Despite having lost a huge part of its user base with the beginning of Chapter 2, Fortnite seems to have caught a second wind now. Following a huge Marvel-themed season, the ongoing bounty hunter season has also been a colossal hit among the fans. From the looks of it, collaborating with popular movies, TV shows, and game franchises has worked in the favor of Epic Games. Chapter 2 Season 6 of Fortnite is right around the corner, and it wouldn’t be a surprise if it ends with another collaboration and an equally grand live-event. Throughout the current season, bounty hunters like Predator, the Mandalorian, and Ripley have arrived on the Fortnite island. President Joe Biden has two seats to fill in the influential court of appeals in the nation’s capital that is often the justices’ springboard to the Supreme Court. They are among the roughly 10% of federal courts that are already open or will be soon, giving Biden his first chance to make his mark on the American judicial system. Without considering an unlikely expansion of the Supreme Court, Biden won’t be able to do anything soon about the entrenched conservative majority on the main court. Judge Clarence Thomas, 72, is the oldest of the court’s conservatives and the three judges appointed by former President Donald Trump, ages 49 to 56, are anticipated to serve decades on the bench. Democrats traditionally don’t focus on the judiciary, but that’s changing after four years of Trump’s rule and the big changes it made. Biden’s appointees also...

by Eric Lendrum  A leading counterterrorism official at the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed on Wednesday that, despite frequent and baseless claims that the protests at the U.S. Capitol on January 6th was supposedly an “armed insurrection,” no firearms were recovered in the aftermath of the protests, as reported by the Epoch Times. CHICAGO (AP) — The U.S. attorney for northern Illinois appointed by former President Donald Trump won't be forced to resign as originally planned, the White House says. President Joe Biden’s team had wanted all top federal prosecutors to resign by Sunday, with two exceptions. But the Biden White House announced late Sunday that John Lausch, the U.S. attorney based in Chicago, would remain in his post, becoming the third exception. “In very limited exceptions, including the Northern District of Illinois, the administration has opted not to seek new candidates for U.S. Attorney positions at this time,” a White House official said. It is common for presidents to ask for the resignations of U.S. attorneys appointed by the opposite political party. Lausch was nominated by Trump, a Republican, and confirmed by the Senate in November 2017. Illinois’ two Democratic U.S. senators, Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, opposed Biden immediately dismissing Lausch....

By PAT GRAHAM | The Associated Press DENVER — Snowboarder Maurice Kervin glided into the snow along the steep terrain in the Colorado backcountry like he’s done so many times. There was no warning for what happened next as he glanced over his shoulder: a rush of snow swiftly heading his way. Caught in an avalanche last month, the 25-year-old deployed his airbag to help stay on the surface of the snow debris and rode out a slide large enough to bury a house. Once he finally — and safely — stopped, Kervin let out a powerful scream. “Just raw emotion,” he explained. “Happy to be alive.” This has been an historically dangerous avalanche season, with 32 confirmed fatalities so far, primarily in the West. The accidents have involved different recreational activities — snowboarding, skiing, snowmobiling, hiking. Avalanche experts are warning the threat of slides in the backcountry may only...
