A stream in Waipio, Oahu, Hawaii, was found to contain 1.2% alcohol content after a spill from a plant belonging to the state’s largest distributor of alcoholic beverages.(Photo by Chris J Ratcliffe/Getty Images) If you’ve ever complained about a particularly low-flavor light beer “tasting like water,” now you can do a taste-test comparison with a slightly alcoholic river, which is just a flight to the Hawaiian island of Oahu away. Visitors to a certain stream in Waipio, Oahu, noticed that the whole area had begun to smell like beer. Hawaii News Now had a sample of the water tested by FQ Labs and found that as much as 1.2% of the water was alcoholic. The water also contained sugar, which made up about 0.4% of the water. “The other day we came here you would think it was a beer pub that hadn’t opened its doors for three or four days,” said environmental activist Carroll Cox, who tipped off the Department of Health to the issue, according to Hawaii News Now. “It’s disturbing.” The Cause The alcohol and sugar content...
Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani went full MAGA on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks when, during a rambling speech at the Mid-Town Manhattan restaurant Cipriani, he mocked the Queen of England's British accent and slammed Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Mark Milley as well as President Joe Biden. The Daily Mail has reported on how much Giuliani had to drink before his speech, and the long-time Donald Trump ally, in a statement to the publication, stressed that he doesn't have a drinking problem. During an interview with the Daily Mail on September 12, Giuliani said, "'Yes, I had a scotch. But I was not drunk. There is a deliberate attempt (by) the left wing to paint me that way." Giuliani also told the Mail, "Yes, of course, I had a scotch at the beginning of dinner. Beyond that, I didn't have — it was watered down. Not even sure I drank the whole damn thing." >@RudyGiuliani via Daily Mail: "I'm not an alcoholic … I’m a functioning, I probably function more effectively th… https://t.co/Fs93QD0he1...
Mandel Ngan/AFP/Getty Images Rudy Giuliani has an important message to get out: He is NOT an alcoholic. The former New York City mayor — and personal attorney to former President Donald Trump — has earned something of a reputation for … interesting appearances in public and numerous reports that he was not afraid to imbibe in a libation from time-to-time. His Saturday night rant at Cipriani Wall Street that politicized 9/11, on the 20th anniversary of 9/11, raised issues that perhaps he was under the influence during a speech that many believed to mock Queen Elizabeth and definitely called General Mark Milley an asshole. In an exclusive interview with DailyMail.com, Giuliani denied mocking the Queen even though he spoke with a British accent and said,”‘You did a wonderful job on Sept. 11. And therefore, I’m making you an honorary knight, commander of the royal something or other.” When pressed on if he had been drinking, Giuliani told the Daily Mail, “Yes I had a Scotch. But I was not drunk,” He then continued by blasting the left for what he sees...
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani is furiously denying accusations he was drunk during a speech at Cipriani the evening of September 11th where he imitated the Queen – saying he only had one Scotch and that he is the victim of a left-wing effort to disparage him. ‘Yes I had a Scotch. But I was not drunk. There is a deliberate attempt [by] the left wing to paint me that way,’ he told DailyMail.com in an interview Sunday evening. He also denied mocking the Queen when he made comments, captured on video, where he adopted a faux English accent and said: ‘You did a wonderful job on Sept. 11. And therefore I’m making you an honorary knight, commander of the royal something or other.' ‘That was a serious speech. To say I mocked anybody is outrageous. And that I was drunk is completely, completely wrong,’ said Giuliani. In addition to explaining his comments – made at an evening event on the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11th attacks that established his brand as ‘America’s mayor’ long before he sought...

One is an icon whose searingly honest writing has earned her millions, who’s weathered a high-profile divorce, spoken candidly about post-partum blues and gone through a public physical reinvention. And so is the other. Yet while we’ve all heard of the multi-award-winning pop star Adele, the name Glennon Doyle probably meant little to the British public. Until, that is, this weekend, when the singer herself introduced us to the bestselling American author with whom she shares uncanny parallels. In a rare Instagram post, Adele waxed lyrical about Glennon’s recently published third memoir, Untamed: Stop Pleasing, Start Living. It was, she promised her followers, a book that ‘will shake your brain and make your soul scream’ — and one that had made her ‘ready for myself’, as she put it, after years of feeling ‘stressed and dishevelled’. ‘I never knew that I am solely responsible for my own joy, happiness and freedom!’ Glennon Doyle, she concluded, was an ‘absolute don’.
