When Joe Buck calls a Green Bay Packers game, it’s hard to overlook the love he has for legendary quarterback Aaron Rodgers. But Sunday afternoon, instead of throwing praise at Rodgers, the Fox play-by-play voice tossed some epic shade. Early in the first quarter during Green Bay’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams, Fox sideline reporter Erin Andrews discussed Rodgers’ highly scrutinized toe injury, stating the quarterback took a “painkilling injection.” Buck followed Andrews’ report with a ruthless jab of the quarterback. “So Aaron is telling us that he’s had that toe immunized against the pain,” Buck said. While Rodgers is taking injections for his injured pinky toe, the quarterback has refused vaccine injections to combat Covid-19. Earlier this month, fans and media were shocked to learn Rodgers was unvaccinated, despite the quarterback infamously telling reporters in August he was “immunized” against Covid. Rodgers was only revealed to be unvaccinated after he tested positive for Covid three weeks ago. After missing one game while dealing with the virus, Rodgers returned to the football field with a mysterious toe injury. During...
Tori Richman/Tampa Bay Buccaneers A former chef has accused Tampa Bay Buccaneers wideout Antonio Brown of obtaining and using a fake COVID-19 card, according to Rick Stroud. Stroud’s report says Brown's former chef, Steven Ruiz, currently works in Los Angeles and recently had a “falling out” with the former Steeler over $10,000 of an “uncollected debt.” The chef sent a screenshot of text messages to the Tampa Bay Times showing an exchange between the wide receiver’s girlfriend Cydney Moreau where she asks Ruiz if he can locate any fake vaccination cards for “AB.” In response to the report, Antonio Brown’s attorney Sean Burstyn has maintained Brown’s vaccination status, going so far as to say “Be like Antonio brown and get the vaccine.” The Bucs released a statement claiming that “All vaccination cards were reviewed by Buccaneers personnel and no irregularities were observed.” No other details about a team investigation in response to yesterday’s specific news about Brown were included. That’s most likely because of privacy laws, but it’ll be interesting to see how—and if—the Bucs dig into this. pic.twitter.com/xLgJonsDfy— Tampa...
It looks like Aaron Rodgers will do his media availability over Zoom for the rest of the season. Prior to the Packers beating the Seahawks during their Sunday matchup, Rob Demovsky reported that Rodgers planned on doing his postgame press conference over Zoom so that he could be maskless. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football) Aaron Rodgers will hold his postgame press conference via Zoom; the Packers said. Rest assured, we’re following all the health protocols to keep everyone safe, and it is so great to be here with all my fellow artists — tested and together,” he told the audience. “Or immunized? Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers responded Tuesday to the controversy surrounding comments he made about the COVID-19 vaccine. Rodgers said he understood how people could be misled by his statements about COVID-19, including telling reporters in August that he was "immunized" before admitting last week that he was not vaccinated against the virus, which he eventually caught. "I acknowledge that I made some comments that people might have felt were misleading," he said during a Tuesday appearance on The Pat McAfee Show . "To anybody who felt misled by those comments, I take full responsibility for those comments." AARON RODGERS SLAMS 'WOKE MOB' AND INSISTS HE DIDN'T LIE ABOUT VACCINATION STATUS Rodgers said last week he did not get the vaccine because he had an allergy to the mRNA vaccines and had concerns about adverse reactions to the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. The NFL player said he “didn’t lie in the initial press conference” because he had gone through an “immunization regime” but that he also didn’t say he was unvaccinated because the NFL...
No need to go to Facebook this time. So the NFL has a mandate for all support staff that come into contact with players, but none for the players themselves because of union concerns. Instead, the union agreed last season to test all players daily. This season, unvaccinated players got tested daily, while vaccinated players got tested weekly. The league claims that 94.1% of players are vaccinated, but that number included Green Bay Packers star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who told the media earlier this season that he was "immunized." It was a clever turn of phrase, and no one questioned it, because no one thought that he'd be a lying piece of shit. But you can see why he'd want to be a lying piece of shit: Unvaccinated players are required to wear face masks at all times while at the team's facilities and are also required to observe social distancing. The mask usage also applies when in teams' weight rooms. Unvaccinated players are not allowed to eat meals with teammates and cannot do any media or...
Following two days of being chastised for his decision to not only skip the Covid vaccine, but deceive people into believing he was inoculated, Aaron Rodgers finally spoke out Friday afternoon. The quarterback joined Pat McAfee on his SiriusXM Radio show, to blast the “woke mob” for attacking him and correct what he believes are lies being spread. “I realize I’m in the crosshairs of the woke mob right now,” Rodgers said on The Pat McAfee Show. “So before my final nail gets put in my cancel culture casket I think I’d like to set the record straight on so many of the blatant lies that are out there about myself right now.” “First of all I didn’t lie in the initial press conference,” Rodgers claimed. Rodgers is alluding to his initial response when asked if he was vaccinated. In August, Rodgers answered the question by saying, “yea, I’m immunized.” His answer led everyone to assume he was vaccinated when in fact he was not. The quarterback instead received a homeopathic immunization treatment which is not recognized as being...
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19—and multiple reports say that he’s still unvaccinated, despite him strongly suggesting over the summer that he’d been jabbed. The positive result means Rodgers will miss Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs, as will practice quarterback Kurt Benkert, who also tested positive, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported. That will leave the team solely with Jordan Love, who joined last year, to start the game. Rodgers will be eligible to return on Nov. 13 after a 10-day quarantine. Requests for comment to Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers were not immediately returned. Rodgers has yet to clarify his vaccination status, but NFL Network reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Wednesday that Rodgers has not received a shot. That’s despite the player being asked in August if he was vaccinated, and responding, “Yeah, I’ve been immunized.” He said at the time he was not going to judge players who opted not to receive a shot. “It’s a personal decision,” he said during the Aug. 26 press conference. Rodgers...
