FIFA 22 have announced the Spanish ratings for this year's game and it's not good news for cash-strapped Barcelona. He will defend the belt against Bandido, which is a matchup that should be a wonderful clash of styles. Rush is ruthless and violent in the ring, willing to win at all costs. That is a stark contrast from Bandido, the masked luchador who has an incredibly captivating approach in the ring as a babyface.                       by Ted O’Neil  As the country continues to climb back from more than a year of an economic downward spiral during the COVID-19 pandemic, cities in states with Republican-led governors that imposed fewer restrictions are experiencing a faster and more robust comeback. A study by WalletHub ranked the top 180 cities in the country to determine where economic recovery is occurring. The financial analytics firm used four key metrics to find out where workers have been the least and most impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. They looked at the change in each city’s unemployment rate for May, which is the last month available, then compared that to May 2019, January 2020 and May 2020. The differences between the top and bottom 10 primarily come down to policy decisions. The top 10 cities are all in states led by Republican governors, where lockdown restrictions during the pandemic were less extreme and not as lengthy. The bottom 10 cities are in states led by Democratic governors where lockdowns tended to be severe and lengthy,...

The Oscar for Best Picture is set to be handed to the lowest grossing top movie in the award show's 93 year history on Sunday evening.   The night's top prize is widely expected to go to Chloé Zhao's Nomadland starring Frances McDormand.   Should it be victorious, it will become the lowest grossing Best Picture ever after making around $2.5 million Deadline reports. That's a record currently held by Kathryn Bigelow’s 2009 title The Hurt Locker which grossed $17 million.   It will also be one of the lowest budget best-picture winners ever. Zhao's film, populated by mostly nonprofessional actors, was made for less than $5 million. Her next film, Marvel's Eternals, has a budget of at least $200 million. Even if it does not take home the top gong, the other movies nominated in the category also saw low returns at the box office.  The biggest ticket-seller of the best picture nominees is Promising Young Woman, with $6.3 million in box office.   Judas and the Black Messiah is said to have grossed $5.4 million, Minari $2.57 million and The Father $1.6 million.  Mank,...

"'Best of the worst' is not a viable strategy, nor does it satisfy shareholders like us seeking long-term superior performance." Jones hopes France bear brunt of England learning World Cup lesson How to avoid going broke over the holidays CNBC’s Jim Cramer says these ‘best in show’ stocks remain the place for your investment dollars © Getty Images KEY WORDS Load Error That’s CNBC’s Jim Cramer making the bullish case this week for Facebook , Apple , Amazon , Netflix and Google parent Alphabet even as the “smart money” keeps pushing the idea that it’s time to move out of Big Tech and into value plays. “I’m so sick of hearing that it’s time to rotate into the small caps, or the oils, or the cyclical smokestack stocks,” Cramer said. As you can see, November was a huge month for the Dow Jones Industrial Average , S&P 500 and Nasdaq Composite but the small-cap Russell 2000 outperformed them all. Still, Cramer is looking for the FAANG group, which mostly lagged the averages last month, to continue to drive the upside as it has for much of the year. The big tech names have cashed in on...
John Michael Higgins never set out to be a comedian, but he was so good at it that it stuck. “The only reason I’m still working as a comedian is because I have never approached the job of comedy as a comic,” he says on this week’s episode of The Last Laugh podcast. “I just play the scenes. I just play the need and the bigger the need in comedy, the funnier it is.” The 57-year-old character actor may not be a household name, but he has an unmistakable face—especially for fans of his work in Christopher Guest’s films, starting with Best in Show. In that movie, Higgins played the younger and more flamboyant half of a Shih Tzu-owning gay couple with Michael McKean, a part he doubts he would be asked to play today. But 20 years after that film’s release, he has somehow transformed himself into the comedy world’s go-to over-the-hill white guy. Which is how he ended up playing the new Mr. Belding—AKA Principal Ronald Toddman—on 2020’s big Saved by the Bell reboot, streaming now on Peacock....
