Trump run for President:

latest news at page 1:
By Michael Warren | CNN Dr. Mehmet Oz, a cardiothoracic surgeon and television personality, is running for the US Senate in Pennsylvania as a Republican, according to an op-ed published Tuesday in the conservative Washington Examiner. “During the pandemic, I learned that when you mix politics and medicine, you get politics instead of solutions. That’s why I am running for the U.S. Senate: to help fix the problems and to help us heal,” Oz wrote. The 61-year-old Oz will join a Republican primary field that already includes Philadelphia-area businessman (and 2018 lieutenant governor nominee) Jeff Bartos and Carla Sands, who served as US ambassador to Denmark in the Trump administration. Another potential Republican candidate is David McCormick, a former official in the Treasury Department under President George W. Bush. The race in Pennsylvania to succeed retiring Republican Sen. Pat Toomey has been shaken up in recent weeks, primarily by the departure of GOP candidate Sean Parnell, who was endorsed by former President Donald Trump. Oz is an Ohio native who attended medical school at the University of Pennsylvania. He rose...
Former US president Donald Trump has spoken about Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Boris Johnson and the Capitol Hill riot in a GB News interview with Nigel Farage. The show, which will be broadcast at 7pm tomorrow, has been billed as a 'world exclusive' and will also see Mr Trump asked whether he will run for president again. A preview clip with dramatic music showed the duo sitting together, had a tagline saying 'nothing is off limits' and revealed they will also discuss climate change.  Former US president Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Nigel Farage for GB News The interview, which will be broadcast at 7pm tomorrow, has been billed as a 'world exclusive' The interview was promoted by Mr Farage, who told his 1.6million followers: 'Don't miss it!' Donald Trump's disgraced ex-fixer says he's convinced the former president won't run for the White House again - and that he's only teasing a second stint in office to keep donor cash flowing in.    Cohen, speaking to Meet the Press on Sunday, said that Trump will not run and merely hold on for as long as possible to collect money from donors and 'keep the grift going.' The former lawyer turned Trump critic - who spent prison time for tax evasion and campaign finance violations - said that Trump is running the greatest grift in American history.     'Donald Trump has made it very clear, right, that he is grifting off of the American people, these supporters, these individuals that are just sending money to him at record levels,' Cohen told host Chuck Todd. 'It's really amazing that people don't see exactly what the guy is doing,' he added. In August, Trump was revealed to have raised more than $100 million from donors since leaving office, with that war chest likely to have swollen substantially since then.  President Trump's former lawyer Michael...
moreby Casey Harper   White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki confirmed that President Joe Biden will run for reelection in 2024, but critics have been quick to point out economic difficulties during his presidency. Psaki addressed reporters’ questions about previous reporting that Biden would run for the White House again in 2024, saying, “That’s his intention.” Biden would be 82 years old at the start of his second term. “The only thing I’ve heard him say is he’s planning on running again,” former Connecticut Sen. Chris Dodd told the Washington Post, which first reported the news. “And I’m glad he is.” A Washington Post-ABC News poll released earlier this month showed that Biden’s approval rating has decreased to about 41%. Meanwhile, 53% disapprove of his job as president, putting his approval figures at the lowest since he took office. Behind this fall in approval has been rising inflation, gas prices, and the supply chain shortage, all of which have become major economic concerns for many Americans. The Post/ABC poll reports that Biden’s approval rating on the economy has dropped to 39%, which is worse than...
SPECULATIONS have begun as to whether former President Donald Trump will hit the campaign trail in 2024. Here's what we know about Trump's potential return to The White House. 2Donald Trump can still run for president in 2024 unless Senators pass a measure banning him from holding public officeCredit: AFP How did Donald Trump hint at a return to The White House? After the news broke that Facebook banned Trump from the platform for at least two years, he released a statement implying his return to the presidency. He said: “Next time I’m in the White House there will be no more dinners, at his request, with Mark Zuckerberg and his wife. It will be all business!”  On June 4, Facebook officially disclosed their decision to ban the former president from the social media platform for two years, extending his suspension following the insurrection on January 6. Facebook said: “At the end of this period, if we determine that there is still a serious risk to public safety, we will extend the restriction for a set period of...
