Royal babies are traditionally christened with the water but the act of Prince Charles bringing the water back himself is truly unique. Asked about members of the Royal Family being baptised with the water, the Director General of the Baptism Site, Rustom Mkhjian, told the Daily Mail: "This time the Embassy people asked for a few dozens [bottles] of Holy water and we provided them with five dozen, six dozen, prior to this trip." It was a defiant choice widely interpreted as a form of vengeance. MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) – A St. Paul man has been charged in connection to a drive-by shooting in Roseville this summer. Charles Ginyard, 28, faces a drive-by-shooting charge and a charge of assault with a dangerous weapon in Ramsey County. According to the complaint, on June 5, a man said he received a box of drugs to his residence in St. Paul. He was later jumped by two men, who stole his vehicle. On the way to report the stolen car, the man and his wife stopped at the Hillsborough Apartments on the 2300 block of Woodbridge Street to drop off their kids with their grandmother. There, while his wife was dropping off her kids, she heard three gunshots and saw a black Jeep. She recognized the driver as Ginyard, and another man was in the back seat. The complaint says the man shot at her husband, who drove away from the parking lot. When she found her husband, he had a cut on his rib from broken glass, but he had not been shot. When interviewed later by police, the man...

Cincinnati Reds legend Pete Rose, who has the most hits in MLB history, has made it clear that he isn’t a fan of players who strike out a lot.  In a recent interview with USA Today, Rose spoke about the New York Yankees and the team’s AL Wild Card loss to the Boston Red Sox. Rose blasted the team’s lineup, specifically slugger Joey Gallo. They had to have [Aaron] Judge and [Giancarlo] Stanton do something. If they didn’t hit, all of the pressure was on Joey Gallo. You saw how that worked out." Pete Rose rips Yankees’ slugger Joey Gallo: ‘Ray Charles wouldn’t strike out that much’ Andres Chavez October 14, 2021 Share on facebook Facebook Share on twitter Twitter Share on reddit Reddit The New York Yankees acquired outfielder Joey Gallo before the trade deadline, in a transaction with the Texas Rangers. The slugger, famous for his tape measure home runs and his penchant for strikeouts, struggled in his first 2+ months in pinstripes, with a .160/.303/.404 line, 13 homers, a .707 OPS and 88 punchouts in 188 at-bats. He is, however, a productive hitter overall when one considers his power and patience to draw walks. Even with all the strikeouts, he has managed to be a well-above average performer over the course of his career, not to mention a sneaky-good athlete and a terrific defender in the outfield. But it’s not a secret that his stint with the Yankees, to this point, hasn’t gone well. The fan base has been fairly critical of his performance, and one former MLB star in particular bashed him...
The most dangerous creation of any society is the man who has nothing to lose. Or, if I were to apply that famous quote by the American author and activist James Baldwin to the British monarchy in 2021, the most dangerous creation for the Royal Family is the Duke of York who has nothing to lose. It was a weekend of incredible contrasts for Prince Andrew. The shamed favourite son of the Queen faced a coordinated assault in The Sunday Times from sources close to two future kings – his brother Prince Charles and nephew Prince William – that amounted to a full throttled bid to force him to accept he must permanently retire from public life Prince William is ‘no fan of Uncle Andrew’ who is a ‘risk’ and ‘threat to the family’, with a friend telling the newspaper: ‘Any suggestion that there isn’t gratitude for the institution, anything that could lead anyone in the public to think that senior members of the royal family aren’t grateful for their position, [William thinks] is really dangerous.’ Prince Andrew is photographed...
PRINCE George could inherit the London home of his grandfather Prince Charles, which was originally intended for Prince Harry, according to insiders. Clarence House, situated adjacent to London’s leafy green park, had been earmarked for The Duchy’s youngest, but since Harry and Meghan Markle moved to California that is “no longer on the cards.” 3Prince George could be set to inherit Clarence House according to insidersCredit: PA 3Charles' London home had been earmarked for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle until their move to the USCredit: Getty 3But now it is most likely to be left to one of the Cambridge children with Prince George as the front-runnerCredit: PA:Press Association According to the Mail on Sunday it is now more likely to go to one of his grandchildren in the Cambridge family, with Prince George a front runner as the eldest of Kate Middleton and Prince William. If Prince Harry isn't writing his resignation letter to Netflix at this very moment after the international release of the revolting Diana musical then he is a man devoid of morals. For years the Duke of Sussex has waged war against any media organisation which, in his eyes, demeans the memory of his late mother or exploits and misinterprets her life for commercial gain. Over the weekend his new US paymasters did exactly that in the most outrageous fashion. Diana: The Musical is the most offensive and degrading portrayal of the late Princess of Wales in fiction since her death in 1997 – and in terms of accuracy it makes that other historically-derided Netflix series The Crown look like a royal encyclopaedia of truth. The lies about Di's life are egregious – from suggesting she used HIV patients for publicity to attacking Margaret Thatcher for her politics. But at least she isn't around to see such nonsense broadcast to millions around the world. If Prince Harry isn't writing his resignation letter to Netflix at this very moment after the international...
AN Australian man who claims to be Prince Charles' secret son has shared an e-mail he says proves he sent a letter to the royal. Simon Dorante-Day         In the email, Smith writes: “Just to confirm that I received the letter you sent by airmail addressed to me. “I opened the outer packaging containing my details. "The inner letter addressed to the Prince I took by hand, unopened, to the Princes’ correspondence team. I hope this is suitable.”   Durante-Day made headlines earlier this year when he claimed to be Prince Charles and Camilla's secret lovechild. The Royal-wannabe, who was born in the UK but now is living in Queensland, Australia, alleged he was conceived in 1965 when he says Charles and Camilla were first romantically linked. The 55-year-old father of nine believes the couple conceived him when Charles was just 17, and Camilla 18 and he was later adopted by a family who had links to the Royal Family. Since going public with his outlandish claim he has shared numerous side-by-side images comparing himself and his son...

