In his first start since December of last year as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars, Minshew helped lead Philadelphia to a 31-18 victory over the New York Jets. After the game, Minshew caught up with his father, who made it to the game at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J., and he was fired up. But I am grateful for the times we shared, and for the friendship Jill and I and our family have built with Liddy and the entire Dole family. … He had an unerring sense of integrity and honor. After CNN anchor Chris Cuomo was fired from the scandal-plagued liberal network on Saturday night, many on Twitter were quick to give their reaction. Cuomo was fired after "a respected law firm" conducted an internal review of his involvement in helping his brother, disgraced former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, in his defense regarding sexual harassment allegations. CNN's announcement noted that during the internal review "additional information" was found. Reaction poured in moments after the announcement was made. "So glad we will never see this again," Fox News' Janice Dean, whose in-laws died following Andrew Cuomo's COVID nursing home scandal in 2020, tweeted following the announcement. Conservative political strategist Caleb Hull tweeted that Cuomo should have been fired "a long time ago." "Chris Cuomo should have been fired a long time ago when he tested positive for COVID, left his house anyway, got into a fight with a cyclist, and then making a spectacle of him leaving quarantine for the ‘first time' when we all knew the truth," Hull said. Washington Examiner reporter Jerry Dunleavy said on Twitter that Cuomo...

LIONEL MESSI won his seventh Ballon d'Or last night much to the dismay of some of his peers in football. The Argentine made it consecutive wins at the star-studded ceremony after picking up the gong in 2019. 1Messi's seventh Ballon d'Or win caused uproar amongst football's eliteCredit: Rex But Messi's hardly set the world alight since joining Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona this summer - leaving several of football's elite questioning the decision to hand him the prestigious gong. Leading the outcry was German legend Lothar Matthäus who claimed Messi's win was incredulous, stating: "Honestly, I don't understand anything anymore." In Matthaus' eyes, Bayern Munich ace Robert Lewandowski who finished as runner-up to Messi, was the worthy winner of the accolade. He raged, reported by Mundo Deportivo: "With all due respect to Messi and the other great players named, none deserved it as much as Lewandowski." Matthaus' ex-Bayern team-mate Oliver Kahn whose now the Bavarian side's CEO also reckons Lewandowski should've been given the golden globe-shaped award. Reaction to the death of Lee Elder, the first Black golfer to play at the Masters: “Lee Elder was a pioneer, and in so many ways. Yes, he was the first black golfer to play in the Masters Tournament, but that simply underlined the hard work Lee put in to further the cause of everyone who has a dream to play on the PGA Tour and perhaps thinks there were too many barriers before them. It was wonderful that the Masters Tournament and Augusta National paid a well-deserved tribute to Lee by inviting him to be an honorary starter on this last Masters. That morning, you could see the joy in Lee’s face, and Gary Player and I were honored to enjoy that moment with him. That memory will remain special for so many, including me, for many years to come.” — 18-time major champion Jack Nicklaus. “It’s remarkable to look back on Lee’s life and career and realize the hardships he endured and the sacrifices he made to reach golf’s highest level. On Tuesday, a federal jury awarded $26 million in damages to those affected by the 2017 “Unite the Right” rally, when white supremacists clashed with counterprotesters, killing one and injuring dozens. And on Monday they released the results, including fifteen specific recommendations for Big Tech, government regulators, newsrooms, civil society, and other stakeholders."To be clear, information disorder is a problem that cannot be completely solved," co-chairs Katie Couric, Chris Krebs and Rashad Robinson wrote in the report. "Its eradication is not the end goal. Instead, the Commission's goal is to mitigate misinformation's worst harms with prioritization for the most vulnerable segments of our society."Robinson, the president of Color of Change, discussed the subject on Sunday's "Reliable Sources." James Franklin’s reaction to a missed field goal was both not safe for work and epitomized how Penn State football fans are really feeling these days. With a chance to upset the No. 6 Michigan Wolverines, James Franklin’s Penn State football team is blowing its big opportunity with one special teams gaffe after another. Down 14-6 to visiting Michigan, Franklin reacted to a bad miss on a field goal attempt off the foot of Jordan Stout.