Former President Donald Trump has not yet announced another White House run, but more and more signs suggest he's testing the waters ahead of an official 2024 campaign announcement. Trump's post-White House super PAC, Make America Great Again, Again, recently commissioned a head-to-head poll pitting the 45th president against his successor, President Joe Biden. The poll, conducted between Nov. 11-16, showed Trump besting Biden in Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, all states that were critical to Biden's 2020 victory. INFLATION DEFLATES SUPPORT FOR BIDEN'S $1.75 TRILLION SOCIAL SPENDING PACKAGE “Poll after poll clearly demonstrates that former President Donald Trump is still the 800-pound gorilla in the GOP and would be its 2024 nominee should he run," Tony Fabrizio, who conducted the poll on behalf of MAGAA, told Politico of the results. “This new data clearly shows that today the voters in these five key states would be happy to return Trump to the White House and send Biden packing." Furthermore, Trump will expand his campaign war chest, currently worth an estimated $100 million, on Dec. 2, when a...
Donald Trump has all but formally announced his intentions to run for the presidency again in 2024, and  his team is honing in on taking back five states Biden won in 2020 that he'd won in 2016.  The former president's shadow campaign team polled Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, all of which were decided in favor of President Biden by 3 percentage points or less. The team found that in Georgia, Trump would be ahead by 3 points, 8 points in Arizona, 12 points in Michigan, 6 points in Pennsylvania and 10 points in Wisconsin, if the race were held today.  Together, the states represent 73 electoral votes. Trump lost to Biden in 2020 by 74.  Trump has still refused to concede his loss, and challenged the election results in all five of the states, going to the greatest lengths to overturn Biden's win in Arizona.  Donald Trump has all but formally announced his intentions to run for the presidency again in 2024, and his team is honing in on taking back five states Biden won in 2020...
President Joe Biden and a loyal group of advisers are reassuring Democratic allies he will seek a second term in the White House despite concerns about his health and his declining poll numbers. Biden, 79, has said both publicly and privately he will run again in 2024 but the behind-the-scenes outreach shows how jittery Democrats are about their leader and who would replace him at the top of the ticket should he not be on the ballot.  And some Democrats are even saying it doesn't matter whether or not Biden runs because anyone in their party could beat Donald Trump should the former president make good on his threat to run again. The chatter about Biden's political future comes as his approval rating sits in the low 40s, the party is suffering from in-fighting, the Democratic candidate lost the Virginia's gubernatorial race, and inflation soars around the country - along with the prices of food and gas. His advisers are making the calls to party faithful, The Washington Post reported while Biden privately told donors at a virtual fundraiser this month...
According to a report from the Atlantic's Peter Nicholas, a close adviser to former president Donald Trump admitted they are "rehearsing" arguments intended to convince the former president that another presidential run in 2024 could end in disaster and embarrassment. As Nicholas wrote, despite polls showing Trump to be the odds-on choice to be the Republican Party presidential nominee in 2024, there are signs that there is a building movement against him among conservatives who are being more vocal about moving on without him. Noting the election of Republican Glenn Youngkin as the new governor of Virginia who kept his distance from the twice-impeached former president as one key data point, Nicholas wrote that Trump's influence over GOP lawmakers is showing cracks. According to Nicholas, "If Donald Trump tries to run for president again, one of his former campaign advisers has a plan to dissuade him. Anticipating that Trump may not know who Adlai Stevenson was or that he lost two straight presidential elections in the 1950s, this ex-adviser figures he or someone else might need to explain the man's...
PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Senate President Jake Corman has joined the crowded race for governor of Pennsylvania. Corman thinks he has something the other candidates do not have. He’s the senior Republican senator in Harrisburg, but Corman is hardly a household name beyond the political world. He hopes to change that in the weeks ahead. READ MORE: Sen. Bob Casey Predicts Neighboring Sen. Joe Manchin Will Be On Board To Pass Build Back Better Plan“I’m a husband, married for 20 years. We have a daughter in college and two young boys in high school,” Corman told KDKA political editor Jon Delano. “A Little League coach at one time, just like everyone else, active in my community, raising my children. I’ve had a career in public service. Something I’m very proud of.” With over 22 years of seniority in the Senate, Corman, who comes from Bellefonte just outside State College, says it’s his years of government experience that differentiates him from the 10 other Republicans in the race. “What I try to do is just to get things done. I don’t care...

