DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) — There was an old fashioned cattle drive in Douglas County over the weekend. On Sunday, cowboys and cowgirls worked at Sterling Ranch to move more than 40 head of cattle from their summer pastures to their winter homes. Officials say the traditional move helps reduce the fire danger. The cattle moved across Sterling Ranch, a 3,400 acre housing community. “Cattle drives are a longtime western tradition and grazing of cattle is a key part of the strategy of building a robust ecosystem,” officials with Sterling Ranch stated. “By grazing the land, fire risk is reduced as excessive grass fuel is eliminated.” Rotating the areas where cattle graze also advances a healthier ecosystem in several other ways. “The hooves of the cattle aerate the land and the manure fertilizes the land,” officials noted. It was also good fun for people living in the area, who got to see the cattle on the move.

MANCHESTER, England (AP) — Raheem Sterling ended his scoring drought as Manchester City netted three second-half goals Wednesday to move closer to the Champions League knockout rounds with a 4-1 win over Club Brugge. Phil Foden gave Pep Guardiola’s side an early lead in the Group A game at the Etihad Stadium but a bizarre own goal from John Stones pulled the visitors level in the 17th minute. City then pulled away after the break through goals from Riyad Mahrez, Sterling and Gabriel Jesus to go top of the group, one point ahead of Paris Saint-Germain. The result meant City, which reached the final last year, only needs a point from the last two group games to return to the knockout stages. PSG was held to a 2-2 draw by RB Leipzig in the other group game. Kevin De Bruyne was unexpectedly named among the substitutes in one of three changes from the weekend’s Premier League loss to Crystal Palace — perhaps with next weekend’s derby at Manchester United in mind — but City started on the front...

Aljamain Sterling has some words for the new interim bantamweight champion, Petr Yan.  It comes as no surprise that current UFC bantamweight champ Aljamain Sterling spent his afternoon closely watching the highly-anticipated battle between Petr Yan and Cory Sandhagen at UFC 267 in Abu Dhabi. The fight between Yan and Sandhagen went to the distance. It was a back and forth war from the first bell. Although there were moments when Sandhagen was able to present some danger, Yan demonstrated why he is recognized as the most dangerous fighter in the division and has now earned his second piece of UFC bantamweight gold. After Yan had the belt wrapped around his waist, Sterling immediately took to Twitter to share his thoughts on the fight. He showed a hint of respect but with the knowledge that he will once again face Yan to unify the belt, also threw in a dig. Brilliant fight men! I have it 48-47 for Yan. You earned this first ass whooping! Rest up and enjoy the work you did. I’ll see you soon! #UFC267 — Aljamain...

20 songs that should have won a Grammy Houses in These Cities Are Suddenly Major Bargains During an open workout in Abu Dhabi earlier in the week, Petr Yan approached his coach, who had dropped to one knee. Suddenly, Yan leapt into the air and the coach went tumbling over backward. It was meant as a joke, a play on the reason why Yan won’t walk to the cage with the belt around his waist on Saturday in Etihad Arena, when he faces Cory Sandhagen for the interim bantamweight championship in the co-main event of UFC 267. In Yan’s last fight, in March in Las Vegas against Aljamain Sterling, he was on his way to a one-sided victory when he committed what might well be the most egregious, flagrant and perplexing foul in the history of the UFC. Sterling was clearly down when Yan kneed him in the head. When a doctor determined Sterling could not continue, Yan was disqualified and Sterling lifted the belt from him. They were supposed to rematch on Saturday for Sterling’s belt, but Sterling...
ARSENAL could be dealt a blow in their pursuit of Raheem Sterling if Xavi takes over as Barcelona manager, according to reports. According to journalist Gerard Romero, Xavi is a big fan of the England star and could try to lure him to the Nou Camp if he becomes manager. That threatens the Gunners' chances of bringing Sterling back to London, with the forward previously admitting he would like to play abroad. He said: "If there was the option to go somewhere else for more game time, I would be open to it. “Football is the most important thing to me — challenges that I have set myself from a young age and...

Getty Boxer Floyd Mayweather attends a Los Angeles Clippers game in 2014. Paul George not getting the help he needed wasn’t the only thing that stunk during the LA Clippers-Memphis Grizzlies affair on Saturday. The same could apparently be said for legendary boxer Floyd Mayweather’s attitude toward a fan who requested a selfie. As reported by TMZ, Mayweather rejected a male teenage fan who wanted to get his picture taken with the former multi-time world champion. The reason — the kid had painted his fingernails black. Video footage of the incident that was shot by the fan showed him on the floor, attempting to get the picture when Mayweather said, “You got painted nails; I don’t take pictures with guys with no painted nails.” Shortly thereafter, he was warned to back up from Mayweather. The fan responded by accusing Mayweather of being homophobic. Per the report, witnesses told TMZ that Mayweather was very approachable otherwise,  “posing and smiling” on the court with another young fan.Mayweather’s Past Clippers-Related Controversy Play GRIZZLIES at CLIPPERS | FULL GAME HIGHLIGHTS |...