Spencer  Rating: A fable ‘from a true tragedy’, declares a caption at the start of Spencer, which – with all eyes on Kristen Stewart, the screen’s latest incarnation of Princess Diana – had its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival last night. The caption might equally have read ‘a tureen of purest whimsy’, from which director Pablo Larrain and screenwriter Steven Knight dish up the imagined goings-on at Sandringham over the three days of Christmas 1991, with the marriage between Charles and Diana ruptured beyond repair. The tableware reference would have been apt. Spencer drips with symbolism and metaphor – like Diana’s pretty neck dripping with jewels – and food is at the heart of it. One of the wackiest moments comes during dinner on Christmas Eve, when she tears off a pearl necklace identical to one Charles has also given to Camilla (not that the C-word is ever actually mentioned). The enormous pearls then plop into Diana’s soup, whereupon she promptly starts scoffing them before later, naturally, throwing them up. The poor woman’s bulimia looms large in...

The relationship between Lady Kitty Spencer and her father Earl Charles Spencer has 'cooled and become distant' since he married third wife Karen, a source has claimed. Princess Diana's brother's eldest daughter, 30, wed retail millionaire Michael Lewis, 62, at a 17th century Italian castle on Saturday, in a stunning lace gown by Dolce & Gabbana, for whom she is a brand ambassador. But her father, 57 - five years Michael's junior - was notably absent from the wedding, with Kitty walked down the aisle by her brother Louis Spencer, Viscount Althorp, 27, and half brother Samuel Aitken, whose father is businessman Jonathan Aitken. On Friday – when the wedding rehearsal took place – Earl Spencer posted a picture of the moon over the family's ancestral home, Althorp in Northamptonshire, on social media. Given that current travel restrictions require five days of isolation on arrival in Italy, it appears he wasn't among the well-wishers. The Royal Family are reeling from ‘very real fears’ that Prince Harry’s four-book deal could destabilise the Monarchy by undermining the reputation of his father when he ascends the throne. There is concern that the release of one of the books is reportedly due to come after the death of the Queen, which could hamper the ‘transition’ – a process that began several years ago to prepare the country slowly for the succession. Harry’s lawyers have said the claim that he is waiting for his grandmother to pass away before releasing one of the books is ‘false and defamatory’. The Prince will next year release the first book – described as a ‘definitive account of the experiences, adventures, losses, and life lessons that have helped shape him’ – to mark the 25th anniversary of the death of his mother Princess Diana. But it also coincides with the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and there is concern that it could overshadow celebrations to mark her 70 years as Monarch. Prince Charles will wear a mask only when Government advice dictates that he should do so, The Mail on Sunday can reveal. In a boost to the Government’s Freedom Day, the Prince is not expected to cover his face when he visits Exeter Cathedral tomorrow. Charles is patron of a fundraising appeal at the cathedral and, for the first time in months, his trip has been made public in advance. During the pandemic, visits have been kept secret to prevent crowds congregating. Prince Charles will wear a mask only when Government advice dictates that he should do so A Palace source said: ‘This will be the first time in 18 months that we are seeing a return to normality. Charles Leclerc. Getty/Clive Mason Charles Leclerc does not agree with Lewis Hamilton that Formula One is a "billionaires boys' club." The Ferrari driver says there are currently "a lot of efforts" to improve diversity in the sport.  "The road is still long, but it's going in the right direction for sure," he told Insider.  Visit Insider's homepage for more stories. Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc does not agree with Lewis Hamilton's claim that Formula One is a "billionaires boys' club." Hamilton made the comment in May, adding that it would be impossible for someone with a working class background like his own to break into the sport now. "If I go back to where I started, growing up in a normal working class family, there is no way I could be here — the guys you are fighting against have that much more money," he said. (CNN)Split-second decision making, relentless focus and courage are just some of the attributes any Formula One driver needs. Charles Leclerc first stepped into a kart when he was four years old, and was hooked by the thrill of speed after he had his first lesson with his godfather and French racing driver Jules Bianchi. But the financial support required for motorsport racing was an extra barrier, and as the years progressed, his family weren't able to afford the cost of competing. That's when manager Nicolas Todt stepped in, taking on Leclerc in 2012 and paying for his next season. As Leclerc made his way, Bianchi endured a fatal crash in 2014 at the Japanese GP, spent nine months in a coma, and passed away the following year. Tragically, Leclerc's father died in 2017, two experiences that the F1 star told the Guardian were "incredibly hard," but made him "stronger as a person and as a driver." Charles Leclerc prepares to drive on the grid ahead of the Styria Grand Prix at Red Bull Ring on June 27, 2021 in...