Popular radio host Howard Stern has vowed to run for president if Donald Trump tries again in 2024 - and insists he'll beat his former friend. During his radio show Tuesday morning, Stern claimed he has accepted that he may have to serve his 'civic duty' and run against Trump saying he knows he'll 'beat his a**.' Stern claims he is as prominent in the American public's conscience as Trump, meaning any presidential campaign would quickly gain traction.  The claims came as Stern noted the attention that his statements about Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers vaccine scandal the day before drew in.  Stern slammed Rodgers, who tested positive for Covid last week, for lying about being vaccinated calling him a 'scumbag' and suggesting that he be fired from the NFL.  On Tuesday's show, the shock jock suggested that if his comments on Rodgers were 'big news' then he is sufficiently popular among the public to make a presidential bid.  Howard Stern (left) and his co-host Robin Quivers discussed Stern's potential 2024 presidential campaign against Donald Trump Stern and Trump were...
Speaking for himself, DeSantis said in September that speculation about 2024 is "nonsense" and that he's focused on re-election next year. Of course, politicians typically deny that they want to run for president when they're thinking about running for president. But whatever presidential ambitions DeSantis may or may not have are largely in the shadow of former President Donald Trump's apparent ambitions to retake the White House from Joe Biden. Though he's made no official announcement, Trump has repeatedly told his supporters they're going to be "very happy" with his ultimate decision on 2024. The "will he, won't he" speculation over Trump has frozen other prospective GOP presidential candidates, who would face the daunting task of mounting a primary challenge against the former president, who is still overwhelmingly popular with Republicans, if he runs. A Trump comeback campaign is likely to dominate resources that are necessary to run for president — namely big-money donors, grassroots volunteers, and endorsements. Some of Trump's allies, like Stone, are already playing offense for Trump by attempting to...
Outgoing Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois, one of Donald Trump's most aggressive Republican critics, is reportedly toying with the idea of a run for higher office after he retires from the House in early 2022, he indicated on Thursday.  He's one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump over the Capitol riot.  He told CNN today that he 'definitely' wouldn't rule out a 2024 presidential bid after last week announcing he won't seek re-election. The 43-year-old Air Force veteran said he's at least mulling a run for Senate or governor of his state, which is currently run by Democrat JB Pritzker.  Kinzinger anticipates he'll 'probably' have a decision made not soon after he leaves office in January or February.  'I never rule anything out,' he said today. 'The key is, how do we restore the honor of the party in the country?' But winning the White House is a difficult path for the Republican who made his name criticizing a president of his own party and joining a Democrat-led panel investigating Trump's actions concerning the January 6 Capitol riot. According...
New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman says former secretary of state Mike Pompeo is already talking about running for president, no matter what his old boss — former President Donald Trump — decides to do in 2024. Haberman joined New Day on Monday to talk about Trump’s appearance at the World Series in Atlanta over the weekend. At one point, John Berman asked Haberman her thoughts about Senator Tim Scott (R-SC) saying he would support Trump if he were to run for president again. Haberman said she heard Scott’s name being passed around for 2024 among “Republicans who liked Trump’s policies [but] did not like Trump’s behavior.” She referred to private conversations among Republicans that she knows about, and said: “Mike Pompeo has told a number of people he told Trump directly he will run even if Trump runs.” “Did [Trump] get annoyed?” Haberman asked hypothetically. “We’re never going to know, it’s a conversation between the two of them, but [Pompeo] is one of the people saying that.” Haberman added that former President Mike Pence is also a possible candidate...
Saying that he can’t run for reelection to Congress while at the same time waging a broader war for the future of the Republican Party, Rep. Adam Kinzinger of Illinois on Friday announced that he wouldn’t run for reelection next year. The six-term conservative congressman and combat pilot veteran made headlines in January as the second most high-profile of the 10 House Republicans to vote to impeach then-President Donald Trump. He now becomes the second of that group to not seek another two-year term in the House in the 2022 midterm elections, following Rep. Anthony Gonzales of Ohio. As he fights to support the GOP from its current domination by the former president and works to back other anti-Trump Republicans, Kinzinger stressed in video announcing his decision that it has "become increasingly obvious to me that in order to break the narrative, I cannot focus on both a reelection to Congress and a broader fight nationwide." WHO IS ADAM KINZINGER: THE CONSERVATIVE CONGRESSMAN TURNED ANTI-TRUMP GOP LEADER "I want to make it clear, this isn’t the end of my political...
