since his historic breakthrough season, Judge has been one of the Yankees’ best players — and he doesn’t want his time in New York to end anytime soon. “To be honest, there’s no better place to play,” Judge said. “No other place I’d really ever want to play, just based on how the fans have embraced me, how they brought me in and treated me as one of their own. It’s incredible.” Judge is 29 years old, and he...
Getty Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman runs after a catch against the Minnesota Vikings. Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Rashod Bateman may only be four games into his NFL career, but the rookie is already turning heads around the league with his excellent route running and reliable hands. The former Minnesota Golden Gopher is averaging more than 60 yards per game and has picked up first downs on 15 of his 18 catches. Getty Images Baker Mayfield of the Cleveland Browns. Quarterback Baker Mayfield was knocked out of the Cleveland Browns‘ matchup against the New England Patriots on Sunday after taking a hard hit from Matthew Judon. Mayfield is already playing through a serious shoulder injury but appeared to injure his lower body on the hit, which was a clean shot by Judon right after Mayfield delivered a pass. The Browns QB tried to get up but was unable to initially, being helped to the medical tent. Mayfield was coming off his best game of the season, passing for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He earned a 132.6 QB rating, his best of the season. Mayfield has been playing with a shoulder injury that includes a fracture and tear of the labrum. He’s been wearing a brace on his non-throwing shoulder to help him gut through the injury, which has been a process. “I definitely would say there is more comfort with that on,” Mayfield said of the brace during the week. “Just as the weeks go on, it is...
SANTA CLARA — With one exception, the 49ers will reach the midway point of the season with a draft class that has mostly been spectators in a 3-5 season. The 49ers expected to be better than this and have hopes of turning it around when they host the Los Angeles Rams (7-2) Monday night at Levi’s Stadium. If the 49ers were indeed better — like say the Rams, who have made a habit of trading draft picks for proven talent — then the lack of production and playing time wouldn’t seem like a big deal. But at two games under .500, it’s fair to wonder why more of the draft class of 2021 can’t join running back Elijah Mitchell and get on the field. The most publicized pick, quarterback Trey Lance, whom the 49ers traded up to select No. 3 overall, has made just one start in place of an injured Jimmy Garappolo. He’s played sparingly in specialty packages designed to take advantage of his athleticism. Lance is so out of sight and out of mind that...
Getty Defensive end Boogie Basham goes through a drill at Buffalo Bills practice. The deepest position group for the Buffalo Bills just got unexpectedly thinner, and a little-used rookie could see a big opportunity arise from the crisis. The team announced on Thursday that defensive lineman Justin Zimmer has been placed on injured reserve after he suffered a season-ending knee injury. Zimmer had been part of the deep rotation that head coach Sean McDermott utilizes on the defensive line, making eight total tackles including two tackles for a loss and one sack while appearing in six games. With Zimmer out, the Bills could lean more heavily on their second-round pick who so far has only appeared in two games. Getty Kevin Durant at MetLife Stadium in 2015. It is no longer a hot take to say that Brooklyn Nets superstar Kevin Durant has come back from his Achilles tear even better than he was before suffering the injury. Getty Jerry Jacobs on the field for the Lions in 2021 against the Rams. Confidence is a big part of playing in the NFL, and Detroit Lions rookie cornerback Jerry Jacobs isn’t short on any of that, especially after starting off his first season in the league in strong fashion. After injuries, Jacobs was quite literally thrown into the fire this season, and instead of folding, has reacted well for the team. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers and wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling stood together on the sideline last month at Cincinnati admiring the work of De’Vondre Campbell. The Packers’ new inside linebacker had nine tackles, broke up a pass and snared another that day, helping Green Bay edge the Bengals. “We just said, ‘How in the hell was this guy on the street?’” Rodgers recounted. “It’s a great pickup by our personnel folks. He can run, he’s a great tackler, he’s around the ball all the time, he’s a great locker room guy. I mean, it’s baffling to me.” When Packers GM Brian Gutekunst signed the sixth-year pro to a one-year, $2 million contract in June, it appeared a minor move even though Campbell had 70 starts in four solid but unspectacular seasons with the Falcons and one with the Cardinals. Instead, he has become a key reason for Green Bay’s 7-2 start, one of the league’s best bargains and, at age 28, the top defensive breakout in 2021. Campbell has a team-high 82 tackles, two interceptions, two forced fumbles, one...