Charles Barkley complains that cancel culture prevents him from telling certain jokes on TNT’s Inside the NBA. But if you watch the show, it doesn’t sound like Barkley speaks through much of a filter. Saturday night’s Eastern Conference Finals Game 6 was the final broadcast on TNT for 80-year-old, legendary sports announcer Marv Albert. After the game, Albert’s sportscasting career was being celebrated by TNT. The camera panned to Turner Sports’ VP of Talent Relations Tara August, who was giving Albert a courtside hug. “Ooo that’s something you don’t see often,” Barkley quickly said when he saw August on the screen. “A cougar that’s not in the wild.” “Oh man,” co-host Kenny Smith said as Shaq laughed at Barkley’s joke. “Our boss Tara August…that’s right ladies and gentleman we have an African American female boss,” Smith added proudly. After the crude remark, Barkley proceeded to add a few snarls while trying to sound like a cougar. Last month, the basketball Hall-of-Famer ripped the concept of “PC” culture, claiming his TNT bosses are removing some of the fun he used to have...

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's son Archie could be allowed to choose whether or not he becomes a prince when he turns 18, a royal author has claimed. Leading royal biographer Robert Lacey says the Duke and Duchess of Sussex could follow in the footsteps of Earl and Countess of Wessex - who have not styled their children 'prince' or 'princess'. The couple's children, James and Louise, are instead known as Viscount Severn and Lady Louise Windsor. The siblings, who are 13th and 14th in line to the throne, will get a choice on whether to take royal titles or style themselves as HRH when they turn 18. It comes amid claims, first reported in Mail on Sunday, that Prince Charles will ensure that Archie will never be a prince as part of his plan for a slimmed-down Monarchy.  However, Lacey, who is set to release an updated edition of his book Battle of Brothers, told the Times that such a move does 'not seem likely'. He said: 'It is possible that Prince Charles may try to remove royal status...

A police chief today reveals why he was forced to quiz Prince Charles on allegations he plotted to kill Princess Diana. Lord Stevens, a former head of Scotland Yard, says he had to 'follow the evidence' and question the prince over a note his ex-wife wrote claiming he was planning an accident in her car. The unprecedented interview was conducted amid enormous secrecy at St James's Palace during a three-year investigation into Diana's death in a Paris car crash in 1997. A crucial part of the probe was the note the princess had written predicting she would die through 'brake failure and serious head injury' so Charles could marry his sons' former nanny, Tiggy Legge-Bourke.  In the note Diana added: 'Camilla is nothing but a decoy so we are being used by the man in every sense of the word.'
