The pandemic forced many parents to take out their children when they started working from home or were they fired. However, if the centers shut down when Americans can return to work they will not have a place to care for their children. The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021, which will be retaken in the Senate this Wednesday, includes resources to help this sector with about $ 39 billion in federal funding that could help these small businesses to stay afloat by providing retroactive funds to pay off debts they have incurred. A sign of awareness that without this industry and workers, parents...

The wife of Sen. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., has detailed a frightening protest that was staged outside the couple's Virginia home on the night of Jan. 4. Erin Hawley, an attorney, told "Hannity" she was at home with her seven-week-old daughter when she heard "angry voices" outside. The senator and the couple's two sons were back in Missouri at the time. "I came up the stairs and saw about 20 protesters standing outside of our home," Hawley told host Sean Hannity. "They were shouting with bull horns. I stepped outside with our baby in our arms and asked them to leave, saying that we had a new baby -- which was obvious -- as well as neighbors. They refused." After Hawley returned inside, she said, "three gentlemen" pounded at her door and yelled into bull horns for her to "come out, come out." Twitter permanently suspended Project Veritas from its platform Thursday, citing repeated violations of their rules 'against posting private information'.   The conservative watchdog's founder, James O'Keefe, was also temporarily locked out of his account for beaching the same privacy policy, pending the deletion of tweet, a spokesperson told the Daily Beast. The suspensions reportedly stem from a video the group shared on Wednesday featuring Facebook's Vice President of Integrity, Guy Rosen, a screenshot shared by Project Veritas on Telegram indicated.    In the footage, which is still available on YouTube, Rosen is confronted outside his home by Veritas' Christian Hartsock regarding claims that Facebook 'freezes' comments on threads where the site's algorithm detects there 'may be' hate speech.  While Project Veritas did blur the licence plates of the cars parked in Rosen's driveway, the number of the executive's home is briefly visible in the clip.  Twitter has not yet returned a DailyMail.com...

A second patient has died at a Queens nursing home after being excluded from COVID-19 vaccinations, The Post has learned. Carmen Martinez, 92, died Thursday after clinging to life on a hospital ventilator for two weeks, her family said. The rate of coronavirus vaccinations is high among nursing home residents in the U.S. but low among staff members, a new report finds. More than three-quarters of people living in long-term care facilities had received at least one dose of the COVID-19 immunization, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) revealed on Wednesday. However, when it came to nurses, administrators and others working at centers who were offered the jab, just a little more than one-third had received it. The findings confirm anecdotal reports of nursing home staff members turning down vaccines and feeling they are being treated as 'guinea pigs.' Researchers say more outreach efforts are needed to ensure this vulnerable population that the shot is both safe and effective.   A new CDC report found that nearly 78% precent of nursing home residents have received at least one vaccine dose with half of facilities vaccinating at least 60%...

Animals are being forced to travel up to 70 per cent further to find food and mates compared to 40 years ago, due to human activity, a new study has warned.    Researchers from the University of Sydney analysed 208 separate studies on 167 animal species published since the early 1980s to track animal movement.  Animals looked at ranged from the sleepy orange butterfly to the heavily culled European badger, the black bear and the 2,000 kilogram great white shark.  Total movement increases averaged 70 per cent, but in more than a third of cases, animals were forced into changes that led to movement increases of more than 50 per cent.  Animal movement is increased by human activity like logging and urbanisation, as well as episodic events like hunting and military activity.  The researchers say the findings could have important policy implications for managing animal biodiversity.  A 'contentious and divisive'...

Bloomberg columnist Eli Lake blasted members of the mainstream media who "couldn't stop swooning" over New York Gov. On a Saturday evening in June 1969, almost every TV in the land tuned in to watch a BBC documentary that was simply titled Royal Family. And for an enthralling 110 minutes, with a two-minute interval, the nation was spell-bound. For a generation brought up to view the Queen and her family as remote figures, what unfolded was nothing short of a sensation. The royals were shown as a real family, eating, chatting and laughing, while dispelling some of the myths that had grown around them. Viewers saw the Queen in a village store buying an ice cream for five-year-old Prince Edward and handing over a half crown — 12 and a half pence — in payment. Detectives say he molested her on a trip back from the shore. Five California businesses are suing Gov. Gavin Newsom, Attorney General Xavier Becerra and public health officer Dr. Erica Pan over the state's coronavirus stay-at-home orders.  Lawyers representing Pineapple Hill Saloon & Grill, Luxury Nail Lounge, Pomp Salon, Bella & Harmony and Coachella Valley Hospitality Unites argue that the restrictions violate the merchants' constitutional rights.
