hello.com Heidi Klum’s daughter shows her unapologetic acne with this close-up Many women have experienced acne problems in recent months, say dermatologists, who point to the use of the sanitary mask as the main cause of these breakouts. The phenomenon has been baptized as maskné, it usually affects the areas of the face that remain covered most of the day and cleaning, light cosmetics or diet are just some of the gestures with which to solve the problem. Patience and acceptance are also key in the process, two virtues that Leni, the daughter of Heidi Klum, boasts on the networks. The first-born of the German is now a model, just like her mother, but, far from projecting an image of perfection, she has wanted to show her skin without filters or makeup to her fans to normalize imperfections and become a standard bearer of natural beauty. (CBS4) – Migraines affect 40 million Americans, yet it’s a disease that is often overlooked and misdiagnosed. 20% of women will experience migraine during their lifetime. “About half of patients are undiagnosed and a lot of people at home are suffering,” says Dr. Ravi Shah, founder of Neurology of the Rockies. Dr. Shah is also the NFL consultant for the Broncos and takes care of the team’s head injuries. He says the most common complication of concussion is a headache. “Headaches are often a very tough symptom to treat, and most people with concussions that have lingering headaches have migraine-like headaches so it’s very important to make sure we get them the appropriate treatment.” Treatments for migraine include medications for both migraine prevention, and for the treatment of an acute attack. The newest on the market is Nurtec ODT. “It’s very effective, it works very quickly, and it’s...
Ever since the introduction of dual sticks, video game controllers haven’t changed that much. There’s been the addition of share buttons and some ergonomic tweaks, but the way you interact with and experience games is largely the same. That’s what makes Sony’s DualSense controller so interesting. Introduced alongside the PlayStation 5, the DualSense is a controller that looks fairly familiar on the surface. But it’s also one that comes with an enticing idea: that the feelings in your hands can further immerse you in a game. The DualSense’s biggest innovations are new haptic vibrations and rear triggers with variable tension, which can do everything from simulate walking on a sandy beach to let you know when your point guard is tired. When used right, the DualSense actually makes games better. The controller Photo by Vjeran Pavic / The News Brig At...
I can’t say I had very high expectations for Astro’s Playroom, a game that comes free with every PlayStation 5 console. I figured it might be a cute series of minigames, akin to the robot-themed minigames in the PlayStation 4’s pack-in title, The Playroom. That PS4 game was the sort of thing you boot up once, mess around with for 30 minutes, and then forget it exists. Astro’s Playroom is not that. This free pack-in is one of the best games of 2020. Astro’s Playroom is a 3D platformer in the spirit of Super Mario Odyssey. I run around as Astro, a blue and white robot who happens to match the color scheme of the PlayStation 5. Astro’s core moveset is simple: jumping, hovering with a jetpack, and punching stuff. That’s it. The world around Astro does give those abilities more range, from springboards to special power suits, but Astro...
Over the last seven years, I’ve used no controller more than the Xbox One controller. Thanks to its ease of use and ubiquitous support in PC games, it has pulled double duty, bouncing between the console in my living room to the gaming PC in my office and back again. I’m very fond of the Xbox One controller. It’s a true workhorse. So when news came out that the updated version of the Xbox gamepad was striving for quality-of-life improvements over a vast overhaul, I was perfectly fine with that. And after playing a wide variety of games with it over the last few days, I’m still perfectly fine with this measured approach. The question is whether “perfectly fine” is enough these days. The first thing I notice when picking up the new Xbox controller is that it feels much smaller in the hand compared to the old Xbox One...
Deep inside this teardown video of the new PlayStation 5 DualSense controller is a look at how the controller’s variable, adaptive triggers actually work. The DualSense’s variable triggers are another, newer form of haptic feedback, which can convey things like a gun jamming up, or a superstar footballer tiring out on the pitch. TronicsFix pulled apart the DualSense 5 to examine the unit’s overall reparability; the trigger closeup comes at the 9:15 mark. If you’re expecting this to be an “actually, it’s quite a simple device,” type revelation, well, forget it. I have no idea how Sony’s engineers figured this out, but it’s brilliant. If the entire world was nothing but people like me, I don’t think we’d have designed anything this ingenious. I don’t think we’d have designed the wheel yet, either. The way the PS5’s Dualsense controller creates variable tension on the triggers is really amazing. It’s a...
(CNN Business)A version of this article first appeared in the "Reliable Sources" newsletter. You can sign up for free right here.Sometimes seismic changes in American life happen with a crack, a bang, an explosion in the sky. Other times they happen through a final breath, a vote, a whisper. Monday's ascendance of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court was the latter. President Trump just hosted a nighttime swearing-in for Barrett on the South Lawn of the White House, reminiscent of his Republican National Convention address there two months ago, and his return home from Walter Reed three weeks ago. For Trump's detractors, it felt like it was happening under the cover of darkness; for his supporters, it felt like a prime time TV celebration."It's a really, really big deal," Dana Perino said on Fox earlier in the evening, before the Senate officially voted to confirm. "And it's kind of...
PARADISE — The sky glowed black and orange Wednesday morning, just like it did that horrific day two years ago when the town of Paradise was all but wiped off the map. When Geri Needham looked out her window from her newly-built home, she was certain flames were leaping in her neighbor’s wooded yard and called Mayor Greg Bolin, who thought he saw a nearby hillside on fire. Panic quickly set in across Paradise Wednesday as rumors flew and cars crowded Skyway Road again to get out of town. But there were no flames nearby. Not yet. It was only the blood red sun rising through smoke of the still distant but devastating Bear Fire. “It puts a panic into you,” said Bolin, who like most of the residents of Paradise lost their homes in the Nov. 8, 2018,  inferno — California’s most deadly and destructive wildfire that killed 85...
(CNN)Emergency officials are warning people to watch out for flash floods in areas scorched by Arizona's Bighorn Fire.Officials in Pima County released video last week of a debris flow in Tucson's Cañada del Oro Wash after a light rain. They said wildfires increase flood risk because they leave the ground charred, barren and unable to absorb water.Who had this on their 2020 hellscape bingo card? pic.twitter.com/fUNvIVS7aw— Official Pima County (@pimaarizona) July 16, 2020 At first, the advancing floodwaters look like a slow-moving, black blob moving toward the camera like a creature in an old-fashioned monster movie. The water rushes past in seconds, carrying ash and steaming debris.Debris flows like this are one of the most dangerous hazards after a wildfire because they can occur with little or no warning, according to the US Geological Survey's California Water Science Center. At last report, the Bighorn Fire had burned 119,741 acres since it...