Former President Donald Trump released a statement on lambasting Democrats' proposed billionaire's tax and said it would leave the country 'high and dry' on Wednesday.  The Republican, estimated to be a billionaire himself, suggested he'd leave the United States to avoid paying the penalty but then said he'd 'stick it out.' Democrats put details of their new tax proposal forward early on Wednesday as a way to pay for President Joe Biden's Build Back Better agenda. It was quickly derailed by bipartisan concerns and questions over the plan's constitutionality. 'What country will be the primary beneficiary from a “Billionaires Tax,” or Wealth Tax? Where will wealthy people and companies move to, leaving the United States high and dry?' Trump said in an emailed statement. 'Most don’t need to be in the U.S. anyway. I know all of those very smartly run countries, and they are all thrilled by what the Radical Left maniacs are doing in Congress. 'I just wonder, will I be allowed to run for president again if I move to another country? No, I guess I’ll just...

Scaramucci's comments on "Squawk Box" came as shares of special purpose acquisition company Digital World Acquisition Corp., which plans to merge with the newly created Trump Media & Technology Group, soared again in Friday's premarket trading. Shortly after Wall Street's open, DWAC again surged higher, one day after shares jumped more than 350% to close at $35.54 apiece on the late Wednesday tie-up announcement. "I want that thing to go up like another 10 times. The more it goes up, the less likelihood Donald Trump is running for president in 2024, so I'm rooting for that SPAC," said Scaramucci, who founded the hedge fund SkyBridge Capital and served as White House communications for a mere 10 days in July 2017. Scaramucci said Trump is dangerous to American democracy. "He was part of the...
Two-thirds of Republican voters endorse former President Donald Trump’s potential bid for office in 2024, a Wednesday poll showed. Fifty-one percent of Republican and Republican-leaning respondents of the new Morning Consult/Politico poll said that Trump should “definitely” run again, and 16% of them responded that he “probably” should launch a presidential campaign in 2024. The poll surveyed 1,999 registered voters between Oct. 8-11. There is a +/- 2 percentage point margin of error. Only 14% of Republicans were strongly opposed a Trump reelection bid, while 15% of them said he should “probably not” run again, and 4% had no concrete opinion. ???????????? Nevertheless, the 60-year-old actor and director waded into politics during an interview with the BBC’s Andrew Marr. Clooney, a longtime supporter of U.S. President Joe Biden, described America as a country that is still recovering from the damage caused by Donald Trump. When asked whether he had any intentions of running for office, Clooney was quick to dismiss the idea. “No, because I would actually like to have a nice life,” said Clooney, who appeared on the show to promote his new movie, The Tender Bar.  Clooney said he planned to take on fewer projects while he is healthy and can still “play basketball and do the things I love.” “I turned 60 this year and I had a conversation with my wife and...
Senate Republicans have shared they hope former President Donald Trump does not announce another run for the White House – especially before the 2022 midterms, a Sunday report reveals. Several GOP senators told The Hill that they don't want Trump at the helm of their party. 'I think we're better off when he's not part of any story,' one Republican senator, who said his view is widely shared in the GOP conference, said. 'He's a clinical narcissist,' the senator continued. 'He threw away the election in the debate with Biden and he threw away the Senate out of spite.' The lawmaker was referring to Trump's first debate against then-candidate Joe Biden and the former president's influence on Republican voter turnout in the Georgia special election just weeks before he vacated office. Former President Trump on Saturday gave his endorsement to Sen. Chuck Grassley, the 88-year-old Iowa Republican bidding next year to win an eighth term in the Senate. The backing of the party's most visible figure will provide a lift to G.O.P. leaders ahead of next year's midterms but it might not have happened after Grassley criticized Trump's role in the Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. 'We have with us tonight a great American patriot. A man who truly loves Iowa,' said Trump before thousands of fans at the Iowa State Fairgrounds. 'He's young, very young guy, he's strong. And he's very handsome. 'He fights like no other. When I've needed him for help, he was always there.'   Grassley joined Trump on stage and thanked him for his endorsement. 'If I didn't accept the endorsement of a person that's got 91% of the Republican voters in Iowa I wouldn't be too smart, he said.  'I'm smart enough to accept that endorsement.'  'We have with us tonight a great American patriot. A man who truly loves Iowa,' said former President...
