A senior, Walker wore uniform No. 1 for the varsity squad and calmly ran its offense as point guard and served as team captain for four years running. Using the quickness that earned him his nickname, he forced turnovers and turned fast breaks into scores. “He was the heart and soul of our team,” said his coach, Nate Roche. Last year, Walker, 18, led the Rams to a winning 26-9 season that ended at the state semifinals in March. “This was our year,” he said.     KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii (AP) — A Hawaii man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for a drunken driving car crash that left a woman dead. Austin Kembel, 23, was sentenced Wednesday for the March 2018 accident that killed 41-year-old Trina Walker and injured another man, West Hawaii Today reported Thursday. Kembel pleaded no contest to first-degree negligent homicide in January. Prosecutors dropped charges of manslaughter and second-degree negligent injury in exchange for the plea. Kembel’s defense attorney, Michael Schlueter, asked for probation for his client but Kona Circuit Court Judge Melvin H. Fujino imposed the maximum possible sentence. Family and friends of Walker in the courtroom applauded after Fujino announced the sentence. The accident around in North Kona on Hawaii Island involved three cars, police said. (CBS) – A 70-year-old Grafton, New Hampshire man said he felt pressured to return to work at a state liquor store, despite his age and pre-existing conditions that could put him at increased risk for coronavirus. “I have COPD.
