Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Ricky Rubio delivered an exhilarating comeback win against the Detroit Pistons, showing the Team Spain version of himself.  The Boston Celtics maybe 6-7, but they nearly had another win on Saturday night when facing the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cavaliers played up from behind, staging an incredible 91-89 comeback win at the hands of Spanish point guard Ricky Rubio. “If we wanted a shot at it, I felt like he was going to be the one to help us get there,” Cavaliers head coach J.B. Bickerstaff said. But Rubio hadn’t been playing all game, as Isaac Okoro was the one playing for an injured Collin Sexton. The Cavs were coming off four out of five empty possessions and two turnovers. It was time for Rubio to have his moment. With 9:32 left in the third quarter, Rubio checked in and changed the game. Sitting at a 15-point deficit when he entered the game,  Rubio helped his team outscore Boston by 17 points in the final 21:32 of the game. As the veteran point guard facilitating the offense, Rubio...

Stefanski didn’t deny it, either with a perfunctory comment or a Mike Tomlin mic drop. Instead, here’s what Stefanski said: “I would just tell you, again, today he’s excused, and we’ll see where this goes.” That’s telling. Very telling. Stefanski was asked whether he told the team that Odell is no longer part of it, and Stefanski didn’t deny it. That’s basically an admission. And, indeed, a league source tells PFT that Stefanski did indeed make that statement to the team today. It’s also telling that Stefanski said he hasn’t spoken to Beckham in the last 24 hours....
Odell Beckham Jr. has reportedly been told to stay home by the Browns. According to Michael Silver, the talented wide receiver has been told to stay away from the franchise for the time being and head coach Kevin Stefanski informed the roster that OBJ is essentially not with the team for the time being. Now, he’s been told to stay away from the team for at least a bit. That would seem to indicate there might be a split coming in the very near future. I’m told #Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. has been told he’s excused from practice today, per league source. Additionally, it is my understanding that OBJ...

Trump's lawyer, John Eastman, continued to pressure Pence to overturn the election, even after Trump supporters stormed the Capitol. Afghanistan's women's football players say they are at risk of becoming sex slaves to the Taliban and being tortured to death. Football is highly popular in Afghanistan with national stars enjoying a large profile thanks to both men and women's games being broadcast on TV, making the players highly visible targets for the new regime. During Taliban rule in 1996 to 2001, many sports and recreational activities including football were banned for all citizens, while women were forbidden from even leaving the house without being accompanied by a male relative and were often subjected to horrific sexual attacks. Now the international stars, many of whom are in hiding, say they fear being captured and beaten by the militants. Goalkeeping coach Wida Zemarai told Swedish news outlet Expressen: 'It's awful to think about. They themselves have said they are there to do jihad and that they choose girls as sex slaves. 'Should the Taliban get hold of any of the girls, they will not have them lying at home like dolls. They want to use them as sex slaves and torture them. Maybe...
The Spanish players could not hide the satisfaction of having fulfilled the first objective with which they arrived in Japan, which was to qualify for the quarterfinals after beating Argentina. It is only a first step on a long road, as pointed out Ricky Rubio, the best player of the national team against the albiceleste. “I’m comfortable, I’m calm playing and it shows. We played a dog-face game, as they say. We have not gone as we want at the beginning but then we have recovered a bit, “acknowledged the point guard, who does not want to hear about ‘Rickydependencia’ in the team.” You like to say that. But in basketball there are many details that are not noticed in the statistics and without them we would not win. My score can be highlighted, but in the offensive fouls that we have forced, Claver has been amazing again … I think a National Team is not a player. By ROB MAADDI, AP Pro Football Writer The NFL plans to review Eugene Chung’s allegations that a team official made discriminatory comments during his interview for a coaching position. Chung, a 1992 first-round pick by New England who played five seasons in the league and served as an assistant coach for a decade, told The Boston Globe he was told he was “not the right minority” by an interviewer. Chung, who is Korean American, didn’t identify the team. “We will review the matter,” NFL spokesman Brian McCarthy said in a statement. “That comment is completely inappropriate and contrary to league values and workplace policies. The NFL and its clubs are committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all personnel in a manner that is consistent with our commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.” Chung most recently was part of Philadelphia’s coaching staff from 2016-19. The NFL has worked hard to increase the number of minority coaches in the league. However, despite having played five years in the league and having ten years of NFL coaching experience, Chung, who is of Korean descent, found out in an interview that the league’s commitment to hiring minorities didn’t apply to him. “It was said to me, ‘Well, you’re really not a minority,’” Chung told the Boston Globe. “I was like, ‘Wait a minute. Griezmann has scored twice for Barca so far in 2020-21 and has readily admitted that he needs to improve as he is “failing in front of goal,” as reported by Goal. Follow...

Ellen DeGeneres reportedly told her staff to keep silent as the controversy continues to escalate around her alleged poor treatment of the people behind the scenes of the wildly popular The Ellen Show. An insider told OK Magazine that people working on the show have essentially been issued a gag order, though it doesn’t carry the legal weight that an official non-disclosure agreement would carry. Currently, Warner Brothers are conducting an internal investigation to determine if there has been any inappropriate behavior on the part of Ellen or her management team after numerous reports emerged detailing shocking allegations of cruelty, racism, and sexual harassment behind the scenes. One former producer, Hedda Muskat, says that Ellen herself is partially responsible for the toxic culture that many workers are experiencing, as The Inquisitr previously reported. She said that the titular host cultivated an environment in which producers and other management treated workers in ways that surprised her. But instead of speaking to reporters, workers are being told to reach out to their management. “The staff are being told not to talk to...
Members of the Colorado State Rams have reportedly been told not to report coronavirus symptoms. According to Coloradoan.com, members of the football team have been told by coaches to not report coronavirus symptoms, and have been threatened with a cut in playing time if they sit out for being sick or needing to isolate. The player didn’t come to practice the next day, and the damage was potentially already done if he had the virus. However, several players hit back at the claims on social media, and more or less debunked the story as nonsense. As disturbing as the Colorado State report is, there are a lot of CSU players who say the story has some major issues. pic.twitter.com/dC5XKetZad — Kevin Sweeney (@CBB_Central) August...