Former President Trump blasted members of his own party on Saturday, demanding that Congressional Republicans show some 'spine' as he unleashed his anger after they allowed President Biden more time to raise the debt ceiling. In front of thousands of adoring fans at the Iowa State Fairgrounds, he delivered a greatest hits show.  He attacked Biden's spending plans as a 'socialist calamity' that would unleash stagflation, boasted that he never conceded the 2020 election but directed his biggest blast of anger at Republican Senate leader Mitch McConnell for working with Democrats to lift the debt ceiling. 'Congressional Republicans must stay strong. This isn't the time for Republicans to fold, to walk away, to quit, to be afraid,' he said. 'Whatever happens, happens. Don't worry about being impeached, don't worry about anything... 'But they just don't seem to have the spine some of them.' Last week 11 Republican senators voted with Democrats to suspend the filibuster, effectively allowing them more time to stave off a looming debt default. 'They can now have two more months to work out how to screw...
(CNN)Liz Cheney is going to New Hampshire. In early November she will travel to the Granite State to speak at an event honoring the First Amendment at the St. Anselm College's Institute of Politics. This is not a random trip. Politicians with national profiles -- or those who want national profiles -- go to New Hampshire (and Iowa) for one reason and one reason only: To stoke speculation that they may well run for president at some point in the future. And that is exactly what Cheney is doing here. Consider that as recently as late April Cheney left the door wide open to a presidential bid in 2024. "I'm not ruling anything in or out — ever is a long time," she told the New York Post at the time. Shortly after being removed from her 3rd ranking post in House leadership for her criticism of Donald Trump, Cheney said that she would do "whatever it takes" to ensure that the former president was not the Republican standard-bearer in 2024.Read MoreEyebrows raised! Joe Rogan , host of The Joe Rogan Experience and a UFC commentator, suggested that former President Donald Trump will not only run for president in 2024 but that he will win. Speaking with Amanda Knox, the woman who was acquitted in Italy's Supreme Court after being accused of murder as an exchange student, on his podcast, Rogan said Trump would "100% try" after being asked if he thinks the 45th president will run in 2024. "He's probably going to win," Rogan said following Knox's comparison between former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and Trump. FIVE REASONS BIDEN’S APPROVAL RATINGS HAVE TAKEN A POUNDING "How is Joe Biden going to win? How is it possible he's going to beat anybody?" Rogan asked. "After you've seen him speak, after you've seen the decay and the decline, how is that possible? They've done a terrible job. The Democrats f***ed up royally by making that guy the president." Biden is "not very inspiring," Knox said, but she suggested that Democrats would likely let someone else run, such...
MIKE Pence will launch a bid for president in 2024 but has no chance of winning the nomination as he’s likely to face an “angry and emboldened” Donald Trump, an ex-White House aide says. Former President Donald Trump tore into outgoing Ohio Republican Rep. Anthony Gonzalez on Friday morning, after the lawmaker announced he wouldn't be seeking re-election with an outgoing message where he called Trump a 'cancer' and denounced 'toxic dynamics within my own party.' Trump accused Gonzalez of being a 'Republican in name only' and reiterated his support for his own former aide's 2022 primary bid for the seat in an impassioned statement sent by Trump's Save America PAC.  'Good riddance to Anthony, he can now get himself a job at ratings-dead CNN or MSDNC!' the ex-president said. Gonzalez was once a top recruit for the House GOP, but he quickly fell from favor after being one of 10 Republican lawmakers who voted to impeach Trump following the Capitol riot.  He was censured by the Ohio Republican Party as a result.    'RINO Congressman Anthony Gonzalez, who has poorly represented his district in the Great State of Ohio, has decided to quit after enduring a tremendous loss of popularity, of which he had little, since his ill-informed and otherwise very stupid impeachment vote...
