Legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby created or co-created an unfathomable number of characters, but they didn’t all become household names like the Fantastic Four or Darkseid. In fact, many of Kirby’s imagination babies remain relative unknowns. The Eternals, who first appeared in 1976, were that before Marvel Studios anointed them a future blockbuster franchise. And now Marvel is reviving them in a new series, with this week’s Eternals #1. The ensemble has been traditionally made up of a species of ageless humanoid entities with individually-distinct powers and personalities, plus a splashy fashion sensibility. They share more than a few attributes with denizens of Kirby’s Fourth World stories in the DC universe, who have a lot in common with Marvel’s version of the Asgardians, who an uninformed onlooker might mix up with the Inhumans. But The Eternals are significant in the Marvel Universe, and they’re back with ample...

MADRID (Reuters) - Pfizer has postponed the delivery of a new batch of the coronavirus vaccine to Spain by one day to Tuesday due to a logistics hurdle, Health Minister Salvador Illa said on Monday. The company suffered an incident related to the control of temperature in the process of loading and sending out the vaccines, the minister said, adding the incident is now solved. "They (vaccines) will be available tomorrow first thing in the morning in vaccination points," Illa said in an interview to Cadena SER radio station. Spain started vaccinating people on Sunday. He expected around 70% of the country's population to be immunized by the end of the summer. The delay in Spain comes after the vaccination campaign in Germany faced delays in several cities after temperature trackers showed that about 1,000 vaccine doses made by Pfizer and its partner BioNTech may have not been kept cold...
(CNN)Rebecca Spoor was too young to vote in the general election. The 17-year-old Georgian thought she would have to wait until the next election cycle to cast her first ballot. But now, with her state's runoff elections on the horizon, Spoor, who turns 18 on January 3, is excited to become a first-time voter much sooner. While Election Day has come and gone, the races for Georgia's US Senate seats are headed to runoffs since none of the candidates received a majority of the vote in November. Voters will go to the polls once again on January 5. The fate of the Senate majority hinges on whichever party wins in the runoffs, and Democrats are hoping to flip the seats so Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will be able to break ties in the upper chamber. With that at stake, groups that had made a concerted effort to turn out young voters...
In the key state of Arizona, the latest batch of votes that have been counted have reduced Biden's lead even further, to the point where it has shrunk to less than 47,000 votes. Arizona has become a hot point of contention in the 2020 race after Fox News called the state on Tuesday night in a move that was hotly contested by the Trump campaign. At the time, President Trump trailed former Vice President Biden by over 100,000 votes, with substantial remaining votes in Maricopa County, which was trending blue. However, the Trump campaign insisted that the remaining mail-in votes to be counted would break the president's way, and thus far, the numbers have borne that out. Over the last two days, Biden's once-formidable lead in Arizona has frittered away to less than half of what it once was. The batch that was dropped on Thursday night...
Democrat Joe Biden's lead in Arizona has narrowed to just 68,000 votes after a new batch of absentee ballots heavily favored Republican President Donald Trump, giving new life to the Trump camp's theory that a victory is still possible. Trump won the batches of some 140,000 additional ballots from Maricopa County counted Wednesday and early Thursday by a roughly 57-40 margin, nearly exactly the margin he needs in all the state's outstanding ballots to win. After the new votes were counted, the statewide totals stood at 1,469,341 votes, or 50.49 percent, for Biden and 1,400,951 votes, or 48.14 percent, for Trump. An estimated 400,000 votes had yet to be tallied in the state as of early Thursday. Media outlets including the Associated Press have already projected Biden as the winner in Arizona, predicting that his current lead is insurmountable -- but the latest numbers gave Trump's boosters hope.  Your...

In an interview with Fox News broadcast on Friday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said that he has access to a new batch of Hillary Clinton’s emails, Newsweek reported. “We got the emails. We’re getting them out. We’re going to get all this information out so the American people can see it,” he said. Pompeo pointed out that Clinton was caught using a private email server during her tenure as Secretary of State. “You’ll remember there was classified information on a private server — should have never been there. Hillary Clinton should never have done that,” he argued. Pompeo said that President Donald Trump “absolutely” has the authority to declassify such information and noted that the president would put the safety of American intelligence officers first. He added that at least a portion of the emails will be released before November 3. “We’re doing it as fast as we can....

The final season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars was really a series of three different story arcs. First, there was Anakin, Obi-Wan, and the Clone Troopers. Anakin, Obi-Wan, and the clones were joined in the first episode by a group of “defective” clones known as the Bad Batch. This “bad” batch of clones had favorable defects including super-human strength, deadly sharp-shooting abilities, advanced understanding of technology, and superior combat and leadership qualities. This group of troopers wasn’t featured throughout the majority of The Clone Wars series, but their appearance in season 7 has paved the way for a new series entirely, which Star Wars announced would be coming sometime in Spring 2021. Whether they're aware of it or not, influencers are constantly fighting to be seen and battling that "threat of invisibility," said Ciarán Mc Mahon, PhD, the author of "The Psychology of Social Media."
