Not for the @buccaneers, my guys are pretty good,” the Bucs quarterback wrote on Twitter. “But I’m having a practice session and I want you and a friend to join me.” Entering the drawing to catch passes from Brady will support non-profit Best Buddies, which serves more than 200 million people worldwide who are living with intellectual and developmental disabilities, or IDD, according to its website. Getty Wide receiver Julian Edelman #11 celebrates with offensive guard Joe Thuney #62 of the New England Patriots after scoring a touchdown in the first quarter of the game against the Cleveland Browns. The New York Giants‘ offensive line, one of the worst graded units in all of football a season ago, is riddled with uncertainty as we inch closer to free agency. A youth movement upfront has clouded the futures of veteran mainstays Nate Solder, Kevin Zeitler and Will Hernandez. With cap casualty on the horizon, there’s a chance that all three players have already played their final snap in a Giants uniform. Strapped for cash, New York could save $6 million by cutting Solder – a potentially feasible decision depending on how the team feels about 2020 third-round pick Matt Peart. As for Zeitler, releasing or trading the soon-to-be 31-year-old would yield essentially double the amount...

After a long layoff, Bryant was hardly featured in the Ravens offense across six games. At the opening of Tuesday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” host Tucker Carlson criticized the media and tech companies for efforts to censor any skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine. Carlson called out restrictions on those trying to relay their ordeals with the coronavirus vaccine and warned the limitations could have long-term consequences. Transcript as follows: CARLSON: You’ve probably been glued to the tube all day, Donald Trump’s second impeachment proceedings started. We didn’t watch any of it. We did hear from a number of people that Trump’s head lawyer didn’t do a very good job. On a slow day that might be a mildly interesting fact. But at this point, honestly, who cares? Impeachment? The whole thing is ridiculous. They are literally impeaching a President who isn’t even the President anymore. They’re yelling at someone who’s already left the room. It’s a farce, insulting and absurd. Anyone...

Super Bowl 2021 is the most important sporting event in the United States. The large number of spectators that it gathers each year has made your break during the game is a great opportunity to promote the different projects that can be enjoyed in the cinema and on television throughout the year. On this occasion, it was surprising to see a preview of the new film starring Bob Odenkirk, « Nobody », translated in Spain as « Nobody », where the actor will play an aggressive character in a plot written by Derek Kolstad, screenwriter of « John Wick ». Known for his role as Saul Goodman / Jimmy McGill in ‘Breaking Bad’ and ‘Better Call Saul’, Odenkirk is once again playing an antihero in the feature film directed by Ilya Naishuller. Joe Biden arrived back in Washington Monday after spending the weekend in Delaware as Democrats move forward this week with pushing through his $1.9 trillion coronavirus relief package – including a new bill with $3,600 child tax credits. Democratic lawmakers are unveiling Monday legislation that would give even more direct cash benefits for Americans as the pandemic continues to rock the nation by providing at maximum between $3,000-$3,600 per child to households earning less than $150,000. The goal of the initiative, proposed by Representative Richard Neal of Massachusetts – who is also chair of the House Ways and Means Committee – is to drastically reduce child poverty in the U.S. 'The pandemic is driving families deeper and deeper into poverty, and it's devastating,' Neal said in a statement. 'This money is going to be the difference in a roof over someone's head or food on their table. This is how...
Moments before Super Bowl LV kicked off Sunday night, President Joe Biden and First Lady Jill Biden made a pre-recorded appearance to honor the more than 463,000 people who have died from COVID-19 by asking for a moment of silence, but instead they were booed by the crowd.  'Before kickoff we wanted to thank all the frontline healthcare heroes both at the game and watching across the country. You put yourself at risk to keep the rest of us safe. You and your families carried us through this year with courage, compassion and kindness. We couldn't have made it without you. With all our hearts thank you.  The president said: 'Now as we thank you and all of our essential workers, let's remember we all can do our part to save lives. Wear masks, stay socially-distanced, get tested, get vaccinated when it's your turn, and most of all let's remember...

He did have a lot of body doubles to support. The Weeknd and his field full of bandaged-up doppelgängers gave a money performance at the 2021 Super Bowl halftime show. But did the 30-year-old “Blinding Lights” singer actually get any cash for the gig? Reps for show sponsor Pepsi and The Weeknd both declined to say whether he raked in the big bucks for his widely viewed stadium performance. But the likely answer is no. Every Super Bowl halftime performer, from Beyoncé to Bruno Mars, has essentially worked for free. Despite selling out stadiums on world tours, most halftime A-listers are reportedly paid “union scale,” which is “a fraction of the six- and seven-figure sums” they rake in on the reg, according to Forbes. It’s usually worth the underpaid labor for these stars, since they could get as many as 104 million sets of eyeballs on them,...

A maximum of 20 percent of the venue’s capacity is estimated, due to the health crisis; however, the show is for viewers, so The Weeknd...

They have to be able to read those boots, those nakeds, read those plays to apply pressure. Because what makes Mahomes so great is, he can kill you with his feet or he can launch it down field....

The Kansas City Chiefs aren’t the only Super Bowl participant with its name in the crosshairs this year after a Washington Post op-ed blasted Tampa Bay’s embrace of the name Buccaneers, which allegedly “romanticizes” the brutal history of piracy. “Yet, while this celebration of piracy seems like innocent fun and pride in a local culture, there is danger in romanticizing ruthless cutthroats who created a crisis in world trade when they captured and plundered thousands of ships on Atlantic trade routes between the Americas, Africa and Great Britain,” wrote historian Jamie L.H. Goodall Friday. “Why? Because it takes these murderous thieves who did terrible things — like locking women and children in a burning church — and makes them a symbol of freedom and adventure, erasing their wicked deeds from historical memory. These were men (and women) who willingly participated in murder, torture and the brutal enslavement of Africans and...
BOSTON (CBS) — One of Tom Brady’s most cherished traditions in recent years has involved a well-made pump-up video for big games. Super Bowl LV will be no exception. Brady shared a rather intense video through his social media channels on Sunday afternoon, just about five hours before kickoff for his Buccaneers against the Chiefs in this year’s Super Bowl in Tampa. Serving as the narrator to his own video, Brady’s message was deep: In this journey, there is no final destination. There is only the next one. In the pursuit of perfection, the only thing that counts is the journey itself. The pursuit itself. And those who give their lives to it, this moment and the focus required to seize it, this fight and the commitment required to face it. Because there’s no such thing as perfect. There is only the relentless pursuit of perfection. That is our cause....

(CBSDFW.COM) – It may be the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs in this Sunday’s Super Bowl, but all eyes will be on the matchup between quarterbacks Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. Or, as it is mainly known as, the GOAT versus the Kid. The owner of Oba Farms in Greenville, Texas is getting a kick out of all the attention the domestic farm animal is getting now through the popular tagline for Super Bowl 55. The acronym GOAT, of course, has nothing to do with an actual goat, but fans are having fun with it to describe the Bucs quarterback who is going for his seventh Super Bowl win. Mahomes, who is 18 years younger than Brady, is being labeled as the kid, which is the name for a baby goat. Adam Cook, who coached Mahomes at Whitehouse High School in Whitehouse, Texas, weighed in on all...