Rep. Anthony Gonzalez (R-OH) said in an interview Thursday that he would not run for re-election in 2022 because of former President Donald Trump’s influence on the Republican Party. Gonzalez was one of 10 Republicans who voted to impeach Trump, and the former president backed Gonzalez’s primary opponent in retaliation. Speaking to The New York Times, Gonzalez called Trump “a cancer for the country” and said, “Politically the environment is so toxic, especially in our own party right now. I don’t believe he can ever be president again. Most of my political energy will be spent working on that exact goal.” The Ohio Republican has served two terms in the House. Gonzalez also cited concerns for his two young children and a desire to spend more time with them in his choice not to run.
Melania Trump will be at her husband's side if former President Trump decides to run for another term in the White House, according to advisers and figures close to the couple. They hit back at a recent report that Melania was intent on avoiding another four years as first lady.  'If you see them together at Mar-a-Lago you know they are in this together and all the reports about them leading separate lives are nonsense,' said a frequent visitor to Trump's Florida club.  Trump has dropped frequent hints that he is planning a 2024 run but aides say he is unlikely to make a formal announcement until after nest year's midterm elections. That leaves political commentators guessing about his intentions - and those of his wife. Insiders told CNN on Sunday that the former model was content being a mother to 15-year-old Barron and had 'zero desire' to return to the White House.  But allies responded by insisting the report was false.  'If [Trump] runs, she will be right there,' an adviser told Politico.  'She's not going to have her...
Far from his home state of Florida, Gov. Ron DeSantis railed against President Biden, not the Democrats challenging him in next year's gubernatorial race, at a political fundraising event in Nebraska over the weekend.  'If you watch Biden, he always has to talk about Florida loves talking about things that we're doing down there,' DeSantis said Sunday. 'If he spent a little less time talking about Florida and more time doing his job as commander in chief, we might not have 13 service members who were killed in action in Afghanistan because of his ineptitude and dereliction of duty.  DeSantis was joined by other Republican heavyweights rumored to be considering a 2024 presidential run, Sen. Ted Cruz and former Vice President Mike Pence.  'My message from Florida is this: When Joe Biden violates the Constitution, when Joe Biden attacks the jobs of Floridians and Americans, when Joe Biden targets the livelihood of Florida families and American families, I am fighting back against him,' DeSantis said at Gov. Donald Trump joked on Saturday he would 'love' to be mayor of New York City, claiming he could clean it up and help stop crime in no time if he rose to the position once held by his former personal attorney Rudy Giuliani. The former president also hinted again while visiting with police officers in New York on the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that he may make another White House bid in 2024. 'If you decide not to run for president – if you decide not to, would you consider running for mayor of New York City?' one person at the event at a police precinct and fire department in New York City on Saturday asked. 'Well that's an interesting question,' Trump chuckled and was met with a round of laughs from the room. 'I would love that.' 'I'd tell you, we could straighten it out. Former President Donald Trump thanked the mother of a Marine killed in the Kabul explosion on Wednesday after she urged him to run for president and claimed her son was 'murdered for Biden optics.' Kathy McCollum, mother of Lance Corporal Rylee McCollum, has been vocal in her disapproval of President Biden and previously called him a 'dementia-ridden piece of crap.' 'We need the corrupt pseudo president gone. President Trump has to run. My son should not be gone. President Trump would never allowed this to happen. We need him back in office to save this country,' she wrote in the message shared by Trump Wednesday. In his statement to supporters, the ex-president directed the opening line at her. 'Thank you, Kathy. America feels your loss and fully understands your pain. Rylee will never be forgotten,' Trump said. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis called rumors that he would run for president in the 2024 election 'nonsense' amid claims Donald Trump has stepped up plans to win back the White House. 'All the speculation about me is purely manufactured,' DeSantis said during a press conference on Tuesday to discuss a new COVID-19 treatment unit in St. Cloud, Florida. 'I just do my job. You know, we work hard. Obviously, our state has led on a lot of things including this and now other states are copying us. But that's what it's really all about, just helping folks here.' He added: 'I hear all this stuff and honestly it's nonsense. So, you know, I really don't know what to say to those rumors.'
