Transitioning into vegan eating doesn’t have to be hard at all! Just avoid these five mistakes to ensure that you stay healthy and happy on your journey! 1. Vegan doesn’t always mean healthy Unfortunately, just because a food item is labeled “vegetarian” or “vegan,”  doesn’t mean it’s necessarily healthy. There are many vegan food and drink products on the market that contain a vast list of artificial ingredients, are high in sugar, sodium, and are heavily processed. Former President Donald Trump bashed President Joe Biden’s economy and reminded the administration that he “developed the vaccine when everyone said it wasn’t possible,” in a statement on Friday. “I developed the vaccine when everyone said it wasn’t possible, now without ‘Trump,’ that’s their only solution. This administration is destroying America before our very eyes because there is no leadership,” Trump said. Statement by Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States of America pic.twitter.com/Ln2a4EwjsM — RSBN ???????? (@RSBNetwork) December 3, 2021 During the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic in May 2020, Trump tweeted, “vaccine work is looking VERY promising, before end of year.” However, corporate media mocked Trump for his claim that a vaccine would be available before 2021. After Trump’s claim, NBC News suggested the former President was on “an accelerated timeline that prominent health experts and veteran vaccine developers say is unlikely absent a miracle.” With the help of Trump’s Operation Warp Speed, scientists successfully developed and received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval of a coronavirus vaccine in December 2020. Trump also criticized the disappointing November jobs report in his statement. Experts projected...
"Over the past six years or so, Soros has poured tens of millions of dollars into the campaigns of DA candidates from coast to coast, achieving a remarkable degree of success by simply overwhelming all the other candidates," Starbuck wrote. "Whereas normal DA candidates typically run on five-figure budgets, Soros-backed DA candidates routinely enjoy seven-figure war chests." "Just as President Barack Obama seized upon the notion of 'prosecutorial discretion' to grant de facto amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants after failing to get amnesty passed by Congress, Soros recognizes that local prosecutors can exercise the same discretion to selectively enforce laws," he added. "Rather than spending tens of millions of dollars per state on numerous higher-profile races for state lawmakers, he can spend comparatively smaller amounts on DA races knowing that the outcome will determine how — and even whether — laws are enforced." "It’s part of the Hungarian-born investor’s push of progressive policies around the world through his Open Society Foundations." Starbuck included the list of Soros-backed leftist prosecutors: Philly DA Larry Krasner, whose policies let Latif...

Much of what happened to Anna-Louise Bates on the terrible night a careless driver wiped out half of her family remains fragmented. She remembers pushing her daughter, Elizabeth, three, in the stroller as they walked home from a Christmas party.  Her husband, Stuart, and seven-year-old son, Fraser, were ahead. They were in high spirits, crossing the road while singing: 'I will walk 500 miles' from The Proclaimers' hit I'm Gonna Be. There was a bang. Screams. Sirens. Stuart, 43, died at the scene. Fraser, who suffered 'catastrophic injuries', was taken to intensive care at the Royal Glamorgan Hospital in Cardiff. Anna-Louise fell to her knees when doctors told her he was brain dead. 'You've just taken away my husband. You can't take away my son,' she wept. She recalls the conversation about organ donation. Paperwork. Kissing her son time and again. IT kills more than 11,500 men every year. And yet, despite being the most common type of cancer in men, hardly any of them know the signs of prostate cancer.  1Men who need to urinate more than often may have prostate cancer A staggering one in eight men will get prostate cancer in their lifetime. Most men with early prostate cancer don’t have any symptoms and there is no free NHS screening test like there are for other types of the disease. But there are some signs that should never be ignored and could mean the difference between getting early treatment or not. Because they don’t always appear, it’s also important to be aware of who is most at risk.  The prostate is a walnut-sized gland that sits underneath the bladder, with the role of carrying urine out the body and making semen.  Clueless A survey carried out for YouGov showed that a shocking seven in 10 men (68 per cent) are clueless about the symptoms of prostate cancer. Five British tourists who died when their helicopter burst into a fireball seconds after crashing in the Grand Canyon would have survived if it had used a fire resistant fuel, a coroner has ruled. Jonathan Udall, 31, and his 29-year-old wife Ellie died along with Rebecca Dobson, 26, her boyfriend Stuart Hill, 29, and his brother Jason Hill, 31, when their Airbus EC130 B4 crashed near the Colorado River in Arizona on February 10, 2018.  The group were on holiday to celebrate Stuart's 30th birthday, while the Mr and Mrs Udall were travelling as newlyweds and were making a trip to Las Vegas.  All five victims survived the initial impact, but died of thermal injuries and smoke inhalation after the helicopter caught fire 'within a matter of seconds' because it was not required to be fitted with a Crash Resistant Fuel System (CFRS) - a fuel that delays or decreases the likelihood of a post-crash fire. A sixth friend, 39-year-old Jennifer Dorricott, a solicitor, survived but suffered life-changing injuries in the crash. Pilot Scott Booth, of the tour operator Papillon,...
