Getty Alec Ingold & Josh Jacobs of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Las Vegas Raiders can’t seem to catch a break this season. The team has lost two straight ugly games and is now losing a key player for the season. Fullback Alec Ingold had to leave Sunday’s game early against the Kansas City Chiefs due to an injury. He had to be carted into the locker room and was quickly ruled out. The Raiders’ worst fears were realized as an MRI confirmed that he suffered an ACL tear, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. An MRI confirmed an isolated ACL tear for Alec Ingold, source said. No other ligament damage. Brutal loss. But he’ll be good to go for 2022. https://t.co/kM0nYhHfQO — Tom Pelissero (@TomPelissero) November 15, 2021 The silver lining is that the tear was isolated and there’s no other ligament damage. While his 2021 season is over, Pelissero noted that he’ll be ready for 2022. Though fullbacks have fallen out of fashion in the NFL, Ingold has developed into a very important player for the Raiders....
Getty Odell Beckham Jr. The Cleveland Browns and Odell Beckham Jr. have agreed to part ways. If the former Pro-Bowl WR clears waivers, he will be a free agent who is eligible to sign a deal with any interested NFL team. How likely is it a team will claim Beckham Jr. on waivers? It seems unlikely considering the price tag for the remainder of the year would be $7.25 million. That’s almost certainly too steep for most teams. This detail is “good news” for the New England Patriots‘ chances of signing Beckham Jr., per Pats’ Pulpit’s Ryan Spagnoli:  I’d be shocked if someone claims him now at that price, which would make OBJ a free agent for the first time in his career. This is good news if you want the #Patriots to land his services. https://t.co/Yj2adYiFoK — Ryan Spagnoli (@Ryan_Spags) November 5, 2021 According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, there is a group of...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis. It’s been a tumultuous week for the Las Vegas Raiders as they come to terms with the release of wide receiver Henry Ruggs stemming from his involvement in a fatal car crash on November 2 that resulted in the death of 23-year-old woman Tina O. Tintor and her dog. Ruggs was subsequently charged with a DUI resulting in death, which is a class B felony, according to Nevada law. He’s facing penalties of two to 20 years in prison, fines ranging from $2,000 to $5,000 and a three-year driver’s license suspension, per Shouse Law. Once presented with the evidence the Raiders made a quick decision to release Ruggs – a decision that was made by owner Mark Davis. Davis spoke with Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal and offered his thoughts on the whole situation. “It’s devastating,” Davis said. “Obviously a loss of life … it’s just a tragedy.” Ruggs’ time with the Raiders was brief. He only played in 20 games over the course of two seasons. Despite his...
Getty Giants WR Kadarius Toney Former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Henry Ruggs III is facing two felony charges of driving under the influence and reckless driving with death or substantial bodily harm after being involved in a fatal car crash that led to the death of a 23-year-old woman and her dog. According to prosecutors, Ruggs was traveling 156 miles per hour with a blood alcohol content “more than twice the legal limit,” via Las Vegas Review-Journal reporter Katelyn Newberg. While Ruggs is in for a lengthy legal process, the Alabama native’s former employers will attempt to shift their focus back to the football field, as the Raiders are set for a Week 9 bout with the New York Giants. Kadarius Toney, Big Blue’s electric rookie who the Raiders will look to bottle up on Sunday, took to Twitter shortly after the Ruggs incident to share his thoughts on the situation. Amidst sending his prayers to all the families involved in the horrific accident, Toney shared some words for those ridiculing Ruggs for his actions. “We young…..everybody make...
Getty Derek Carr with Henry Ruggs. Hours after news broke of Henry Ruggs being charged with a DUI resulting in the death of 23-year-old woman Tina O. Tintor and her dog, the Las Vegas Raiders promptly released the 2020 first-round draft pick. The wide receiver appeared in court on Wednesday where many details regarding the car crash were revealed by prosecutor Eric Bauman. The prosecutor said in court that Ruggs was driving at 156 mph before slowing down to 127 mph when airbags were deployed, per Katelyn Newberg of the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Ruggs faces a long legal process but the Raiders have to move on and continue playing football.  The team is barely getting over the resignation of head coach Jon Gruden and now has to play through a much more serious situation. Quarterback Derek Carr has led the team through a number of difficult circumstances and this may be his toughest challenge yet. He developed a strong relationship with Ruggs since he was drafted and was devastated by the news. “My emotions have been on a roller coaster,...