(CNN)The 2024 election is still 1,155 days away -- I counted -- but, according to one senior aide to Donald Trump, the former president is all-but-certain to run again."I would say somewhere between 99 and 100 percent," Jason Miller told Cheddar earlier this month when asked about the chances that Trump runs again. "I think he is definitely running in 2024."Which sounds, well, sort of definitive -- ahem -- right? Then there's this from Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan during a stop in Iowa -- eyes emoji! -- last week. "I think he's gonna run," Jordan said of Trump. "I want him to run. He's proven he can take the heat. Now, Trump himself hasn't been as conclusive but he has made very clear he is leaning toward getting into the 2024 race. As Politico wrote in May:Read More"Trump is confiding in allies that he intends to run again in 2024 with one contingency: that he still has a good bill of health, according to two sources close to the former president. A new report suggests Melania Trump has no wish to be the First Lady again, nor does she plan to help her husband, former President Donald Trump, to regain the White House. Mr. Trump has yet to say definitively if he’ll run again, but as the world continues to speculate on whether he does or not, CNN’s Kate Bennett released a report describing Mrs. Trump’s retreat from the public spotlight. Bennett underlined her report by saying that Mrs. Trump has told people she has no desire to return to the White House, and doesn’t plan on helping her husband get there. “I’ve spoke to people who’ve said that she’s not even really interested in being in the White House again, going through being First Lady again,” Bennett report on CNN’s Inside Politics. “She really has no interest in helping her husband with…his next-step political ambitions.” Bennett also spoke about how Mrs. Trump is “an extremely private person,” and she and her husband “lead very independent lives” from one another. While Bennett said this wasn’t exactly a surprise, she noted...
BOSTON (CBS) – Charlie Baker has not yet decided if he will seek a third term as governor in 2022. But if he does, could he face a foe in former President Donald Trump? Baker, who has not yet announced plans for a potential re-election campaign, sat down with WBZ-TV political analyst Jon Keller. READ MORE: Story Land Extending Season Into October Rep. Former President Trump is 'about ready' to announce his run for the presidency in 2024, according to Rep. Jim Jordan. 'President Trump, he's going to run again,' the congressman said in a clip released by Undercurrent TV journalist Lauren Windsor.  'You think so?' another person in the conversation is heard saying. 'I know so, yeah, I talked to him yesterday,' Jordan said, speaking at a Dallas County GOP event in Iowa.  'He's about ready to announce after all of this craziness in Afghanistan,' the Ohio Republican continued.  Windsor teased Jordan's claim on Twitter before releasing the clip. After she tweeted Jordan's remarks, a spokesperson for the congressman claimed he didn't say that.  'Apparently Jim Jordan's spokesperson has claimed he did not tell me tonight that Trump is imminently announcing his run for 2024. We can't both be right. See for yourself, video coming tomorrow... stay tuned,' Windsor wrote before later releasing the full clip.  DailyMail.com has reached out to Jordan's office for comment.  Meanwhile, former Trump adviser Jason Miller said Thursday that he is nearly positive Trump will run again.  ...
Jason Miller said he thinks Donald Trump is “definitely” running for president in 2024. The longtime Trump adviser, who now runs social media startup Gettr, said the former president is “99, 100%” likely to run again in an interview with Cheddar anchor J.D. Durkin. “What is the likelihood President Trump runs again in 2024?” Durkin asked on None of the Above. “I would say somewhere between 99 and 100 percent. I think he is definitely running in 2024,” Miller said. “I had a good conversation with him last night. I’m going to go see him in another couple days here.” “He has not said the magical words to me, but if you talk to him for a few minutes it’s pretty clear that he’s running,” Miller added. Trump has declined to say publicly whether he will run in 2024. A “Trump confidant” told Vanity Fair in a report out this week that he’s likely to tease a run right up until the last moment. “Knowing Trump, he’ll dangle it right up to the New Hampshire primary filing deadline,” the source...
"Wouldn't it be fantastic if the legendary Herschel Walker ran for the United States Senate in Georgia? He would be unstoppable, just like he was when he played for the Georgia Bulldogs, and in the NFL. He is also a GREAT person. Run Herschel, run!" Trump said in a March statement. Some state Republicans have expressed concerns because Walker, a political outsider, has never run for office. But he'll have high name recognition heading into the GOP primary in May 2022. The Senate seat is currently occupied by Democratic Sen. Raphael Warnock. While the former president has been out of office for more than half a year, he has continued to remain quite active politically, issuing frequent statements about current events and endorsing various candidates.

HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) — A former state lawmaker and two-time congressional candidate from the Pittsburgh area who appeared to support efforts to overturn President Joe Biden’s victory said Monday that he will run for the Republican nomination for lieutenant governor next year. Rick Saccone, 63, will make a formal announcement on Sept. 10, he said. His comments also appeared to support Trump’s pressure on Vice President Mike Pence, who presided over the session, to tip the results in Trump’s favor, although Pence’s role was strictly ceremonial. “We are in front of the U.S. Capitol, hundreds of thousands of people storming the Capitol, they broke down the gates, they’re macing them up there, we’re trying to run out all the evil...

Former President Trump will say, 'it's time for real leadership in the White House,' at a rally in Alabama this evening, according to a top ally who said it was a clearest signal yet that he is planning to run for the presidency in 2024. Trump has spent the past week attacking President Biden's handling of the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan. And when he appears in front of thousands of fans in Cullman County he is expected to develop those attacks to ask whether Americans can be safe anywhere in the world with Biden in the White House, said the ally who has seen drafts of the speech. 'I'm expecting to hear the president use the line: 'It's time for real leadership in the White House,' he said. 'And even though aides say there is no final announcement, no final decision it still is the clearest indicator that he's likely to run in 2024.'  Former President Trump has been in out of New York - pictured here as he left Trump Tower in Manhattan on Monday - as he...
Steve Bannon presented a breathless timeline in which he said former President Donald Trump should become House speaker and lead an impeachment effort against President Joe Biden before resigning to run for the White House in 2024. The former White House chief strategist discussed the unprecedented scenario during an episode of his War Room show on Wednesday while criticizing Biden's handling of the Afghanistan withdrawal. After saying "people should be court-martialed" over U.S. forces abandoning Bagram Airfield , which some have opined could have been used to help with evacuations following the Taliban's rapid takeover of the country, Bannon said this issue could be "one of the big charges eventually brought" against Biden. "This thing is going to be huge," Bannon continued. "That's why I say, hey, Donald Trump should be elected the speaker of the House after [Republicans] have the sweeping victory in November '22, at least for 100 days, take the gavel from [House Speaker] Nancy Pelosi, gavel him in, start the impeachment process. In 100 days, punch out and go run for president of the United States...
Hillbilly Elegy author JD Vance got called out in public for becoming a Donald Trump supporter now when it conveniently advances his political prospects. Vance, who is running as a Republican candidate for Senator of Ohio, was called out by a woman on Monday as he wrapped up a speaking engagement among local GOPers. The heckler was clearly taking issue with the fact that Vance used to be a Trump critic before embracing the ex-president “Why didn’t you support President Trump? Who are you saying all those things that aren’t true?” The woman exclaimed. “I did support President Trump,” Vance responded, though the woman shot back “No, you did not!” “That’s the reason our the country is in the condition it’s in, because of Republicans who didn’t do what they needed to do,” she continued to scattered applause. “That’s the reason why we’re here to change that, and you’re part of the problem, sir!” Just before Vance got involved in Ohio’s Senate race, he went on a digital purge in order to scrub his Trump old criticisms before adopting the...
Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has issued a call for President Biden to take charge of rapidly deteriorating situation in Afghanistan and launch America air strikes against the Taliban who are surrounding the Afghan capital, Kabul.   It looks like the Biden demonstration has just failed in its execution of its own plan. It looks like they are now trying to get folks out. It also looks like there's a bit of panic having to reinsert soldiers to get them out,' Pompeo began.  'I hope we get these folks out. I hope they will bring the airpower. They should go crush these Taliban who are surrounding Kabul. We should do it with American airpower, we should put pressure on them, we should inflict cost and pain on them,' Pompeo demanded. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo slammed President Joe Biden amid the Taliban's takeover of Afghanistan If I were still the Secretary of State with a Commander in Chief like President Trump, the Taliban would have understood that there were real costs to pay if there were plots against America....