DUBLIN — A Livermore resident who faces charges of molesting two girls and hiding a camera in his own bathroom to record two other girls changing may soon be facing new molestation charges, prosecutors wrote in court papers late last month. Simon Meyer, 52, was first arrested last June, when he allegedly invited two neighborhood teens over to use his pool during a heat wave, then set up a camera in his bathroom to record them changing into bathing suits. Two months later, after his arrest was publicized, two women came forward with years-old allegations that Meyer had molested them when they were underage. But now, two new alleged victims have come forward, though prosecutors concede that one of them reported conduct that is outside the statute of limitations. One woman, known in court records by the pseudonym Jane Doe 3, told authorities that Meyer inappropriately touched her while purportedly helping her put on a bathing suit when her family and his family traveled to Lake Tulloch together. The woman was 15 at the time, prosecutors said in court records....

Biden once again sought to speak to reassure Americans who are focused on inflation or worried about the state of the economy – referencing mothers and fathers who are 'asking will there be enough food we can afford to buy for the holidays. Will we be able to get Christmas presents to the kids on time and if so, will they cost me an arm and a leg?' He made sure to show he is in tune to concerns about gas prices – including on the West Coast where they face high taxes. Age is just a number, goes the popular saying. Scientists in the U.S., however, believe we are focusing on the wrong number. They claim that rather than gauging the state of our health based on our age in calendar years, we should be measuring our inflammatory age. The scientists, from Stanford University and the Buck Institute for Research on Aging, have now developed a blood test to measure inflammatory age (or iAge), a measure of chronic inflammation — and say that checking it regularly could provide an early warning of inflammation-related conditions from heart disease to dementia.  This would give us the time to take measures to improve our health, from lifestyle changes to taking medication. As Dr Nazish Sayed, an assistant professor of vascular surgery at Stanford, explains: 'We are all going to age and we are all going to die — the only difference is how well we age,' he says.  'The goal is a healthier old age — to prevent some of the ill health associated with ageing and make ageing more graceful.' US  scientists have now...

Like Rep. Liz Cheney of Wyoming, Sen. Mitt Romney of Utah and Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger is among the conservative right-wing Republicans who has become persona non grata with the MAGA crowd for acknowledging that President Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump fair and square in the 2020 election and that widespread voter fraud did not occur. But as vehemently as far-right MAGA Republicans detest Raffensperger — and even though some of them have threatened violence against his family — he would not rule out the possibility of voting for Trump in 2024 when progressive firebrand Mehdi Hasan interviewed him on MSNBC recently.Watch Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, who has been verbally abused & threatened by Trump, whose family got death threats from Trump supporters, *refuse* to rule out voting for Trump again in 2024, in an interview with me.\n\nI was stunned.pic.twitter.com/AGAYD89aXC — Mehdi Hasan (@Mehdi Hasan)1637116008 Hasan, who isn't one to shy away from asking tough questions, asked Raffensperger if he would vote for Trump in 2024 should he be the next...
WORKING as a beauty therapist you are bound to get yourself into a few, ahem, hairy situations. However, one beautician was left horrified after discovering something particularly horrific during a bikini wax. 1A bikini waxer has shared the horrifying thing she discovered in one woman's pantsCredit: Getty Australian radio station KIIS FM recently asked listeners to call in with their “most outrageous thing you saw at work” — and it’s safe to say, the woman delivered. “I’m a beauty therapist and to be honest the most outrageous thing that I have ever come across is a dead moth wrapped up in someone’s (private area),” the woman named Paige told the hosts Will and Woody. “We just come across these things when you have to do intimate waxing with people. “I’d say it was probably because she hadn’t had it for a long time. A lot longer than a month or so.” The boys, who couldn’t quite believe what they were hearing, began to scream hysterically while repeatedly saying “Oh God”. Footage of their reaction was also shared to their TikTok,...