Getty Derek Carr handing ball off to Henry Ruggs. The Las Vegas Raiders were struck with devastating news on Tuesday when the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department revealed that star wide receiver Henry Ruggs was involved in a car crash that led to the death of a currently unnamed person. According to the police, Ruggs was “impaired” and has been charged with a DUI resulting in death. He will now face a long legal process but the Raiders have to continue playing football. The team is barely getting over head coach Jon Gruden resigning last month and will now be dealing with more adversity. Starting quarterback Derek Carr will be tasked with trying to keep the Raiders focused through this tragedy. David Carr, the quarterback’s brother, took to Twitter after the Ruggs news broke and proclaimed that his brother would not only be the MVP of the league but possibly the most valuable player in a season ever “when” the Raiders make the Super Bowl. Many believed that Carr’s tweet was insensitive considering somebody died, which led to...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders running back Josh Jacobs. During Week 1’s game against the Baltimore Ravens, it was clear that Josh Jacobs wasn’t 100%. He was commonly seen wincing in pain and limping off the field. Despite that, he toughed it out for the Las Vegas Raiders and even scored a key touchdown. Injuries have become a common theme regarding Jacobs. He’s missed four games in two seasons and is set to miss Sunday’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. That’s not even taken into account all the injuries he’s played through. He’s as tough as they come but his body is clearly having a difficult time dealing with the rigors of the NFL. Fans can be a brutal bunch and many are writing off Jacobs as an injury-prone player who can’t stay on the field. A day after the news dropped that he wasn’t playing on Sunday, Jacobs posted a cryptic tweet just featuring an emoji of a pencil writing on paper. ???? — Josh Jacobs (@iAM_JoshJacobs) September 18, 2021 Based on this tweet, it seems that the...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders OL Denzelle Good. Monday night was a celebration for the Las Vegas Raiders. They won their first game in Allegiant Stadium with fans against a powerhouse Baltimore Ravens team. While there’s plenty for the team to be excited about, they also had some really bad news to come from the game. The Raiders dealt with several injuries throughout the game but starting right guard Denzelle Good was the first to go down. He tried to tough it out after getting hurt on the first drive but eventually was forced to leave the game entirely. Things didn’t look good for him but the fact that he was able to get back into the game was a sign that maybe the injury wasn’t too serious. Unfortunately, that’s not the case. According to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, Good tore his ACL and will miss the remainder of the season. Raiders starting guard Denzelle Good suffered a torn ACL in the Monday night game vs. the Ravens and will be out for the season, per source. Tough deal for...

Getty Jon Gruden with Carl Nassib. Carl Nassib made NFL history on Monday when he came out to the world as a gay man. He was the first active NFL player to do such a thing. While an announcement like that would’ve been controversial years ago, Nassib has received an outpouring of support. The Las Vegas Raiders have always been a franchise that embraces individuals who go against the norm. Head coach Jon Gruden had a chance to send a strong message to Nassib after the news broke. “I learned a long time ago what makes a man different is what makes him great,” Gruden told Paul Gutierrez of ESPN. Nassib has certainly set himself apart from other players in the NFL. Owner Mark Davis also had a chance to chime in on the announcement. “It’s cool,” Davis told Vic Tafur of The Athletic. “It’s 2021. We brought [Michael] Sam in here for a workout. Nothing new. It doesn’t change my opinion of him as a person or as a Raider.” Davis’ father Al was a trailblazer when...
