Prince William is supporting wife Kate Middleton after Meghan Markle claimed the two women had a tearful confrontation days before the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's 2018 wedding, a royal author has claimed. The Duke of Cambridge, 38, is 'very protective' of the Duchess of Cambridge, 39, following Meghan, 39, and Prince Harry's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey last week. During the couple's tell-all, Meghan addressed reports she made her sister-in-law cry over a disagreement regarding bridesmaid dresses ahead of the royal wedding. 'The reverse happened', the duchess told her friend Oprah, claiming she was the one who teared up. 'For Meghan to name Kate in a negative light is worse [for Prince William] than being attacked himself,' royal biographer Penny Junor told People. She added: 'William is very protective of Kate and can get very angry.' The Duke of Cambridge, 38, is 'very protective' of the Duchess of...

Back in November 1955, a Soviet train was crawling out of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan, when someone burst into one of the carriages, claiming he had seen a 'flying saucer' in the twilight sky. 'We turned off the light as quickly as possible,' said a witness. 'I saw a shadowy form above the horizon to the south.  Its profile was not clearly outlined against the night sky but it appeared to be shaped like a partially deflated balloon with a slight dome on top . . . It was off the ground and rising rather slowly in a vertical direction.' The object will sound familiar to fans of UFO films: a white light on top of the 'dome' and a pink-white glow moving clockwise around the perimeter, like a pinwheel. The object, the size of a small aircraft, was at most two miles away, the eyewitness estimated.  Back...

Fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe seemed to try to warn President Trump off from declassifying further information related to the Trump-Russia investigation, saying that there was still secretive classified intelligence that could “risk casting the president in a very negative light.” McCabe signed off on the fourth and final Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act warrant targeting Trump campaign associate Carter Page after former FBI Director James Comey was fired in 2017, but he testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee that he wouldn’t have done so if he knew then what he knows now about the flaws with the bureau’s FISA applications. Trump has been pushing for further public releases related to the Trump-Russia investigation in 2020 following Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s FISA abuse report that criticized the FBI for a host of mistakes and its reliance on British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s discredited dossier, but McCabe told...
Classified intelligence on Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election and the ties to Donald Trump’s campaign could cast the president in a “very negative light,” the former head of the FBI is claiming. Andrew McCabe, who served as acting FBI director during the launch of the probe, said that secret intel from the investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s campaign could uncover some very damaging revelations. McCabe had appeared earlier in the week before the Senate Judiciary Committee, which is investigating how the FBI first launched the probe into Russian interference and the potential ties to Trump. As the Independent reported, he testified that the agency had a “duty” to follow through with the investigation given what they had found. Appearing on CNN on Friday, he was asked by host Chris Cuomo whether there was any information found that would have cleared Trump. The former bureau chief...
Andrew McCabe, the former FBI deputy director who signed off on a fraudulent warrant to surveil a Trump campaign aide, claimed on Friday that there exists never-before-seen intelligence that would cast a “very negative light” on President Donald Trump. McCabe was the FBI’s second-in-command when the bureau opened its investigation into whether members of the Trump campaign conspired with Russia to influence the 2016 election. McCabe has emphatically defended the probe, even though a special counsel’s investigation determined that the Trump team did not conspire with Russia. But he now insists, without providing evidence, that the intelligence community possesses information that is damning to Trump. “There is some very, very serious, very specific undeniable intelligence that has not come out that if it were released would risk compromising our access to that sort of information in the future. I think it would also risk casting the president in a very negative...

“By Dawn’s Early Light” is a pretty cool WWIII film. Somehow, I managed to stumble upon the nuclear apocalypse film from 1990, and I decided to fire it up because I needed something to watch while cranking out some work. (REVIEW: ‘Westworld’ Season 3 Ends With The Possible Deaths Of Multiple Characters) It’s not a secret at all that I love WWIII movies. Nothing gets me going like a fake war against the Soviet Union. It’s why I watch “Red Dawn” all the time. The plot of the film is pretty straightforward. A nuclear explosion in the Soviet Union sets off a chain reaction of events that spiral out of control before anyone can stop them. Before anyone realizes it, the United States is in a full-blown nuclear war with the Soviet Union. The film focuses mostly on the pilots responsible for bombing the Soviet Union, and the Secretary of...
Vice President Mike Pence complained Friday morning that the Democratic National Convention was 'grim' and 'very negative, very hostile' after Democratic nominee Joe Biden torched President Donald Trump's tenure as the nation's 'season of darkness.'  'I didn't get to watch a lot of it but the parts that I saw over the course of the whole week painted a very grim picture of the United States of America. It was very negative, very hostile,' Pence said on Fox Business Network.  Speaking specifically to Biden's speech, Pence said the former vice president held a 'very, very negative view of America,' as the current vice president did a tour of the morning shows to counter the Democrat's message.       Vice President Mike Pence called the Democratic National Convention 'grim, negative and very hostile' after Democratic nominee called the Trump administration the nation's 'season of darkness'  President Donald Trump abandoned his usual...
When I buy beets, carrots and turnips at the market, they are often presented as bright bunches, crowned with exuberant stalks sprouting a cascade of green leaves. While it may be tempting to chop off the stems and discard the mountain of greens left behind with the trimmings … do not do that. These greens are delicious on their own, sauteed in olive oil, blitzed into pestos, folded into omelets and baked in frittatas. Rich in nutrients and ranging from sweet to peppery to earthy in flavor, they are an underappreciated bonus attached to your roots and crucifers. Lately, I’ve been on a beet green kick. Yellow or golden beets are sweet, nutty and less earthy than their red brethren, and their mildness is reflected in the flavor of their leaves. I remove and store the leaves in a plastic bag in the refrigerator, where they can last for up...

An image of a spectacular butterfly-shaped bubble of gas in the Milky Way has been captured by the European Southern Observatory (ESO) telescope.  The striking planetary nebula, known as NGC 2899, appears to float and flutter across the sky in this pristine image from ESO’s Very Large Telescope (VLT) in Chile. A planetary nebula is created when a star runs out of fuel to burn and blows its outer layers of gas off into space.  NGC 2899 has never before been captured in such detail, revealing faint outer edges of an expanding shell of gas glowing over the background stars.    Blue parts of the 'butterfly', located up to 6,500 light-years away, consists of oxygen gas, while the surrounding reddish tinge along the edge is hydrogen.  Scroll down for video  This highly detailed image of NGC 2899 planetary nebula was captured using the FORS instrument on ESO’s Very Large Telescope in...