Getty Mike Tomlin looks on from the sideline during the Packers-Steelers game at Lambeau Field. Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin shot Aaron Rodgers a loving I-see-what-you-tried-to-do-there look in the early goings of Pittsburgh’s battle with the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. Rodgers returned Tomlin’s affection with a nod and a grin. The shared glances immediately went viral and became the exchange seen around the world. The Packers quarterback has been around the block a few times and has a habit of getting free plays simply by snapping the ball as opposing defenses make substitutions. Rodgers saw the Steelers had 12 men on the field and attempted a quick snap. Tomlin saw what was about to go down and got a timeout called before the snap, forgoing what would’ve been a costly too-many-men penalty. Two can play at that game. When ESPN’s Brooke Pryor asked Tomlin at his weekly press conference about the exchange, this is what he had to say: “It’s chess, not checkers. If you’re a competitor, you love being in that environment; you love pitting your...
Scientists race to save Florida coral reef from mysterious disease Former NYT CEO, celebrated Filipino editor to lead new independent media fund For as long as anyone could remember, the Pittsburgh Steelers weren’t curving to the trends in the NFL when it came to guaranteed money in contract extensions. Eventually, they recognized that special players require special measures, forking over $80 million in guarantees to T.J. Watt earlier this month. When the offseason comes, it will be time to follow suit — by expending some valuable draft picks to fix the quarterback position. If there’s any franchise situated to make a quick turn into the Super Bowl lane (a la Tampa Bay in 2020) it’s the Steelers. And if there’s any veteran quarterback who can make that happen (a la Tom Brady with those Buccaneers), it’s Aaron Rodgers. The same Rodgers whom Pittsburgh faces Sunday when the Steelers visit the Green Bay Packers. And the same Rodgers who still has 14 regular-season games and the playoffs to think about his future, which reportedly rests in the quarterback’s hands when...
Is Shailene Woodley hinting at something? The "Big Little Lies" actress — who is engaged to NFL star Aaron Rodgers — sent fans into a tizzy on Wednesday when she posted a captionless black-and-white photo of baby feet on her Instagram Story. Aaron Rodgers’ absence from the Green Bay Packers was in part due to the organization’s resistance to his input in the team. While he’s back on the field, his latest plea to bring back veteran linebacker Clay Matthews seems to have fallen on deaf ears.  Rodgers, and several other teammates, took to social media last week to make a pitch for the Packers to "bring (Matthews) back" but General Manager Brian Gutekunst quickly dismissed any rumors of a possible return on Sunday.  PACKERS’ AARON RODGERS WILL JOIN SAINTS IN 2022, FORMER TEAMMATE SAYS "We've had no discussions about that," he said. Gutekunst’s comment could mean a few things. It could mean they haven’t discussed the issue yet with Rodgers or it could mean that it’s not going to happen.  CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM It’s unclear if Rodgers’ request was a legitimate one, unlike his pitch to bring in Randall Cobb, but the Packers are on thin ice with the reigning league MVP.  Rodgers said of his months-long standoff with the team that a big reason he...
Green Bay fans were left in the dark for months regarding Aaron Rodgers' future with the team but there was at least one person in the Packers camp who was kept in the loop.  Rodgers said Wednesday that he regularly kept in contact with backup quarterback Jordan Love during his months-long standoff with the Packers front office because he knew the outcome of the situation would directly impact the trajectory of his career – a situation he was familiar with when he served as backup to Brett Favre.  Aaron Rodgers #12 of the Green Bay Packers walks across the field in the second quarter against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the NFC Championship game at Lambeau Field on January 24, 2021 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Green Bay Packers WR Jake Kumerow (Photo by Dylan Buell/Getty Images) If it truly is Aaron Rodgers’ “Last Dance” in Green Bay, here are three former teammates the Packers should consider bringing back. The 29-year-old wide receiver is currently a member with the Buffalo Bills. If Rodgers wants Kumerow back, the Packers will likely have to surrender a late-round draft pick to the Bills, much like they did with the Texans to get Cobb. So much for all that. After months of speculation and a near-daily media firestorm surrounding Aaron Rodgers’ status with the Packers, the reigning NFL MVP officially arrived in Green Bay late Monday night. The Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay Packers saga may officially be put to rest after all. The reigning NFL MVP is expected to suit up for the Packers in 2021 as the two sides continue to work toward the final stages of a reworked contract before the start of training camp on Tuesday, according to multiple reports. ESPN reported that the new agreement would help set up Rodgers’ departure from Green Bay. The quarterback was originally set to become a free agent after the 2023 season. CLICK HERE FOR MORE SPORTS COVERAGE ON FOXNEWS.COM The two sides are in the final stages of addressing some of Rodgers’ issues with the organization, according to ESPN. It includes voiding the final year on his current deal, and that he cannot be hit with the franchise tag in the future. Rodgers’ current contract will likely be adjusted. He won’t lose any money, but it will free up some cap room for the Packers. Green Bay will also need to agree to review Rodgers’ situation at the conclusion of the 2021 season. If Packers...

The Broncos didn’t select a quarterback during the 2021 NFL Draft. Despite being on the clock at No. 9 with Justin Fields and Mac Jones on the board, the team opted to go with cornerback Patrick Surtain II with its first selection. After that, the team chose not to add another quarterback to the fray, ensuring that either Drew Lock or the newly acquired Teddy Bridgewater would be the starter during the ’21 season. So, why would the Broncos’ Super Bowl betting odds improve so much in the wake of the draft without the team making a massive upgrade at the quarterback spot?
