Kyle Rittenhouse has opened up about his trial, revealing that he knew the 'state didn't have a case' against him when 'they put Dominic Black on the stand.'  Rittenhouse, 18, appeared on the Charlie Kirk Show on Tuesday to discuss his infamous case after he was acquitted earlier this month for fatally shooting two men and injuring another at the Kenosha protests.  During the hour-long interview, the teen discussed the risk of taking the stand instead of pleading the Fifth, but explained he 'wanted the world to know who the real Kyle Rittenhouse was.'  He told the conservative host that he had been 'freaking out' during the run up to the trial, despite his remarkably calm composure in court, but he felt the tide turn in his favor when the prosecution called his friend Black - who purchased the AR-15 Rittenhouse used in Kenosha with the teen's money. He explained that he knew then that there wasn't a case against him because the prosecution was banking on Black to 'lie,' he claimed.  Kyle Rittenhouse has opened up about his trial, revealing that...
At 95, film-maker and comedian Mel Brooks has won every award in showbiz, including Emmys, Grammys, Tonys, an Oscar and a Bafta Fellowship. But as he reveals in his autobiography, out later this week, he grew up in the heart of New York’s garment industry and says: ‘Movies saved my life. They rescued my soul.’ Here, he tells how he owes his success to superstars including Peter Sellers and Liza Minnelli . . .  One night, at about two in the morning, I was awakened by pebbles being tossed against my bedroom window. I opened it to see what was going on. When I did, I got hit with a few. There, down on the street, was Dustin Hoffman. Before I could say: ‘What the hell are you doing?’ he shouted: ‘Come down! We have to talk.’ He wasn’t famous yet. He actually lived on my block in Greenwich Village, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. This was 1967, and I’d just signed Dustin to play a demented, Nazi-loving playwright in a musical comedy I planned to call Springtime For Hitler....
WHEN it comes to style and beauty icons, Mr. Bean isn’t exactly top of the list. So when Fabiola Baglieri found herself with the nickname of “Mr Bean’s daughter”, she was less than pleased. 3Fabiola Baglieri took to TikTok to bemoan her 'Mr Bean's daughter' nicknameCredit: @fabiola.baglieri/Tiktok 3Her transformations are so incredible that men struggle to believe they're realCredit: @fabiola.baglieri/Tiktok “Imagine being Mr Bean’s daughter… what a nightmare!” she wrote on a make-up free video posted on TikTok. But instead of willingly accepting the comparison, Fabiola has taken to sharing videos of her amazing glow ups on the social media site – with the transformations so incredible that men have even started commenting that the videos have made them distrusting of women. “300% make-up! Make-up makes miracles! I can’t trust girls!” one guy commented, with Fabiola using the remark as the basis of another TikTok video in which she transformed herself from plain and make-up free into a glamorous, red lipstick-wearing hottie. Commenting on the video, one person wrote: “Guys always say they can’t trust how girls look if...
A Colorado police department faces an internal investigation after they let an armed kidnapping gang keep an innocent man they abducted from his home to extort the victim's family. On November 4 Brandon Sharp, 34, William Holland, 40, and three other men stormed 25-year old Jose Salguero-Martinez' apartment in Aurora claiming to be bounty hunters and proceeded to extort his family for thousands of dollars for his release, police said.  They did so by claiming Salguero-Martinez was wanted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, it is claimed, although ICE says there was no such warrant out for the victim.  Holland uploaded a portion of his alleged crime to the Instagram FRA Investigations with the caption: 'This guy ran from New York since 2015, 6 years later here we are.' Jose Salguero-Martinez, pictured, was abducted by a gang of armed men claiming to be bounty hunters working on behalf of ICE in Denver earlier this month  Salguero-Martinez was bundled into a hotel by the five men - but Denver Police failed to rescue him when called, with the kidnapping now said to have...
A Virginia university has placed a trans professor on administrative leave after they sparked outrage for claiming it is not immoral for adults to be sexually attracted to children.  'Old Dominion University has placed Dr. Allyn Walker on administrative leave, effective immediately, from their position as assistant professor of sociology and criminal justice,' the university's spokesperson, Amber Kennedy, said in a statement on Tuesday.  Walker, a tenure-track assistant professor at Old Dominion, had penned a controversial book attempting to destigmatize pedophilia titled A Long Dark Shadow: Minor-Attracted People and Their Pursuit of Dignity, published by the University of California Press.  Walker, who uses the pronouns they/them, said in a recent online interview with the Prostasia Foundation, a child advocacy group that promotes child sex doll usage for pedophiles, that pedophiles did not ask to be sexually attracted to children.   Kennedy said that the online backlash had led to concerns for Walker's safety and that of the campus, and placing them on leave was the best course of action.   'Furthermore, the controversy over Dr. Walker's research has disrupted the campus and community environment...