On what continues to be an incredible day for the New England Patriots, they’ve stolen veteran receiver Nelson Agholor from the Las Vegas Raiders. The New England Patriots are going for the gusto this offseason. After a disappointing 7-9 finish last season, Bill Belichick and company are looking to right their wrongs and head into next season with a much stronger roster. Mike Mayock spoke in support of quarterback Derek Carr as rumors swirl about his future with the Las Vegas Raiders. Derek Carr’s future with the Las Vegas Raiders has been in question all offseason. The team has been linked to potential upgrades such as Deshaun Watson and Russell Wilson, bringing up the idea that the front office may be ready to move on from Carr. Raiders GM Mike Mayock decided to come out and make it clear how the organization truly views Carr. ESPN’s Paul Gutierrez shared the telling quote from Mayock. "I think Derek Carr had his best year yet, under Jon Gruden. I think hes one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL and were happy with him…I think Jon Gruden and I would stand shoulder to shoulder and pound the table for Derek Carr." – #Raiders GM Mike Mayock, on Derek Carr. — Paul Gutierrez (@PGutierrezESPN) March 3, 2021 Mike Mayock puts an end to any trade rumors about Derek CarrThis is quite the strong endorsement of the former 2014 draft pick who has spent his entire...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders TE Darren Waller. It came a year too late but Darren Waller has officially been selected to his first Pro Bowl. The Las Vegas Raiders has arguably been one of the two best tight ends in the NFL this season and is more than deserving of the achievement. He should’ve also made it last season after catching 90 passes for 1,145 yards but he’s been even better this year. With two games left, he’s caught 93 passes for 967 yards and eight touchdowns, which is a huge improvement over the three he caught last year. “It’s pretty unbelievable,” Waller said of the news, via Raiders Wire. Waller was almost out of the NFL due to multiple substance abuse violations early in his career. The fact that he was able to get clean was an achievement on its own but now he’s cementing himself as one of the NFL’s next big stars. “Honestly, I never really thought anything like this would happen,” Waller said. “This was never my goal. I never really had big goals...
The Las Vegas Raiders are breathing a sigh of relief after getting encouraging news on the health of Josh Jacobs after he sustained an ankle injury vs. the Atlanta Falcons.Josh Jacobs could be back for the Las Vegas Raiders as early as Sunday afternoon in Week 13. In the Silver and Black’s embarrassing road loss to the Atlanta Falcons, Jacobs only had 10 touches and a fumble before exiting the game with an ankle injury. While his injury looked worse on the field, it was revealed to only be a sprain. This means there is a good chance Jacobs will be back out there for the Raiders when they take on the winless New York Jets on Sunday. They will need him. Tests confirmed that it’s just a sprained ankle for #Raiders RB Josh Jacobs. He has a chance to play this week, depending on how he feels. So, good news and what they expected. https://t.co/hCGp45uUqe — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 30, 2020 This is fantastic news for the Raiders offense, as well as your fantasy teamThe Raiders could not...
It wasn’t all bad news for the Raiders as two key players returned to practice Wednesday as seven others were placed on the COVID-19 reserve list. Left tackle Kolton Miller and defensive tackle Maurice Hurst were on the field as the Raiders (6-3) prepared to face the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs (8-1) Sunday night at Allegiant Stadium. “We’re still in the process of figuring it out, but they were out here today,” Raiders coach Jon Gruden said. “That was a good step in the right direction.” Miller missed Raiders wins against the Los Angeles Chargers and Denver Broncos with an ankle injury sustained against Cleveland on Nov. 1. They were the first games Miller has missed in his career, having made 39 consecutive starts at that point and rarely missing a single snap. Brandon Parker has started in Miller’s place in the last two games and played well. If Miller plays, Parker will either move to right tackle, where Sam Young has struggled to remain healthy and complete games, or be available as...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders HC Jon Gruden. The Las Vegas Raiders were already heading into their rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs slightly undermanned. Well, it looks like things could be getting a lot worse. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, nearly all of the Raiders’ starting defense is headed to the COVID-19 list. This is wild: Nearly the entire #Raiders starting defense is going on the COVID-19 list because of high-risk close contacts, but all are eligible to play in the game if they continue to test negatively, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. — Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) November 18, 2020 You read that correctly. It’s not the entire defensive line, it’s the entire starting defense. Now, Rapoport’s tweet is somewhat vague so it could be six players, it could be all 11 starters. Regardless, this is very bad news for the Raiders. Even if every guy is able to play on Sunday, missing out on practice before playing the reigning Super Bowl champions is not a recipe for success. The situation is very...
