In response to the broadside, CNN said in a written statement it disagreed their former star's characterization of events.  'He has made a number of accusations that are patently false,' the network...

FOR many people, cleaning is an arduous task that takes up too much time. If you're one of those people, you're going to love this hack - which uses just a bottle of Flash all purpose cleaner to clean an entire bath in one go. 3Clean your bath and bathroom products in one go with this ingenious hackCredit: Tiktok/@homethirty_one 3All it takes is a bottle of Flash all purpose cleaner and a spongeCredit: Tiktok/@homethirty_one Instead of faffing around with bathroom cleaners, limescale removers and bleach, TikTok user Homethirtyone simply fills the bath with warm water, splashes in some Flash and lets it get to work. And as well as ensuring the tub itself comes up spick, span and stain-free, the shampoos, shower gels and even the bath tray are also popped in the water as well - ensuring everything gets a onceover in one take. As the tray and products are soaked in the Flash and water, a sponge is used to clean all over the bath with the water, before it's all wiped off with a...
It was a clear, sunny, blue-sky day the day I learned I had breast cancer. The brutally unexpected so often seems to happen on such days. For a few months over the past summer, I had an intermittent sharp pain under my left breast, as if the wire from a bra was cutting in. Sometimes it woke me at night, sometimes it disappeared for days. But there was no lump or general tenderness.  When I mentioned the pain to anyone, they would say: ‘Well at least it’s not breast cancer because you don’t get a pain with breast cancer.’ But then I read about how Girls Aloud singer Sarah Harding, who sadly died of breast cancer in September, experienced a pain which she attributed to a guitar strap rubbing her breast. It made me think that I should get my pain investigated – but not right then. At some point. In the future. It was a clear, sunny, blue-sky day the day I learned I had breast cancer. WHEN it comes to style and beauty icons, Mr. Bean isn’t exactly top of the list. In this article F GM TSLA RIVN LCID Rivian shares have been under pressure, but at a market capitalization of over $100 billion, bigger than GM and Ford, it would be hard to say the electric vehicle upstart isn't a major success. The buying and selling action in EV stocks lately has been intense, from all the fuss over Elon Musk's selling of Tesla shares to former Tesla executive Peter Rawlinson's Lucid Group, which went public earlier this year and is now at a valuation over $80 billion, just about as big as the Detroit stalwarts. As the stock market faces a new test after President Joe Biden reappointed Jerome Powell to lead the Federal Reserve, leading to market calls that investors are about to cycle back into value stocks and away from the hottest growth names ahead of interest rate hike pressures, Tesla's competitors have been giving back some gains. EIGHT in 10 people feel guilty when they lie to their pets, new research suggests. In a recent survey of 2,000 pet owners, more than half said they often feel like they aren’t doing enough for their pets, and one of the main reasons for their guilt is dishonesty. 3A new study revealed people feel guilty for leaving their pets at homeCredit: Getty 3Many feel bad that they are lying to their animalsCredit: Getty Forty-three percent are not always honest with their pets about why they need to stop walking or playing, and 38 percent have told them they’re going to the park but made a beeline to the vet instead. Conducted by OnePoll on behalf of Vetster, the survey also found that over two-thirds of respondents need only look at their pets to know they did something wrong as pet parents. Telltale signs of disappointment from pets include not wanting to be touched (60 percent), giving people the “cold shoulder” (56...
DENVER (AP) — Facing a surge in coronavirus infections that threatens to overwhelm Colorado hospitals, Gov. Jared Polis defied federal guidance on COVID-19 booster shots Thursday by issuing an order allowing all state residents 18 and older to get them. U.S. Food and Drug Administration rules allow booster shots for those 18 and over who are at high risk of exposure to the virus. The FDA also permits boosters for people 65 and older, and adults with special medical conditions. Polis’ order declares all of Colorado at high risk of infection, significantly expanding the number of residents eligible. “Because disease spread is so significant across Colorado, all Coloradans who are 18 years of age and older are at high risk and qualify for a booster shot,” the Democratic governor said in his order. Requests for comment from the FDA were not immediately returned on Thursday, a federal holiday. But at a White House briefing on Wednesday, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, emphasized the importance of getting boosters to those already eligible...

DENVER (CBS4) – All Colorado adults are now eligible for a COVID-19 booster shot six months after their second dose of either the Pfizer or Moderna vaccines. Recipients of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine are now eligible two months after their dose. The latest public health order from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment prevents any vaccine administrator from turning away adults who are due for their booster. READ MORE: Colorado Food Pantries Getting Far Less Bang For Their Buck (credit: CBS) Until recently, most Colorado vaccine providers only provided boosters to individuals who met the CDC’s recommendation for booster shots. The CDC still says Americans who are over 65, live in long-term care settings, have underlying medical conditions or are frontline workers should make the booster a priority. “My argument is that the state of Colorado is an institution, and within our institution, we have high rates of exposure,” explained Dr. Eric France Chief Medical Officer at CDPHE. “The vaccine continues to protect against severe disease and hospitalization, but may allow persons to get mild disease,...

