House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Tuesday called for New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) to resign after New York Attorney General Letitia James (D) said an investigation showed he sexually harassed and inappropriately touched multiple women. Pelosi said in a statement: Under Attorney General Letitia James, a comprehensive and independent investigation into the allegations against Governor Cuomo has been completed. As always, I commend the women who came forward to speak their truth. Recognizing his love of New York and the respect for the office he holds, I call upon the Governor to resign. Earlier in the day, a string of progressive lawmakers, local politicians, and pundits called for his resignation or for him to be impeached if he did not resign. Some also called for Cuomo’s brother, CNN anchor Chris Cuomo, to resign. Republicans are also calling for Cuomo to resign. Hours after the...

(Photo by Frederick Breedon/Getty Images) After more than a month of the Chicago Bears trying to figure out what to do with veteran quarterback Nick Foles, numerous members of the New York media are pleading for the Jets to get a trade done immediately. The Jets have been spending the past two weeks of voluntary OTAs trying to figure the future of their quarterback position after trading away starter Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers. While there is no question that Zach Wilson — the No. 2 overall selection in the 2021 NFL draft — is destined for the top job, Jets insiders who have been present for their open practices have depicted a hopeless backup situation behind him between 2020 fourth-rounder James Morgan and Mike White. And that’s where Foles comes into play. After watching the #Jets backup QBs they need to get Nick Foles on the...
By Ann Wang HSINCHU, Taiwan (Reuters) - Taiwan is drilling wells, seeding clouds and beseeching a gold-faced sea goddess to help the sub-tropical island ride out its most serious drought in about half a century, after rain-soaking typhoons failed to make landfall last year. The drought is worst across a band of western Taiwan, including the major metropolises of Hsinchu, home to many of Taiwan's renowned tech firms, Taichung in the centre of the island, and Tainan and Kaohsiung to the south. Water levels in four major reservoirs have fallen to around or below one-tenth of capacity. Some chipmakers are buying water by the truckload for their foundries, though supplies so far are generally continuing uninterrupted for households. Chiang Ming-lang, director of the Water Resources Agency's northern region, told Reuters they have been piping in water from other reservoirs to the main one for Hsinchu, but it was still not enough and they were now drilling wells. "Nobody wants to lack water. But if the heavens don't open then that's not something you or I can control," he said. "Though...

‘God And History Have Called Upon Us’: Joe Biden And Kamala Harris Claim Victory In Presidential Election (VIDEO)
Former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Kamala Harris claimed victory Saturday night over President Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election. Biden and Harris delivered speeches before blaring car horns at a socially-distanced victory rally in Biden’s hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. Biden declared victory hours after Fox News, the Associated Press and numerous other outlets called the race in his favor earlier Saturday. Trump, however, has declared that the election is “far from over,” pointing to states like Georgia headed toward likely automatic recounts and his campaign’s various legal challenges to vote counts across the country. Biden: “I pledge to be a president who seeks not to divide, but unify. Who doesn’t see red states and blue states, only sees the United States. I work with all my heart with the confidence of the whole people to win the confidence of all of you.” pic.twitter.com/qmVAxtWfYq — Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) November 8, 2020 Biden vowed to “get COVID under control,” as well as address climate change and racial tensions. He said he would name a group of experts on...
Getty Eagles quarterbacks Carson Wentz, Nate Sudfeld and Jalen Hurts get some work in at practice. The Eagles aren’t going to make a quarterback change right now or anytime soon. Doug Pederson said his “mind wasn’t there” to pull the plug on Carson Wentz even after the face of the franchise committed four turnovers against Dallas. The head coach was determined to give Wentz every opportunity to win Sunday’s game. Which he did, albeit in a sometimes painful and reckless fashion. Watching Wentz has brought to mind a certain ex-Eagles signal-caller who went through a similar stretch of misfortune. Donovan McNabb was benched in 2008 after coughing the ball up seven times in six quarters. McNabb sat out two quarters and then returned with gusto the following week. Wentz has 16 total giveaways in 2020, including five turnovers in his last seven quarters. He leads the league in interceptions (12) and sacks (32) while ranking second in total fumbles (7) and fumbles lost (4). While it hasn’t been fun to watch, there is no lack of confidence in...
The House could be called upon to decide the presidential election winner if the Electoral College outcome is not clear by Jan. 6.  It’s only happened three times in history that the U.S. House of Representatives was involved in determining the winner of the presidential election. But this election year, the House could be called upon again to do just that — and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi isn't leaving "anything to chance." "House Majority PAC is doing everything it can to win more delegations for Democrats," Pelosi said over the weekend in a letter to Democratic colleagues, according to NPR. "It's sad we have to have to plan this way, but it's what we must do to ensure the election is not stolen."
Oregon fires: 10 people are dead and 22 missing. Now officials have set up a mobile morgue 100,000 Restaurants Have Closed, New Report Says Upon further review, Vic Fangio thinks he should’ve called timeout Broncos head coach Vic Fangio had two timeouts in his pocket when Monday night’s 16-14 loss to the Titans came to an end, which led to questions at his postgame press conference about why he didn’t use them to give his team more time to try to win the game in the final seconds. © Getty Images Fangio said they didn’t want to extend the drive so that Tennessee was kicking a shorter field goal while noting that there was no reason to call them after Derrick Henry ran out of bounds and Ryan Tannehill threw an incompletion. Fangio could have called one with 1:27 to play after a 13-yard run by Henry that preceded those plays, however, or after a 4-yard-run on the next snap. Nearly a minute ran off the clock before the Titans used a timeout of their own following the second...

Winona Ryder has recalled a run-in with Mel Gibson during a 1995 party. The Heathers actress, 48, remembered the Braveheart star, 64, asking her if she was an 'oven-dodger', an apparent reference to her Jewish faith, in an interview with the Sunday Times over the weekend.  'We were at a crowded party with one of my good friends, and Mel Gibson was smoking a cigar,' began the Black Swan actress.  Winona Ryder [L, January 2020] has recalled a run-in with Mel Gibson [R, January 2019] during a 1995 party Winona -whose birth name is Winona Laura Horowitz- said when the issue of her faith came up, Mel asked, 'You’re not an oven dodger, are you?'  The slur is a reference to the method by which Jewish bodies were incinerated during the Holocaust. Ryder also claimed that at the same party, the Passion of the Christ director asked her friend, who was gay, 'Oh, wait, am I gonna get AIDS?'  Gibson's reps have refuted the claims, telling TooFab, 'This is 100% untrue. She lied about it over a decade ago,...