Getty Las Vegas Raiders DT Maurice Hurst. The Las Vegas Raiders have finished up their bye week and returned to practice on Monday. They’ve been among the teams that have been hit the hardest by injuries this season. The bye week gave them a chance to get healthier and they’ve already had one key play return to practice. Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst missed Week 5 after being placed on the COVID-19 list. Fortunately, he was back at practice for the Raiders on Monday. Maurice Hurst back at practice for @Raiders — Vincent Bonsignore (@VinnyBonsignore) October 19, 2020 Hurst has been one of the Raiders’ best and most consistent pass rushers this season. Though he doesn’t start, he’s still an important member of the defensive line, especially in passing situations. He didn’t have injury issues prior to going on the COVID-19 list so it would appear he’ll be back in the lineup on Sunday. The fact that he’s back at practice means that he was able to beat the virus. ALL the latest Las Vegas Raiders news straight...
Getty Maxx Crosby & Maurice Hurst of the Las Vegas Raiders. The Las Vegas Raiders can’t catch a break this year. They’ve been brutalized with injuries all season and have one of the toughest schedules in the NFL through the first half. In Week 5, they have to head to Kansas City to face off against their archrival and it looks like they could be without one of their few promising defenders. According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, defensive tackle Maurice Hurst is being put on the Reserve/COVID-19 list. Raiders placed DT Maurice Hurst on Reserve-Covid 19 list today, per source. — Adam Schefter (@AdamSchefter) October 6, 2020 Now, the team hasn’t addressed the report yet so this could mean a number of things. It could mean Hurst came into close contact with somebody who tested positive for COVID-19 or it could be a false positive. Regardless, it’s not a great sign for a struggling defense, especially since defensive tackle Daniel Ross was just recently put on injured reserve. Getty Las Vegas Raiders CB Damon Arnette. Through the first two weeks of the season, the Las Vegas Raiders had a lot going for them. They had two wins and the offense looked elite. Well, it looks like they’re crashing back to earth. A number of key starters have already missed games due to injury and they got beaten badly by the New England Patriots in Week 3. Rookie first-round pick Damon Arnette has been playing with a cast on his hand due to an offseason thumb injury. He had an awkward fall against the Patriots on Sunday that seemed to make the injury worse. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Raiders’ worst fears could be realized as it’s now looking like Arnette could be sent to the injured reserve. Bad news for the #Raiders defense: 1st-round CB Damon Arnette is visiting a thumb specialist today after falling awkwardly on it Sunday, sources say. Las Vegas Raiders first-round pick Damon Arnette is wearing a cast with the season fast approaching Earlier this week, the Las Vegas Raiders made the decision to cut NFL veteran cornerback Prince Amukamara. No, it didn’t have to do with the viral video of him being juked out by receiver Hunter Renfrow, but because head coach Jon Gruden was impressed by first-round selection Damon Arnette’s play during training camp. Just days after the glowing endorsement, Arnette is dealing with an injury. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Arnette is dealing with a fracture in his right thumb and is wearing a soft cast. It’s currently unknown if Arnette will miss the regular season opener, or if he’ll play through the pain. Source: #Raiders first-round CB Damon Arnette recently suffered a fracture in his thumb. Getty Las Vegas Raiders HC Jon Gruden. After a pretty clean training camp, the Las Vegas Raiders are starting to get hit with some really bad injury news. Getty Las Vegas Raiders WR Tyrell Williams. Things were looking good for the Las Vegas Raiders‘ wide receiver corps this year. They brought in a couple of dynamic rookies and Tyrell Williams was fully healthy and ready to return to form. Unfortunately, he’s not going to get that chance. News broke last week that he tore a labrum in his shoulder but was going to try and play through it. It looks like he’s not going to be able to do it as he’s opted for surgery and the Raiders are putting him on injured reserve, according to ESPN’s Field Yates. Getty Las Vegas Raiders HC Jon Gruden. The Las Vegas Raiders have been very fortunate in training camp thus far as they hadn’t had any major injuries of note yet.