Briscoe's Rookie of the Year title was secured by virtue of his performance throughout the season, which saw him be the top-finishing rookie over ROTY rival Anthony Alfredo 29 times compared to Alfredo's seven. Getty Teddy Bridgewater could return in 2022 as the Denver Broncos' starting quarterback. But after general manger George Paton scouts two promising QB prospects, November 6, the skids may be greased. While the Denver Broncos are on their way to Dallas to face the Cowboys, general manager George Paton is on his way to Oxford, Mississippi to take a look at what the future may hold. Getty Chris Duarte and Evan Fournier battle for the ball. The NBA Draft is long over and the season has begun, but the New York Knicks might still be feeling remorseful after letting one of their reported targets slip away. Sharpshooter Chris Duarte was looked at in the draft by both the Knicks and the Warriors, but he ended up being drafted by the Indiana Pacers, and he’s been a bright spot for them so far. Through nine games, a small sample size of course, he’s averaging 16.9 points per game, including 42.9 percent from three. While he’s just a rookie, he was slotted directly into the starting lineup for the Pacers and he’s putting up very good numbers already. In fact, his stats are pretty much in line with Evan Fournier, who was the big signing for the Knicks in the offseason. If the team was able to grab Duarte in the draft, perhaps there’s a world where Fournier wouldn’t be on the Knicks. Getty Reggie Jackson of the LA Clippers is not off to the greatest start this season when it comes to shooting percentage. The ball just hasn’t been falling for Los Angeles Clippers guard Reggie Jackson so far this season. The 11-year vet is off to the worst start of his career in terms of shooting percentage, hitting just 31% of his shots from the floor and 29.1% of his three-point attempts. That’s the worst he has shot since the 2011-12 season, which was his first in the NBA — and considering he’s playing a career-high 34.8 minutes this year, that’s far from ideal. “I can’t imagine being in a dry spell like this much longer,” Jackson said about his slow start, via The Orange County Register, adding it helped knowing Clipper Nation has his back. Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett revisit their first duet in emotional One Last Time preview This Is the State Where the Most People Own Their Homes The No. 3 overall pick has been the best player in this class so far and has Cleveland thinking big. View the original article to see embedded media. It’s probably not quite accurate to label Evan Mobley as a revelation for the Cavaliers. But it’s hard to blame anyone for feeling that way. If you watched Mobley play at USC last season, you understand why he was the No. 3 pick in the 2021 draft, and if you watched closely, it was clear just how unique his versatility and defensive ability could make him in the pros. If you didn’t do either of those things—and especially if you’re a Cavs fan, or just a fan of aesthetically interesting basketball—then you might have a new favorite player. Mobley is currently headlining an exceptional rookie class that is already making a good impression. It feels unusually safe to say that this is potentially one of...
US warehouses running out of room amid supply chain crisis Israeli, Palestinian olive growers face same climate challenge It hasn't exactly been a storybook season for high schooler-turned-rookie Kobe Bryant. The ending, though, is turning out to be a happy one. Having persisted through the wrist and hip injuries that set him back before the season even started, the wild swings in minutes, the demands of playing three positions and the spotlight that has come with being the youngest player (18) in league history. Bryant is playing at his highest level yet. TSN ARCHIVES: Teenage Kobe Bryant was the NBA's most electrifying player Entering the week, he was averaging 7.8 points per game and 13.6 in his previous 10 games.