A student at one of America's most famous historically-female colleges implored bosses to install tampon and sanitary pad dispeners in men's bathrooms to be more inclusive to 'those with uteruses'  Smith College student writer Jade Mosely made the suggestion in a piece entitled Smith Has A Period Problem for the college's paper The Sophian. While the college, based in Northampton, Massachusetts is famed for being women only, it has started admitting male students to its graduate programs in recent years. Mosely wrote that Smith's current policy on period products is indicative of the $56,000-a-year educational institution 'adopting a clandestine attitude towards menstruation to cater to cisgender men.'  The student journalist went on to write that Smith 'is not exempt from the widespread effects of period poverty by virtue alone'  and urged the institution to 'take the hygienic needs of its.. students of varying identities... seriously.' Not providing free and accessible menstrual products to students, the writer proclaimed, is a 'deliberate choice' that 'sends a clear message to menstruating students about the lack of care for their wellbeing.'  The opinion piece,...

For once, Alec Baldwin has been felled by a disaster which is not at all of his own making. Who knows how awful he must be feeling after what appears to have been a terrible accident, resulting in the death of one colleague and the wounding of another? WhatsApp has launched end-to-end encrypted backups that will allow users to protect all their stored messages, photos, videos and calls with a password or 64-digit key. The feature is being rolled out globally to iOS and Android users to provide an 'optional extra layer of protection' to existing backups, according to a spokesperson for the social media giant. Facebook, which owns WhatsApp, said that with end-to-end encrypted backups, the entire messaging process is now more secure, even when stored in the cloud. It claims no other messaging service on the scale of WhatsApp 'provides that level of overall security for users content'.  The update means that, on top of the encryption provided by cloud storage solutions like iCloud, Google Drive and Dropbox, the backup file will also have encryption. HERE to tell you once more - you're doing things wrong. This time, however, you've been leaving your lemons all over the counter or on a fridge shelf and you couldn't be more wrong. 4Most people will store their lemons on their counterCredit: Tik Tok 4Others will simply put them in the fridge - but that's wrongCredit: Tik Tok Tanya, who runs the Tanya Home Inspo accounts, revealed the proper way to store lemons, letting you keep them for several months. In her TikTok video, she said: "If you're anything like me, you probably store your lemons in the fridge or on the counter. "But the real trick here is to put your lemons in a container, add some water, and pop them in the fridge. "They will last up to three months." The only thing you need to do is make sure that you change the water of your lemons every once in a while. But not only have you been storing your lemons wrong, but you've also been using the can opener incorrectly. Most read in...
LOS ANGELES — The first modern-era playoff matchup between the Giants and Dodgers seemed destined to come down to a winner-take-all game. A 107-win Giants club won the National League West by the narrowest of margins over a 106-win Dodgers club in large part because it won the season series between the clubs 10-to-9, so of course their NLDS showdown will come down to one game. “This is what baseball wants,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday. “I think, as I understand, all the series are done and so we’re going to be the only show in town. So if you have a pulse or you’re a sports fan, you better be watching Dodgers-Giants.” Thursday’s matchup at Oracle Park will be billed as the biggest in the history of the rivalry, but depending on your viewpoint, that’s not necessarily the case. On Monday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that all of the blame for the misses shouldn’t fall on Crosby. “I think there’s just some things that we absolutely need to clean up just from an operation standpoint,” LaFleur said, via Rob Demovsky of ESPN.com. “You can’t put all of that on Mason. Amazon has axed plans to bring corporate staff back to work in person by January 3 and will instead let managers plan how often their staff should come in – although employees should be close enough to their office to attend meetings with a day's notice. The tech giant has 1.3 million employees worldwide, with hundreds of thousands in corporate positions, and ‘at a company of our size, there is no one-size-fits-all approach for how every team works best,’ Amazon CEO Andy Jassy wrote in a memo to employees on Monday to explain the new plans. He added that the company would be testing the waters to see if its new plan works. ‘We’re going to be in a stage of experimenting, learning, and adjusting for a while as we emerge from this pandemic,’ he wrote. Despite handing over the reins to team leaders, however, Jassy added, ‘At this stage, we want most of our people close enough to their core team that they can easily travel to the office for a meeting within a day’s notice.’ Amazon has pivoted...

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blasted her fellow Democratic lawmaker Sen. Joe Manchin on Thursday, condemning him as a 'Conservative Dem' for reportedly saying progressives must pick only one from three of President Biden's spending proposals. She delivered her broadside as Democrats fight over their massive multi-trillion dollar bill. Manchin has said he is only prepared to back $1.5 trillion of spending - far less than his party's $3.5 trillion proposal - and is pushing progressives to choose from expanded child tax credits, paid family medical leave or subsidies for child care, according to Axios.  Ocasio-Cortez delivered her verdict in a tweet. 'Ah yes, the Conservative Dem position: "You can either feed your kid, recover from your C-section, or have childcare so you can go to work - but not all three. All 3 makes you entitled and lazy," she wrote.  'But fossil fuel $, keeping Rx prices high,& not taxing Wall St are "non-negotiable."' Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez blasted centrist holdout Sen.