Arbery, 25, is seen in the 45-second clip around the back of a 'dream second home' being constructed by Larry English, 51 – located two houses away from the McMichaels. The surveillance footage, taken on October 25, 2019, was played for the jury as they watched a four-hour recorded deposition by construction boss English, who is terminally ill.  Arbery, dressed in shorts and a t-shirt, strolls around the...

Boston Celtics center Enes Kanter unloaded on the government of China once again on Wednesday. Last month he called President Xi Jinping a “brutal dictator” called for a “free Tibet,” which prompted the Chinese government to ban Celtics games from airing in the country. “NBA made me do this,” Kanter told CNN’s Christine Amanpour on Wednesday. “Because every time when one of the NBA teams or the commissioner came out [to] speak, they say we are encouraging our players to talk about whatever they want to talk about. We are giving the freedom to our players to talk about all the injustices happening around the world, all the human rights abuses around the world. So, they gave me this right. They told me to do this, basically.” Kanter said he met with NBA commissioner Adam Silver and asked him, “Am I breaking any rules?” “He said, ‘No, you’re not breaking any rules.'” The Celtics big man said Silver told him the NBA backs him. “‘We are supporting you against China,'” Kanter quoted – or at least paraphrased – Silver as...
ONE woman has revealed that her boyfriend has a problem with her hosting girls night, accusing her of being sexist for not allowing him to join. "He called and asked what we will be doing on Friday and I said I wanted to host a GNI since it was my turn. He asked what the heck was a GNI, I said a girls night in and he got quiet then asked if I was being serious." The woman's boyfriend got very annoyed with her saying that hosting such an event is so outdated, "so 1950s", and that it was "flat...
Getty Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen on the bench during his team's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars on November 7, 2021. The Buffalo Bills‘ week nine loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars was arguably the biggest upset of the NFL season. Not only have the Bills spent much of the fall as one of, if not the favorite in the AFC, but the Jags entered action on Sunday at a pitiful 1-6. If Meghan Markle thought cold-calling Republican senators to persuade them to sign up to paid family leave policies would be a breeze, or even a good idea, she has been proven wrong. Online criticism has inevitably followed, especially as she introduced herself using her royal title, the Duchess of Sussex. Politico reported that Meghan had called both Sen. Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) and Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine). The former said, “And she goes, ‘Senator Capito?… This is Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex,’” Capito recalled to Politico. “I couldn’t figure out how she got my number,” Capito said. (New York Democrat Senator Kirsten Gillibrand reportedly shared the two senators’ phone numbers with Meghan.) “Much to my surprise, she called me on my private line and she introduced herself as the Duchess of Sussex, which is kind of ironic,” Collins said, referring to how Meghan and Harry have set themselves up in a new life far away from the palace—while criticizing royal life, most infamously in the interview they gave to Oprah Winfrey.
U.S. Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday expressed her outrage over being fined $48,000 for not following House rules by refusing to wear a mask at least 20 times. On Wednesday the Georgia Republican lawmaker revealed for the first time she is not vaccinated, calling those mandating the vaccine "Nazis" and "fascists." "Democrat members don't wear masks in the members gym when they work out. None of us do & no one should. Why do I get fined for not wearing a mask when I'm sitting in a chair on the House floor the same as people eating unmasked at a restaurant?" tweeted Greene, apparently ignorant of how to not spread COVID-19, especially if you are unvaccinated. When asked about vaccine mandates, Greene unleashed a torrent of Third Reich rhetoric. "They are the fascists," Greene told Trump strategist, former campaign manager and former White House senior advisor Steve Bannon, as Daily Mail reports. "They have called us 'fascists' and have called us 'Nazis' for like five years now, and I'm fed up with it, because that's exactly who they are."...

Greta Thunberg criticized world leaders for not acting on so-called “climate change” in a tirade to fellow COP26 protesters on Monday. The Daily Mail reported: Government representatives have gathered in Glasgow to discuss green issues this week, with Prime Minister Boris Johnson using his opening address to compare the situation to James Bond trying to diffuse a ‘doomsday device’. US President Joe Biden, Germany’s Angela Merkel and President Emmanuel Macron of France are among those gathering at the event in an attempt to foster international cooperation on climate change. While speaking at a protest in Festival Park on the first day of the summit, Thunberg said heads of government were not doing everything they could to save the planet. “No more blah blah blah, no more whatever the f*** they are doing inside there,” she said. “Inside Cop, there are just politicians and people in power pretending to take our future seriously, pretending to take the present seriously. Change is not going to come from inside there, that is not leadership – this is leadership… We say no more blah blah blah, no...

Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” Princeton University professor and network contributor Eddie Glaude, Jr. said that the judge who decided the deceased should not be called victims during the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse shows the criminal justice system has bias. Co-host Mika Brzezinski said, “The judge in the trial of Kyle Rittenhouse, the teenager who shot and killed two protesters last year in Kenosha, Wisconsin, during a protest against police brutality has ruled prosecutors cannot refer to the people he killed as victims. But the defense is allowed to call them arsonists or looters, or rioters. While laying the ground rules for the upcoming trial, Judge Bruce Schroeder said, ‘The word victim is a loaded word. And I think alleged victim is a cousin to it. Rittenhouse faces multiple felony charges of homicide and recklessly endangering the safety of others, among other charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all charges. The incident occurred after a white Kenosha police officer shot and injured a black man named Jacob Blake as he was attempting to enter his car. During Tuesday’s broadcast of “America’s Newsroom” on Fox News Channel, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) called on the Biden administration to “face the disaster” they created at the U.S.-Mexico border. Cruz described the ongoing border crisis as an “absolute tragedy” and “absolute disaster” resulting from President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris undoing the previous administration’s border policy. “What is happening at our southern border is an absolute tragedy,” Cruz outlined. “We’ve had over 1.3 million people cross illegally; we are on the path to have over 2 million people cross. And Joe Biden and Kamala Harris caused this. And their entire strategy is ignore it. And they are counting on the corrupt corporate media to ignore it as well. So, of course, they fly in the middle of the night because they have no defense. Every Democrat who for four years said, ‘Kids in cages. Kids in cages,’ the Biden cages are bigger, and they’re more full, and not a single Democrat cares. It is an absolute disaster. And I’ve got to tell you — my home state of...

Back in the 1960s and 1970s, the term "male chauvinist pig" was the ultimate insult from feminists. It isn't a term that is used a lot among modern-day feminists and Millennials. But Texas Tech history professor Julie Willett, in an article for Mother Jones' November/December issue, stresses that "male chauvinist pigs" are alive and well in 2021. "It would be hard to deny today that the male chauvinist pig is still alive and kicking, running amok in his own filth," Willett argues. "The election of Donald Trump and his 'grab 'em by the pussy' regime mixed misogyny, mockery, and race privilege with delight. (Former New York Gov.) Andrew Cuomo's domineering behavior in politics echoed his sexually belittling actions in private. Both were proud of being jerks, personally and professionally, and both got called 'male chauvinist pigs.'" The term "male chauvinist pig" had a lot of bite during the Gloria Steinem/Betty Friedan era of feminism. And the Archie Bunker character on Norman Lear's 1970s sitcom "All in the Family" was a textbook example of a fictional "male chauvinist pig" in pop...
Podcast host Joe Rogan grilled Dr Sanjay Gupta - CNN's chief medical correspondent - over the network's repeated assertions that he took 'horse de-wormer' after a doctor prescribed him Ivermectin to treat his COVID-19. Rogan, 54, drew criticism from major news outlets and Dr Anthony Fauci when he revealed he took the anti-parasite drug in an Instagram video last month.  Studies have shown that Ivermectin decreases viral loads and may prevent COVID deaths, but the Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control recommend against using it for COVID, saying better studies are needed. On Wednesday, Gupta appeared on Rogan's podcast to discuss the use of Ivermectin against COVID. After a tense back-and-forth, Gupta eventually agreed that his colleagues shouldn't have referred to the drug as 'horse de-wormer.' Rogan recovered last month after what he called a 'kitchen sink' approach. On Wednesday's episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, the former UFC color commentator repeatedly pressed Gupta on his coworkers' claims that he took animal drugs.  Joe Rogan and CNN's Dr Sanjay Gupta debated the coverage of the antiparastic Ivermectin ...

The party that would have allowed a debt default thinks Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer shouldn't have been so 'partisan' about it. Senate Republicans angrily denounced Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on Thursday night for a speech calling them out for nearly forcing an unprecedented national default. They claimed his speech was too "partisan." "There's a time to be graceful & there's a time to be combative, and that was the time for grace," scolded Utah Sen. Mitt Romney after the Senate narrowly averted a debt crisis of the GOP's own making. "I thought was totally out of line," Senate Minority Whip John Thune told an NBC News reporter. "I just thought it was incredibly partisan speech after we had just helped them solve a problem. I let them have it." "I thought it was unnecessarily partisan," agreed Ohio Sen. Rob Portman. "Classless speech," South Dakota Sen. Mike Rounds told CNN. They were upset at Schumer for his floor remarks — made after 11 Republicans joined all 50 Democrats in voting to...

Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham's new book is packed with condemnations of power couple Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump – and claims they meddled and muddied the early response to the coronavirus pandemic. She writes in her new tell-all book that Kushner's 'arrogance and presumption had grown over the years, and he threw his power about with absolutely no shame.'  'He was Rasputin in a slim-fitting suit,' she writes of Trump's son-in-law. Grisham, a longtime Trump aide who later served as chief of staff to former first lady Melania Trump, writes that Kushner often took over meetings – even when Vice President Mike Pence was there – as the 'real' chief of staff. But she and Melania Trump also sometimes dissed Javanka as 'the interns' for their tendency to jump into all manner of subjects in the White House.  Former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham and first lady Melania Trump would call Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump the 'interns' for their role as 'know-it-alls,' according to Grisham 'When I worked for the first lady in the East...
Pedro Martinez hasn’t thrown a pitch in the majors since 2009, but when it comes to blasting umpires, he’s still in his prime. On Tuesday, the MLB Tonight crew was taking a live look-in at a game between the San Francisco Giants and Arizona Diamondbacks, where D-Backs pitcher Luke Weaver was on the mound with the bases loaded. As they looked on, Martinez and fellow MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds wondered why Weaver wasn’t being called for a balk for not pausing after coming into the set position. When an umpire rules a pitcher has balked, each baserunner moves up one base. Reynolds and Martinez watched incredulously as no umpire called a balk on Weaver. “That’s gotta be a balk!” exclaimed Reynolds. Martinez replied, “But the umpire does not understand the kind of movement he’s making.” “So, we meet with umpires before the season starts,” said host Greg Amsinger. “And they talk to all the broadcasters.  We bring this up every year, and what we hear from the umpiring side of the argument is, as long as the motion is consistent...
Brian Laundrie's parents insist they don't know where their son is - 11 days after he mysteriously vanished while being investigated by police.  Laundrie disappeared September 17, after he was named as a 'person of interest' in the homicide case of his girlfriend, Gabby Petito.  Laundrie's parents, Chris and Roberta, reported him missing on that day. On Monday, their attorney released a statement dismissing innuendo that they may have helped their son go on the run.  'The speculation by the public and some in the press that the parents assisted Brian in leaving the family home or in avoiding arrest... is just wrong,' attorney Steve Bertolino stated.  'They do not know where Brian is. They are concerned about Brian and hope the FBI can locate him.' The statement was released on the same day that it was revealed Roberta called cops on Duane 'Dog The Bounty Hunter' Chapman after showed up outside her North Port, Florida home on Saturday. General Mark Milley on Friday defended his calls to his Chinese counterpart during the final months of Donald Trump's presidency as 'perfectly within the duties and responsibilities' of his job as chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Milley made his first public comments on revelations he called Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People's Liberation Army to reassure him the U.S. was not going to suddenly attack China.  The general was blasted by the former president and several conservatives for his conversations and accused of breaking the chain of command. Milley told reporters traveling with him the calls are 'routine' and were done 'to reassure both allies and adversaries in this case in order to ensure strategic stability.' He said he would discuss the matter in greater detail later, when he testifies before Congress later in September. Milley is traveling to Athens to participate in a NATO conference.  'I think it's best that I reserve my comments on the record until I do that in front of the lawmakers who have the lawful responsibility to oversee the U.S. military,' Milley said....

Google has banned Sky News Australia from uploading content to YouTube for one week after the news platform allegedly breached its rules on spreading so-called 'Covid misinformation'. According to the channel, the videos that provoked the censorship included  'debates around whether masks were effective and whether lockdowns were justified when considering their adverse health outcomes'.   And it cited its commentators who argue 'masks are not effective in containing outbreaks, particularly when mandated outside in the fresh air' and take issue with 'the frequency and mechanisms of locking down Australians.'  It pointed out the  science on both of these points is not settled.  The move comes as Australia's 'Zero Covid' strategy that aims to completely eliminate the virus shows signs of buckling.    Professor Bruce Robinson, chairman of Australia's National Health and Medical Research Council, admitted that the nation's chance of succedsfully eliminating the Indian Delta Covid variant was 'close to zero'.   He said: 'The chance of eliminating this is close to zero - there are many people I have spoken to who share that view.