Prosecutors are claiming that Facebook deleted key evidence in a case against an extremist New Mexico militia group when it removed the group's page last year, and accuse the tech giant of refusing to retrieve needed information. District Attorney Raúl Torrez, of Bernalillo County in New Mexico, filed a lawsuit in June 2020 to limit the online activities of the New Mexico Civil Guard, a heavily armed self-described militia. The group clashed that month with protesters rallying to remove a statue of Spanish conquistador Juan de Oñate in Albuquerque. The violence ended in gunfire and left one protester seriously injured. While the shooter wasn’t a member of the militia, Torrez claimed its members perpetuated the chaos through posts and rhetoric on social media. The month after the protest, however, Facebook deactivated the group’s account for violating its policy, which bans hate speech and dangerous organizations. Now, the social media giant won't comply with a subpoena to produce content from the account. Savage Love I have a fun little labeling question. I'm a non-binary person who was assigned male at birth (AMAB). I gravitate towards femininity in life and in love. My question is about the inclusiveness of the label “lesbian.” Is this a label only for women? Or is it inclusive of everyone who is feminine and is attracted to femininity? My goal is to label myself appropriately without infringing on others.—All Loves Labeled Inclusively As labels go, ALLI, “lesbian” seems pretty darn binary to me. Now, the meaning of any given word evolves and changes over time, of course, and meaning follows use. But lesbian currently means—and is currently used to mean and will most likely continue to mean—a woman who is exclusively attracted to other women romantically and sexually*. So frankly, ALLI, I’m confused about why someone who’s your brand of non-binary (AMAB, femme and into femmes) would even want to identify as a lesbian. Since you’re neither a woman nor a man, ALLI, why would you want to use such a gendered label? (Why you might feel entitled...

Former New Jersey Gov. Maryland-based biotech company Novavax could soon bring a new coronavirus vaccine into the market about a year after Americans first rolled up their sleeves. The following include reader questions about the vaccine along with a few others compiled by the Herald and/or Novavax. When can I get a Novavax coronavirus vaccine? The vaccine, called NVX-CoV2373, is not currently available in the United States. The company expects to submit data to the Food and Drug Administration by the end of the year. Once authorization is requested, a rigorous review process will take place before the shot is cleared for use in the general public. What makes this coronavirus vaccine different from the ones we already have? The Novavax vaccine is protein-based and uses the same platform as shots for shingles and hepatitis. The proteins deliver immune stimulation directly into a person’s cells as opposed to a fragment of genetic code. It is not an mRNA as is the case with Moderna and Pfizer, or an adenovirus vector, such as the Johnson & Johnson vax. How does it work? The Novavax coronavirus...
According to the Telegraph, Issa hopes to roll out the device to classrooms, universities, and more following testing. "Themis was designed to be placed in intimate social settings, such as dinner parties or family gatherings, because based on our research, people are less likely to speak up when they get offended, unlike settings where people could be held accountable," Issa explained. "However, after exhibiting in GGS [Global Grad Show at Dubai Design Week], a lot of people were interested in having it in workspaces or even classrooms, so this is something that we want to develop Themis around. We'll plan on sending out more surveys to further understand Themis's target market and the audience it could reach and potentially testing it out within educational and work settings such as universities, schools, and offices." Issa added that she hopes the device will encourage those violating Themis' parameters to embark on a journey of "self-critique."
A newly-wed couple ended up in hospital on their wedding night after the groom crashed a £200,000 Lamborghini which then burst into flames, a court heard. Ali Zaman, 26, and his bride took their wedding guest's supercar for a spin after their marriage ceremony on February 15, 2020. But after 'macho posturing' with another driver at a set of traffic lights, in Bradford, West Yorkshire, Zaman sped off and collided with the motorist he had challenged to a race. The Lamborghini burst into flames after the smash-up and both vehicles were written off, while Zaman and his wife suffered minor injuries, Bradford Crown Court heard. Shocking video footage taken after the crash showed the totalled supercar engulfed in flames while emergency services were seen rushing to the scene. Zaman had taken the green Lamborghini Huracan without his guest's knowledge, the court was told.
DEAR MISS MANNERS: I am the happy mother of an absolutely delightful young woman who is currently in college. Everyone finds her charming, and I must say I privately thrill at the compliments she often receives, as I raised her nearly entirely on my own. (My husband always worked long hours, and I stayed home and then worked in my daughter’s schools.) I do claim much of the credit for her sweet disposition — in my own mind, not obnoxiously or out loud. My mother-in-law, who has never treated me with any amount of kindness, has taken to stating in mixed company that my husband’s cousin was “like a second mother” to my daughter and “helped raise her.” She says this every time this cousin is around. I have no clue why the cousin would let this statement go; she knows, as do my husband and I, that she had nothing to do with our daughter’s upbringing. She merely babysat twice, maybe thrice, before we moved to a different state when our daughter was 3 years old. (My mother-in-law...
